The main objective is to analyze the impact of investment knowledge and minimum investment capital variables on investment interest in the capital market in Pontianak City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of all investors in Pontianak City, totalling 38,014 investors. The research sample consisted of 100 investors who were selected deliberately (Purposive Sampling). The analysis method in this research uses multiple linear regression analysis, classical assumption testing and hypothesis testing. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that the regression equation is Y = 31.980 + 0.398X1 – 0.033X2. The correlation coefficient shows an R-value of 0.245, which shows the weak relationship between investment knowledge and minimum investment capital on investment interest. The coefficient of determination shows an R2 value of 0.060, which means that 6.0% of investment interest can be explained by investment knowledge and minimum investment capital. In comparison, other variables not examined in this research influence the remaining 94.0% of investment interest. The results of the simultaneous Test (F test) show that investment knowledge and minimum investment capital simultaneously influence investment interest. The Partial Test (t-test) results on investment knowledge show that investment knowledge has a partially significant effect on investment interest. For minimum investment capital, it can be concluded that minimum investment capital does not have a significant effect on investment interest.","PeriodicalId":45058,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Science Technology and Sustainable Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136381938","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of hashtags in social movements is an approach to initiate connecting actions. This research aimed to examine the development and interconnectedness of communication through hashtags in social movements. The methodology employed was a literature review following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines across sixty selected journals. The findings of this study indicate that hashtags have become a significant means of communication in various social movements, discussing a wide range of topics and fields. The research from 60 selected journals emphasizes the crucial role of hashtags in modern social movements, enabling communication and expression on social media platforms. Hashtags empower support, protests, and discussions on various social issues, exemplified by trends like #MeTooInceste, encouraging survivors to share traumatic experiences. The study recognizes the internet's dual role in criminology, serving as a space for crimes and supportive communities for victims. Notably, the research highlights decentralized information dissemination, centralized data collection, and hashtag activism's global influence. Despite their limitations, social media platforms facilitate critical conversations and social actions. Ultimately, hashtag activism legitimizes social media, underscoring its vital role in contemporary social movements.","PeriodicalId":45058,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Science Technology and Sustainable Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135112725","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Risk elements for CTS include things like uncomfortable body posture at work, repetitive hand motions, and vibration exposure. Reviewing prior research on the connection between CTS and potential risk factors such worker hand posture, exposure to hand-arm vibrations, and repetitive hand movements is the goal of this study. The research approach involves searching for relevant articles using the terms carpal tunnel syndrome AND (occupational risk factors OR uncomfortable posture OR hand-arm vibrations OR repeated hand movements) in databases like ScienceDirect, PubMed, ResearchGate, and Scopus. The study indicates that Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is related to repetitive hand movements, hand-arm vibrations, and awkward hand posture during work. This research implies the importance of awareness about occupational safety. Additionally, the study suggests that job designs considering repetitive hand movements, vibrations, and incorrect posture can reduce the risk of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Therefore, it is hoped that organizations and workers can collaborate to create a safer, healthier, and more productive work environment.","PeriodicalId":45058,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Science Technology and Sustainable Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135113444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, these targets and the derived efforts have not been accompanied by adequate understanding among the Indonesian populace. This research aims to comprehend and analyze the concept of zero carbon emissions in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative approach with content analysis methodology, the study discovered that one of the causes for this lack of understanding is the ineffective messaging concerning 'zero carbon emissions' in Indonesia. The symbolic constructs created do not align with the intended messages, in line with the recommendations for effective environmental communication concepts, encompassing aspects such as message types, functions, word choices, genres, relevance, and consistency. This research implies an enhancement in public awareness regarding the concept of zero carbon emissions in Indonesia. The outcomes of this study can also provide insights to the government and environmental organizations to formulate more effective policies in communicating the message of 'zero carbon emissions.' By implementing these recommendations, environmental communication regarding the concept of zero carbon emissions in Indonesia can become more effective, motivating individuals to actively participate in efforts to reduce carbon emissions.","PeriodicalId":45058,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Science Technology and Sustainable Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135268403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The strategy often chosen in downsizing is reducing employees, eliminating structure and function to produce efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness. However, a study is needed to elaborate on the concept of downsizing. The purpose of this research is to map the downsizing concept, describe how this strategy is implemented, its dynamics and development, as well as the effectiveness level of downsizing strategy. This research takes the form of a systematic literature review, which involves an assessment based on articles/publications related to downsizing. Downsizing articles are sourced from the Scopus database, and then mapped based on the number of articles per year, authors, countries, affiliations, and sponsors. As a result, the goal of downsizing has not been supported by strong evidence in the field because downsizing and efficiency do not have a strong correlation. Indeed, downsizing results in negative impacts on both organizations and employees. His mistake was to put the strategy of reducing employees and financial efficiency as the main goal. Therefore, downsizing must be part of a paradigmatic organizational change strategy and not merely serve as a short-term strategy.","PeriodicalId":45058,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Science Technology and Sustainable Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136012513","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or PT.KAI at Head Office in Indonesia using IPMA analysis on SmartPLS. This research develops theoretical aspects of understanding digitalization in Indonesia, which consists of supply chain capability variables mediating between digitalization and digital connectivity. Additionally, the study explores the roles of digital culture and technological turbulence as moderators influencing operational performance. Then, there is digital connectivity that will affect operational performance. This study uses a quantitative method with data sources derived from surveys through the distribution of online questionnaires to 48 Employees in the Logistics Department. The data analysis technique used is SEM-PLS and IPMA Analysis using SmartPLS software. Digitalization exhibits the greatest impact on operational performance in the presence of a mediating variable, which is the supply chain capability of PT. As supported by the IPMA analysis, KAI (Persero) at the Head Office indicates that digitalization holds the highest performance value compared to other variables—the management of PT. KAI must focus on digital culture, supply chain capability, and technological turbulence in conjunction with digitalization. This approach is crucial to ensure the company implements the Rapid Apps and maintains operational performance consistently. The study is the first study conducted to analyze the factors that influence operational performance in PT. KAI, so that it can be a reference and additional reference on academic knowledge and managerial aspects.","PeriodicalId":45058,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Science Technology and Sustainable Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135095040","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Innovative approaches to conflict resolution and deterrence mechanisms are of the utmost importance in an era marked by geopolitical tensions and regional conflicts. This study's primary objective is to evaluate the viability and ramifications of providing UN peacekeepers with nuclear capabilities. To accomplish this objective, a multifaceted research strategy was employed. First, a comprehensive literature review was conducted to comprehend the historical context, current challenges, and potential benefits of a UN peacekeeping force armed with nuclear weapons. To assess the legal and ethical implications of such an initiative, an exhaustive analysis of international legal frameworks, disarmament agreements, and pertinent UN resolutions was conducted. The implications of this research are intricate and nuanced. A UN peacekeeping force armed with nuclear weapons could enhance deterrence and facilitate conflict resolution, but it raises significant concerns regarding proliferation risks, sovereignty, and global power dynamics. The discussion section delves into these findings, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach that carefully weighs the pros and cons and the importance of global cooperation in ensuring a secure and peaceful global order. This paper provides policymakers and academics contending with the evolving international security landscape with valuable insights.","PeriodicalId":45058,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Science Technology and Sustainable Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135081330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a year of 2020, saw a notable natural declined in energy resources as a result of Tarakan Field production performance. This faced numerous economic and social challenge, including a responsibility to support holding company commitment to manage energy resilience as well as contribute to SDGs. This research, which incorporates information from literature analysis, in-depth interviews and company reports, shows that Tarakan Field’s CSR implementations were a useful strategy for generating shared value for business, stakeholders, and communities in line with sustainability. It makes an argument for the relationship between CSR implementation and sustainability, as well as the implementation plan and CSV measurement through CSR implementation in Tarakan Field. These concerns are particularly evident in the vague of CSV measurement which made it inefficient for the company to meet its commitment by unintegrated CSR and operation activities in spite of company strategy.","PeriodicalId":45058,"journal":{"name":"World Journal of Science Technology and Sustainable Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135032098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
