The OWEHLD was realized by using the Weibull distribution to transform the exponentiated half-logistic distribution using the quantile function of the log-logistic distribution or the odd ratio as link. This approach for generalizing the half-logistic distribution is the so-called ‘transformed-transformer approach’. Several mathematical properties of the OWEHLD were derived and studied and the maximum likelihood estimation method was employed in estimating its parameters. Real life data sets including a wind speed sample from Nigeria were further used to test the applicability of the new distribution.","PeriodicalId":482741,"journal":{"name":"Earthline Journal of Mathematical Sciences","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135481992","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method extends the techniques of Newton’s and Halley’s methods for iteratively finding the zeros of polynomial equation of single variable to matrix rotation valued problems. It calculates and estimates the eigenvalues using Chevbyshev’s iterative method while computing the rotation matrix. The sample problems were tested on a randomly generated matrix of order from the family of matrix market. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the validity of this work.","PeriodicalId":482741,"journal":{"name":"Earthline Journal of Mathematical Sciences","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135927215","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent years, one of the growing attacks on smartphones is the camera-based attacks. Attackers are able to exploit smartphone vulnerabilities to cause harm to smartphone users by using cameras of the smartphones to capture images and videos. Privacy leakage and confidentiality remains a big threat to smartphone users and this has gained attention from researchers and industry players across the world. In this research paper, a multi-indicator light weight defense scheme is presented to address the rising smartphone camera-based attacks. The random forest algorithm, the Gini coefficient index and the entropy method are adopted in the designing of the proposed scheme. The means of the threat indicators and the Mean Square Deviation (MSD) is also calculated in order to ensure accurate scores and weight assignments of the threat indicators. The proposed multi-indicator light weight scheme demonstrated to be consistent with real situations. A review of literature in camera-based attacks is also presented in this research paper.","PeriodicalId":482741,"journal":{"name":"Earthline Journal of Mathematical Sciences","volume":"46 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136011197","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed distribution is referred to as the XShanker distribution. The distributional properties of the XShanker distribution namely, quantile function, moments and their associated measures,the mode, moment generating function, characteristic function, distribution of order statistics, and entropy are derived and studied. The reliability analysis shows that the failure rate is a strictly increasing function. The parameter of the model was estimated using the maximum likelihood function. We illustrated the usefulness of XShanker distribution using data on waiting times of 100 bank customers and vinyl chloride from clean ungradient ground-water monitoring wells in (g/L).","PeriodicalId":482741,"journal":{"name":"Earthline Journal of Mathematical Sciences","volume":"237 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135353542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The governing equations are expressed in non-dimensional form and the resulting nonlinear equations are solved employing the Homotopy perturbation method for the nondimensional velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles. The effects of various controlling parameters such as Casson parameter, Hartmann number, inclined magnetic parameter, porosity parameter, Grashof number, angle of inclination, Prandtl number, Eckert number, radiation parameter, Schmidt number and thermal radiation parameters are presented graphically and discussed in detail. It was found that, velocity profile is enhanced in the presence of Casson, magnetic field and inclined angle parameters whereas it declined with positive increase in the porosity, Grashof and inclined angle numbers. Similarly, increase in Prandtl, Eckert, radiation and inclined angle numbers lead to increase in the temperature distribution of the fluid, while it deceased as the magnetic field parameter increased. The effect of increased thermal radiation parameter is proportional to the concentration profile, whereas it declines for increase in values of Schmidt number.","PeriodicalId":482741,"journal":{"name":"Earthline Journal of Mathematical Sciences","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134981702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is established that the extended general bivariational inclusions are equivalent to the fixed point problems. This equivalence is used to discuss the existence of a solution of the extended general bivariational inequalities. Some new iterative methods for solving bivariational inclusions and related optimization problems are proposed. Convergence analysis of these methods is investigated under suitable conditions. Some special cases are also discussed of the main results as applications of the main results.","PeriodicalId":482741,"journal":{"name":"Earthline Journal of Mathematical Sciences","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135692191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
