Meanwhile, the lyrical discourse, as a segment of mass discourse, marks a specialized communication in poetic literary works, namely in the conversational plane between the giver and the recipient. The most specified element of this literary genre is the lyrical ‘Ich-Form’, which, among other text-building signs, is the most analyzed and discussed one of the 5th poem of Goethe’s lyrical-elegiac work, ‘Römische Elegien’. The study lyrical discourse in the 5th poem of Römische Elegien” presents the composition of the lyrical song in general, built and structured by the multitude of textual components and typical elements of the lyrical song. The organization of all signs in the text is laid out and arranged with precision and deep philosophy, building thus an unprecedented lexical, syntactic, semantic and stylistic unity. As a master of words, thoughts and poetic expressions in the discussed poem, Goethe has realized a source with different directions of linguistic and aesthetic flows, through which the recipient receives a lot of information marked with arrhythmic pulses. This study will be an initiative for analyzing some stylistic issues in the lyrical discourse and its elements in this well-known German poem, as issues that have not been explored yet.","PeriodicalId":45345,"journal":{"name":"Migration Letters","volume":"129 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.7,"publicationDate":"2023-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139343221","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper profoundly analyses how communities in Bali’s urban areas can build resilience amid the COVID-19 crisis through local initiatives. This paper uses reflections from systematic literature reviews that are supported by qualitative in-depth interviews with 20 informants on community resilience in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in Kuta and Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. We found that the urban community can learn from vulnerabilities and risks and then develop initiatives based on local knowledge, culture, or wisdom combined with information provided by the central or local authority. Cases of local initiatives in urban communities show that collective action arises due to social learning. The result is enhanced understanding, knowledge, and strengthened social interaction within the community to support community resilience in facing similar disasters.","PeriodicalId":45345,"journal":{"name":"Migration Letters","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.7,"publicationDate":"2023-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139343224","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is used to assess the interaction between these variables as well as the mediation and moderation effects. Utilizing a sample size of 350 individuals who occupy professional, management, and decision-making roles in Jordanian businesses engaged in international commerce, the research article shows notable and significant positive associations. The results of the path analysis show a strong relationship between global strategic alliances (ISA) and both corporate competitiveness (CC) and technological innovation (TI). This shows that ISA is essential in fostering innovation inside organizations and developing competitive strategies. Additionally, this study looks at the connection between corporate competitiveness (CC) and technical innovation (TI), finding a very strong one. This emphasizes how important technological advancement is in enhancing a company's ability to compete. The model's mediating and moderating effects are the focus of the study's most important findings. The results provide solid support for the mediating role, indicating that the correlations between ISA, TI, and CC are interrelated and have an impact on one another. Furthermore, the findings of this study demonstrate a noteworthy moderation effect, suggesting the existence of external factors that exert an influence on the associations between these variables. This research provides valuable perspectives on the intricacies of global strategic partnerships, technical advancements, and corporate competitiveness within the realm of international business administration in Jordan. This study focuses on a documentary review aimed at addressing the following questions: How is migration research approached in different countries? What is the volume of scientific production on this subject? Within the aforementioned context, the present work encompasses various types of documents published between 2012 and 2022, authored in English, and disseminated through the SCOPUS database.
 To undertake the analysis, a combination of tools such as VOSviewer, Biblioshiny, and Excel was employed. These tools facilitated the identification of clusters, co-occurrence frequencies, and nodes within the network. From the bibliometric analysis of Venezuelan migration, key years of high citation impact stand out, despite a relatively lower output of articles, thereby underscoring the principle of quality over quantity. The leadership of the United States, Colombia, and Venezuela in publications underscores their interest and relevance in this domain. Global scientific cooperation and the Bradford Law reveal patterns of thematic concentration within journals, influenced by prestige and preferences.","PeriodicalId":45345,"journal":{"name":"Migration Letters","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134969636","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this privileged situation was short-lived as Jordan eventually became one of the worst-affected countries globally. This paper examines the dynamics of Jordan's response to COVID-19 through the lens of Blau's theory of exchange and power in social life. It explores the exchange process amongst the government, migrants and the Jordanians, highlighting how the government exerted maximum control over people's movements and gatherings. Despite these efforts, the government failed to meet people's expectations of safety and basic needs, leading to a loss of trust and the spread of misinformation. The inability to maintain control over gatherings and movements resulted in a surge in cases. This analysis underscores the importance of transparency, trust, awareness, and collective efforts in effectively combating pandemics.","PeriodicalId":45345,"journal":{"name":"Migration Letters","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134969639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During this process, the behavior of corporate shareholders has also become an important factor affecting the fulfillment of corporate ESG responsibilities. Based on the data of China's A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2022, this paper studies and analyzes the impact of the controlling shareholder's equity pledge behavior on the performance of corporate ESG responsibilities. The study found that the controlling party's equity pledge behavior inhibits the fulfillment of ESG responsibilities; optimizing the internal control environment and increasing corporate social attention can reduce the negative impact of pledge behavior on the fulfillment of ESG responsibilities to a certain extent; in the analysis of corporate heterogeneity, Equity pledge has less inhibitory effect on state-owned enterprises' performance of ESG responsibilities, and the effect on non-state-owned enterprises is more obvious. Based on this, the research puts forward three dimensions of policy suggestions to improve ownership structure, strengthen internal control and strengthen external supervision, in order to bring effective guidance for standardizing enterprise ESG performance.","PeriodicalId":45345,"journal":{"name":"Migration Letters","volume":"49 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.7,"publicationDate":"2023-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139343194","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
