The generated loading characterizes desired functions of probability distribution and autocorrelation. The proposed numerical procedure uses MATLAB toolboxes and consists of three steps: (a) generation of a sequence of real numbers with the desired autocorrelation function and with any probability distribution function; (b) generation of loading history with the desired probability distribution function; (c) rearrangement of loading history (mentioned in item b) based on a sequence of real numbers with the desired correlation (mentioned in item a).","PeriodicalId":45083,"journal":{"name":"Archive of Mechanical Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135544895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this investigation, unsteady pressure was measured with the use of high frequency pressure transducers mounted on the casing wall of rotor passage. The pressure signals and their frequency characteristics were analyzed during the steady-state processes, before the rotating stall, during the transition from the steady-state process to the rotating stall, and during a stabilized phenomenon of low-frequency rotating stall. As the operating point moves to the unstable region of flow characteristic, an inception of the rotating stall can be observed, which rotates with a speed of about 41.4% of the rotor speed. The results of this study confirm that in the low-speed axial compressor stage operating in a rotating stall regime there appears one stall cell that spreads over to adjacent rotor blade channels. As the flow rate is reduced further, the frequency of the rotating stall decreased to 34.8% of the rotor speed and the number of blade channels with the stall cell increases.","PeriodicalId":45083,"journal":{"name":"Archive of Mechanical Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135544898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The presented control system is simple and inexpensive. It is based on a set of one time used impulse control engines and linear coordinator rotating with controlled object. Engines are mounted around the missile. There are no movable devices on the projectile board. The correcting impulses from rocket engines are perpendicular to main symmetry axis of the flying object and influence directly the centre of gravity of the guided missile. In the paper, authors describe the whole control system of the missile. Particular attention is focused on seeker and control devices. Numerical analysis presents some cases of the missile controlled flights.","PeriodicalId":45083,"journal":{"name":"Archive of Mechanical Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135545077","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Anti-sway control of crane payload can be approached by the active methods, such as feedback control, or passive methods. The feedback control uses the feedback measurement of swing vibration to produce the command sent to a motor. The feedback control shows good effectiveness, but conflict with the actions of the human operator is a challenge of this method. The passive method uses the spring-damper to dissipate energy. The passive method does not cause conflict with the human operator but has limited performance. This paper presents the combination of two methods to overcome the disadvantages of each separate one. The passive method is used to improve the efficiency of the feedback method to avoid conflicts with the human operator. The effectiveness of the combination is simulated in a 2D crane model.","PeriodicalId":45083,"journal":{"name":"Archive of Mechanical Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135584643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the paper is to evaluate the static strength and fatigue strength of acrylic construction materials directly after the process of polymerisation and for aged materials. It has been confirmed that the deformation speed of the tested materials has an evident impact on their mechanical characteristics. With greater deformation speed, a consistent increase in the material elasticity was observed in static compression tests, which was accompanied by a reduction in engineering stresses at the final stage of deformation. The greatest fatigue strength was observed for Vertex. It was by about 33% greater than the strength of Villacryl – the material that has the lowest fatigue properties. The resistance of acrylic polymers to cyclic loading applied with the frequency of 1 Hz may become an indication for the selection of the material to be used in the clinical procedures in which a patient is provided with full dentures.","PeriodicalId":45083,"journal":{"name":"Archive of Mechanical Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2023-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68944839","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As there is no direct method to compare 3D geometries, different model representations (shape signatures) are developed to enable shape description, indexing and clustering. The consequences of drilling parameters like cutting velocity, feed, and weight % of graphene oxide on machining responses, namely surface roughness, thrust force, torque, delamination (In/Out) has been investigated. An integrated approach of a Combined Quality Loss concept, Weighted Principal Component Analysis (WPCA), and Taguchi theory is proposed for the evaluation of drilling efficiency. Response surface methodology was employed for drilling of samples using the titanium aluminum nitride tool. WPCA is used for aggregation of multi-response into a single objective function. Analysis of variance reveals that cutting velocity is the most influential factor trailed by feed and weight % of graphene oxide. The proposed approach predicts the outcomes of the developed model for an optimal set of parameters. It has been validated by a confirmatory test, which shows a satisfactory agreement with the actual data. The lower feed plays a vital role in surface finishing. At lower feed, the development of the defect and cracks are found less with an improved surface finish. The proposed module demonstrates the feasibility of controlling quality and productivity factors.","PeriodicalId":45083,"journal":{"name":"Archive of Mechanical Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135544617","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
