Method: A Design Thinking mindset questionnaire was given to 197 participants before and after this model was applied. A t-test was used to analyze the data. Findings: the DTIC model fostered students' mindsets such as empathy, holistic view, problem refraining, and teamwork. Students showed very positive feedback and reviews on the model. Implications to Research and Practice: DITC can assist students in grasping Design Thinking concepts, allowing them to understand real-world problems more effectively. This model can be used to support teamwork and problem-solving skills for online learning environments, especially during the Covid19 pandemic. We also included some suggestions for incorporating Design Thinking into the classroom so that this model can be applied more widely. (C) 2021 Ani Publishing Ltd. Method: The researcher used the cross-sectional research design. The data was collected through a survey with the help of a well-developed questionnaire. Respondents were the employees of university of Johannesburg South Africa selected through a simple random sampling technique. A framework of hypotheses was prepared to establish the relationships between the variables Creativity, Efficiency, Performance and Innovation. SEM-PLS was used for the analysis of data. Findings: We conclude by examining how these educational innovations creativity have been able the assist the Universities in mitigating the adverse effects of what could have resulted in the loss of a significant part of the 2020 academic year. Educational creativity and innovation significantly improve the Universities' performance by enhancing the efficiency of the employees. Implications for Research and Practice: It is recommended that the foundation laid through these innovations should be built upon in the future to provide a platform for new normal' in teaching and learning in South African Universities particularly as the Higher Educational Institutions are being enabled to accommodate the disruptions in teaching and learning process due to any troublesome situation. This study aimed to determine the effect of professional development, innovative work and work commitment on quality of teacher learning among elementary school teachers in Indonesia. Method The research sample comprised of 100 teachers of elementary schools sampled with the help of the Slovin formula. Structured questionnaires were used to collect data. Data analysis was carried out by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the SmartPLS tool. Both measurement and structural models were calculated to understand the relationships between the variables of the study. Findings: The results of this study indicate that professional development had a significant positive effect on teachers' work commitment, and that work commitment affects the quality of teacher learning. It was further found that innovative work also affected the quality of learning. Implications for Research and Practice: It has been asserted in this study that professional development of teacher by improving work commitment and innovative work improved the quality of education and produced competitive quality human resources. This shows teachers and educational institutions can plan their strategies by taking the benefit of these findings. By making use of innovation, teachers can devise various learning models to help students achieve their learning goals.","PeriodicalId":46491,"journal":{"name":"Eurasian Journal of Educational Research","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42466398","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aims to investigate students’ metacognitive awareness failures about solving absolute value problems in Mathematics Education. Methodology : It is qualitative research with 38 subjects of the fifth-semester students of Mathematics Education at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The materials included designing a Metacognitive Awareness Scale, a math assignment sheet related to the absolute value problem and a semi- structured interview sheet. Findings : It was found that there was a significant failure, and 3 students were sampled from who had experienced different metacognitive awareness failures in solving absolute value problems. The study also proved students’ inability to be aware of mistakes in determining problems, algebraic process, and their inability to know that what they carried out was wrong. Implications for Research and Practice : This research has implications for teachers, lecturers, and students to utilize the findings of the study in understanding students’ metacognitive awareness failures in solving mathematical problems, especially in working on absolute value problems. This is also a reference for teachers on how to teach absolute value problems so that students do not experience metacognitive awareness failure when solving problems.","PeriodicalId":46491,"journal":{"name":"Eurasian Journal of Educational Research","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43710717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They encountered unexpected challenges. This research study aimed to survey the opinions of ELT teachers in UTASA to cope up with such an unanticipated mode of study. The specific objective of this study was to investigate the attitudes and practices of ELT Teachers in UTASA towards professional development during emergency situations like the COVID-19. Research Methods: This study adopted a quantitative research design to reach the intended population in the University of Technology and Applied Sciences- Al- Musanna, Oman (UTASA). A questionnaire tool, Attitude and Practices Scale for Professional Development, was prepared for this study to elicit information about participants' attitudes and practices of towards professional development for online learning. Findings: The results of the study found no remarkable consistency in the surveyed teachers' thoughts and reflections regarding their attitudes. While some opted for more CPD opportunities, others believed that significant administrative challenges- including time and workload- were the hindrance. Implications for Research and Practice: The abrupt shift to online teaching showed that teachers in UTASA needed professional development as a few teachers faced challenges to cope with such changes. The continuous professional development (CPD) therefore would therefore benefit ELT teachers in such abrupt transitions of the teaching mode. CPD courses would also open new horizons for the ELT teachers and take them a step ahead of merely learning about teaching methodology. (C) 2021 Ani Publishing Ltd.
