Cotard syndrome is a rare neuropsychiatric disorder seen in a variety of neurological and psychological illnesses. The complex course of the neurofibromatosis predisposes the individual towards higher physical and psychiatric morbidity. Here we present a case of Cotard syndrome in a patient with neurofibromatosis. The patient was brought with an alleged history of self-harm and pervasive sadness of mood; a diagnosis of recurrent depressive disorder current episode severe with psychotic features was made. Patient was treated with oral psychotropic agents and responded well to the treatment.","PeriodicalId":44856,"journal":{"name":"Archives of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45792248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Material and methods: We selected IDCP-2 factors that appropriately represented PPD traits according to the HiTOP. We created new items for the Rudeness factor. The participants were 454 Brazilian adults (aged 18-70 years). We administered the following scales: IDCP-PPD, PID-5, and CAT-PD-SV. Results: We found a one higher-order factor structure for the IDCP-PPD. The factors that composed this higher-order factor reflect traits from both HiTOP spectra witch PPD is represented, Thought disorder and Antagonistic externalizing. The expected correlations between IDCP-PPD factors and external measures were observed. Groups comparison indicated people with high levels of pathological traits in the external measures showing higher means in the IDCP-PPD scores in comparison to people with lower means in these measures. Discussion: The factors of the IDCP-PPD demonstrated a good capacity for the assessment of PPD traits. Conclusion: The findings of our study indicate the IDCP-PPD scale as a useful tool for operationalizing HiTOP for clinical practice. Future studies should test our findings in patients with a PPD diagnosis. dimensional models; psychopathology; Cluster A; pathological traits; psychological assessment","PeriodicalId":44856,"journal":{"name":"Archives of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2021-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41473770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this study was to evaluate levels of anxiety and depression in patients with atopic dermatitis (AD), leading behavioral strategies for coping with stress and their correlation with the severity of dermatological symptoms in patients with AD, as well as the determination of psychotherapeutic targets for improving medical and mental health care for patients with AD. Subject or material and methods. 56 patients with atopic dermatitis and 60 healthy individuals in the control group were examined using the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) scale, the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) by C.D. Spielberger, The Coping Strategy Indicator (CSI) by J.H. Amirkhan and projective technique the Sentence Completion Test by Dr. Joseph M. Sacks and Dr. Sidney Levy. Dermatological assessment was performed using The SCORAD Index. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 12 software package. Results. The AD patients significantly more often turned to “Avoidance strategy” rather than healthy subjects. Unlike healthy patients, those with AD used “Seeking social support” and “Problem solving” as coping tech niques considerably less. At the same time the dermatosis severity positively correlated with the “Avoidance strategy”, state-trait anxiety scores and severity of depressive symptoms. In addition, disease duration had a considerable influence on the level of depression, and retrospective treatment success had a positive impact on reduction of depressive symptoms. The AD patients displayed significant difficulties within relations with the opposite sex (36%), with father (29%), guilt (39%) and regrets of untapped opportunities (43%) that required psychotherapeutic correction. antianxiety therapy and of maladaptive behavioral strategies, as relations family,","PeriodicalId":44856,"journal":{"name":"Archives of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2021-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42152056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Affected individuals usually experience discomfort with being able-bodied. This disorder often causes significant distress and decreased quality of life, with patients believing they would be happier living as an amputee, sometimes mutilating themselves. Though very rare, most sufferers fail to complain to clinicians due to the embarrassing nature of their bizarre desire. As a result, the disorder is infrequently studied and lacks standardized diagnostic criteria and formal guidelines for psychotherapy or pharmacotherapy, underscoring the need for investigation and extensive empirical research. This study reviews the current knowledge and management of BIID to encourage recognition by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and the International Classification of Disease (ICD). This study was performed on random sample consisted of 90 doctor and nurses were chosen from three coronavirus quarries in Kuwait. Psychological Immunity, and Psychological Flow scales were developed, validated and used current study. Psychological Immunity and psychological Flow are found to be at high levels. Furthermore, all Psychological Immunity dimensions are found to be predictors of Psychological Flow, especially optimism, and self-confidence which were found as the most important predictors. None of the demographic factors was found to be a significant predictor of the Psychological Immunity and Psychological Flow among health workers. The study suggests to stimulate awareness in health sector associations about the importance of optimism and self-confidence in protecting mental health during difficult situations.","PeriodicalId":44856,"journal":{"name":"Archives of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2021-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44980613","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
