{"title":"ECOS DE(SDE) JUNHO DE 2013","authors":"MARCO ANTONIO PERRUSO","doi":"10.17771/pucrio.ddcis.64176","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17771/pucrio.ddcis.64176","url":null,"abstract":"This essay reviews June 2013, ten years later, from two specific angles: the Brazilian historical path, which has always oscillated dialectically between two social forces that continuosly reposition themselves: liberalism and nationalism; and the political and cultural agency o four popular classes, which so often reacted to the two diferente styles of class domination defined by these social forces – one based on the market, more excluding and conservative, the other based on the State, able to include subalternly actors from the world of work. I follow, therefore, the way which goes through the rise, fall and rebirth of Lulism. In this context, June 2013 is a phenomenon further rooted in the world of exploitation and oppression of work that tends to structure our social, spatial, rural, racial, gender inequality – notably in relation those excluded from the Lula social compromise. The question is: does the Brazilian right and extreme right claim these protests as theirs? The work sought the opinions of representatives of the extreme right and civil and military right from the very moment of the demonstrations. It also sought to assess the government's responses to the demands presented and to whom the repressive apparatus was addressed to. No segment of the right identified itself with the presented agendas: the movement had a communist bias or was in serious danger of being guided by extreme left organizations. The protesters were colluding with the violence, which justified the dispersion of the acts and the subsequent criminalization of left-wing organizations. Initially, arguments of some authors are presented to reconstruct elements of this legacy. The following are central issues that emerged at the time: demands, the social composition of the protesters, the generational issue, violence in the streets, the need for political reform, the difficulty of dialogue with the government, exposure in the media and social networks. It is asked: what memories were recorded, what were the changes, what were the novelties in the collective actions created, what kind of activism was present? How did the government interact with young people after 2013? How did the process of dedemocratization and anti-democratic acts impact the performance of the youth? This is considered to be a relevant contribution, since a significant portion of the 2013 interprepations and analyzes do not dialogue with the knowledge accumulated by this field of study. Guided by this objective, the paper seeks to avoid the controversy related to attemps to atribute a “meaning of 2013”, which is highlighted by the public debate. Em sua prolífica trajetória acadêmica esteve à frente da pesquisa e coordenação de diversos Projetos Temáticos Fapesp, atuando como pesquisador do cinquentenário Centro Brasileiro de Análise e Planejamento (Cebrap), do qual foi presidente entre junho de 2019 e junho de 2023. No período recente, diante dos grandes desafios para realização da pesquisa científica em nosso país, além de atuar para o desenvolvimento e inovação em pesquisa e metodologia, visando aperfeiçoamento teórico-metodológico multidisciplinar, ele engajou-se ativamente em defesa da institucionalidade democrática.
