The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of community participation that did not reach the national target in the 2019 simultaneous general election in Tanah Bumbu district of South Kalimantan province. Public political participation in the general election of members of the Regency / City DPRD in Tanah Bumbu Regency did not reach the national target because the public did not understand the importance of the election by preferring to carry out their economic activities rather than attending invitations to polling stations. The behavior of voters with profit and loss considerations has a great effect on the absence. The next stage requires socialization carried out by candidates from competing parties regarding their vision and mission in building the region.","PeriodicalId":472372,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Southeast Asian Studies (IJSAS)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135830792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through the study of literary anthropology, it can be known in the Tale of Banjar that the river is part of the existential change system of the three kingdoms, the Dipa State, the Daha State, and the Banjar Kingdom. Rivers also became part of a religious system that transcendentally had the functions of creation, healing, and oblivion of figures in the royal power structure. The river is also part of a political and governmental system in which an understanding of the water-based fleet (river and sea) makes it a force to conquer the territories around the kingdom, establish diplomatic relations with China, as well as as part of a security defense system in the war between the rulers of the Daha State and the rulers of the Banjar Kingdom.","PeriodicalId":472372,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Southeast Asian Studies (IJSAS)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135878410","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The background of the research is that environmental damage is an implication of the socio-political aspect, namely that environmental change is not neutral, but is a form of environment politicization that involves many actors at the local, regional, and global levels. Through this justification, changes in the forest environment in Banjar Regency are relevant for research. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research results show that deforestation in Banjar Regency is a condition that does not occur due to natural phenomena, but is caused by socio-political factors and involves various actors with various interests. These actors include community groups who are resistant to government policies, environmental groups that have political participation in environmental issues, oligarchic groups who are close to the authorities, and the government itself which has an economic interest orientation in managing the forest environment. Political system back and forth between input and output. Based on the results of existing research, the uniqueness that can be found is that the community is not only an actor affected by the environmental change but also an environmental change actor, besides that the environmental care groups in their political demands are the presence of a religiosity approach in forest management.","PeriodicalId":472372,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Southeast Asian Studies (IJSAS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135885316","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This produces an excessive dependency on the global economy, where commodity price volatility has a very significant impact on the regional economy. This study aims to determine the leading sectors in South Kalimantan Province. This study uses an Input-Output table analysis of South Kalimantan Province in 2016 with 52 sector classifications. Based on the calculation of the power of dispersion index and the degree of sensitivity index, there are four categories in determining the sectors, namely; leading sectors (priority I), strategic/potential sectors (priority II and III), and lagging sectors (priority IV). The results indicate that there are 12 economic sub-sectors which categorized as leading sectors, namely; Electricity, Food and Beverage Industry, Livestock, Timber Industry, Industry of Wood, Goods made of Cork and Woven, and Goods from Bamboo, Rattan and its kind, Rubber Industry, Rubber and Plastic Goods, Non-Metal Excavated Goods Industry, Construction, Information and Communication, Warehousing and Services Transportation Support, Post and Courier, Coal and Lignite Mining, Other Financial Services, Chemical Industry, Pharmacy, and Traditional Medicine. The results of the study show that elite voters choose because of the factors of position, education, work, and religion. It is the sociological approach that voters tend to use. This is due to the fact that voters base their decision on the candidate's figure more than anything else. factors of the community determine their political choices, especially on the religious side. They are more likely to choose based on the similarity of their religion. Voters tend to see the figure of the candidate as being given a gift, even though it may be in the form of money or goods, which is not enough to influence someone's decision to make a choice.
