Sleep perception was assessed with the five-item Richards-Campbell Sleep Questionnaire (RCSQ). Sociodemographic and clinical variables were collected. A self-developed questionnaire with 9 questions addressing the main factors mentioned in the literature that influence sleep was utilized. Descriptive and inferential statistics were performed, being considered statistically significant p&lt;<!--> <!-->0,05.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>The sleep of 75 patients was studied, for 146 nights.</div><div>The sleep perception was rated as fair, with moderate ease in falling asleep, average awakenings, and moderate ease in returning to sleep. The mean RCSQ score was 60.22 (SD: 24.81).</div><div>It was observed that concern (p&lt;<!--> <!-->0.001), noise (p<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.016), pain (p<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.008), discomfort (p<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.001), ambient light (p<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.026), and the presence of nearby patients (p<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.027) significantly influenced in the sleep.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>Patients’ perception of night sleep was fair. It is essential that the system used is valid, reliable and easy to use. The TRIPED-GM system is a five-level classification system exclusively for pediatric age, which includes 6<!--> <!-->steps, 3<!--> <!-->of which are mandatory (PAT, guiding sign/symptom, and priority rectifiers).</div></div><div><h3>Objective</h3><div>To determine the reproducibility of the TRIPED-GM system when used on patients evaluated consecutively by 2<!--> <!-->nurses.</div></div><div><h3>Method</h3><div>Observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study involving 237 patients under 16 years of age who attended a third-level pediatric emergency service. Reliability was measured using kappa (κ), lineal kappa (κp), and quadratic kappa (κp<sup>2</sup>) índices, which compared the priority assigned by 2<!--> <!-->research nurses and 16 paediatric emergency nurses with over a year of experience in triage. Patients were classified consecutively and blindly.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>There was agreement in 221 (93.2%) patients. The overall concordance was: κ<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.84 (95%CI: 0.77-0.91), κp<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.85 (95%CI: 0.78-0.92), κp<sup>2</sup> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.85 (95%CI: 0.78-0.92). There were no differences in the assignment of more than one priority level in any patient. Concordance in the mandatory steps was: Pediatric Assessment Triangle: κ<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.82 (95%CI: 0.68-0.96), Main reason for consultation: κ<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.76 (95%CI: 0.62-0.89), Rectifiers: κ<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.94 (95%CI: 0.88-1). The study setting was hospital care, with a population focused on nursing staff and a sample of 12 expert nurses who are teachers or have clinical experience in quality and patient safety. Design and content validity test based on three phases: identification of primary methods, calculation of methods, comparison of similarities and differences of methods.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>Lawsche, Tristan-López, Lynn, Polit et al. methods are similar. The modified kappa value is similar to the content validity index (I-CVI) value, with a slight variation when penalizing the value by probability according to chance. There are significant differences between all methods and Hernández Nieto's content validity coefficient (CVC).</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>The Polit et al. method is more rigorous, and its mathematical formulation is better justified, providing solidity to clinical nursing research. A reference panel, composed of professionals and stakeholders involved in Rare Diseases, contributed to the development of the research question and the design of the search strategy, which was conducted in Medline, CINAHL, CUIDEN, and grey literature. Data were extracted and analyzed by the researchers, then refined and validated by an expert panel. After data analysis, Context-Mechanism-Outcome configurations (CMOs) were developed, considering the outcomes as nurses’ competencies in the care of patients with Rare Diseases.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>A total of 1294 documents were identified, of which 25 were selected. Eight Context-Mechanism-Outcome (CMO) configurations were constructed and grouped into three levels: macro (healthcare management policies), meso (associative movement), and micro (related to patients, family, and professionals). Content validation was carried out using a panel of experts and the Delphi technique and subsequent empirical validation in a sample of family caregivers of patients with multimorbidity in home care.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>Phase I: 3 of the 10 items were modified to specify the study population. Phase II: A total of 227 subjects, with a median age of 84 years in patients and 59 years in family caregivers. 78.9% of the caregivers were women. The reliability analysis offered McDonald's omega values of 0.82, with an average inter-item correlation of 0.41. The test–retest reliability offered a value of 0.95. The bifactor structure obtained a good fit: RMSEA of 0.08 (90% CI 0.06–0.11), TLI 0.88, explaining 40.6% of the variance. The instrument showed discriminative capacity between caregivers based on overload (<em>p</em> <!-->&lt;<!--> <!-->0.001).</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>The GAIN scale is a valid and reliable instrument for measuring the gains of family caregivers of people with multimorbidity in home care. This study was conducted with the group that sterile transparent film dressing and the group that tape dressing methods. Data were collected using newborn follow-up forms, the Infiltration Scale and Phlebitis Scale.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups referring to the signs of extravasation, phlebitis, and occlusion in newborns related to the catheter dwell time and catheter-related complications (<em>p</em> <!-->&gt;<!--> <!-->0.05). The scores and signs of infiltration were higher in the tape dressing group (<em>p</em> <!-->&lt;<!--> <!-->0.05).</div></div><div><h3>Conclusion</h3><div>The use of a sterile transparent film dressing reduces tissue infiltration in neonates with peripheral intravenous catheters. To identify associated factors with the recovery of urinary continence.</div></div><div><h3>Methods</h3><div>A quasi-experimental, pre-/post-intervention, without control group study was conducted. Participants were aged 65 and over with a history of urinary incontinence less than one year of current from the Functional Recovery Unit of Guadarrama Hospital throughout a convenience sampling. Patients were on a prompted voiding programme throughout their hospitalisation, individualizing for a voiding diary. Data were collected from October 2019 to March 2020. A descriptive, pre-post intervention, prediction and logistic regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 25 and STATA 15 software. The study was approved by the reference Ethics Committee.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>57 patients were included, 86% of them were female (n<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->49) who were 82.1 age mean (SD<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->9.4). The 56.1% (n<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->32) experienced new-onset mixed urinary incontinence and the mean hospital stay was 40.5 (SD:14.7) days. 35.1% (n<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->20) achieved urinary continence and reduced the number of urine leaks in those patients who remained incontinent upon discharge (p≤0.001). Factors associated with the recovery of urinary continence were functional ability upon discharge (p˂0.001), frequency of the episodes of urinary incontinence on admission (p≤0.001), frequency of toilet use on admission (p≤0.001), lessened hospital stays (p<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->0.041), reduction of the risk of the appearance of pressure wounds (p≤0.001).</div></div><div><h3>Conclusion</h3><div>Prompted voiding has been shown to be effective in restoring urinary continence in more than a third of the patients studied. Having better functional ability and more frequency of toilet use on admission were associated with the programme's success. The data were collected from 494 nurses and midwives between January 18 and April 29, 2022 using a demographic information form, the Spiritual Well-Being Scale, and the Patient Privacy Scale.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>The sample consisted of 494 participants, 422 (85.4%) females and 72 (14.6%) males. The findings revealed that the midwives had significantly higher levels of respect for patient privacy and spiritual well-being than the nurses. Moreover, the participants’ spiritual well-being and respect for patient privacy were positively correlated with age and clinical experience but negatively associated with weekly working hours.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>In light of these findings, increasing midwives’ and nurses’ awareness of spiritual well-being and patient privacy through formal education, in-service training, drama activities, and case analyses can contribute to improving the quality of care.
