Ez a kísérlet a Petőfi Irodalmi Múzeum Digitális Bölcsészeti Központjának az első stilometriai próbálkozása. A korpusz a Petőfi Irodalmi Múzeum Móricz-különgyűjteményének leveleiből készült digitális tudományos kiadásán alapul, 478 levelet (220 268 szót) tartalmaz. Schoolscape is a reference to the visual and spatial organization of educational spaces, with special emphasis on inscriptions, images and language-related signs inside the classrooms but also in the entrance, foyer, corridors as well as in the curriculum, text books (original or translated) and websites. In the linguistic landscape, languages are used in different ways and they convey different meanings. Inside educational settings, linguistic landscapes have characteristics that are different from public spaces. For example, the degrees of monolingualism and multilingualism are not the same. Further, the production of signs is often less professional because many signs are made by the students. There is a strongly Hungarian sense of identity in the preschool and primary school under study, as revealed not only by Hungarian inscriptions but also by the choice of specific colours and symbols.","PeriodicalId":448446,"journal":{"name":"Acta Universitatis de Carolo Eszterházy Nominatae. It briefly describes an online questionnaire attitude survey conducted in November 2020. In this questionnaire, it was examined whether women and men communicate differently in the discourse-type called chat, in the opinions of informants who filled in the questionnaire. This main research question was addressed by the overall research in several different ways. One focal area was the use of emoticons. In the study I present the results of one task from the questionnaire that asked informants to classify twelve emoticons as feminine, masculine, or neutral without any context. Therefore, classification had to be performed based on the way the emoticons were represented. The twelve emoticons were shown to the informants in a picture attached to the task. According to the results some tendencies can be identified in the visual appearance of emoticons which can imply feminine, masculine, or neutral qualification even without context. But these are only general statements whose contextual validity is shaped by certain factors. For instance, the nature of the relationship between two communicating parties can affect what emoticons are used, regardless of the gender of the parties.","PeriodicalId":448446,"journal":{"name":"Acta Universitatis de Carolo Eszterházy Nominatae. Drawing on but also taking issue with previous interpretations of the song by other linguists, the author highlights the following aspects of the tightly woven lyrics of Magam adom: (i) the demonstration of how Hungarian verbs can act as finite clauses by themselves, expressing highly complex meanings, (ii) the intricate network of phonological, semantic and morphological connections, which lends itself to analysis in Bybee’s morphological theory, and (iii) the interaction of various constructions derived from ad ’give’ that motivate a rich, emotionally ambiguous discursive meaning of the pattern megadom magam.","PeriodicalId":448446,"journal":{"name":"Acta Universitatis de Carolo Eszterházy Nominatae. The study also offers a description of interpretations and ideologies related to these practices. The research is based on questionnaires, individual and focus-group interviews conducted with teachers and students of a university institute training Hungarian teachers. The data reveal that the reciprocal use of V forms is the main strategy to convey respect and distance. They also show that a frequent practice is the non-reciprocal use of pronouns (Ön/Maga/te) and the comb inat i on of l ex i ca l forms encod ing var i ous degrees of social distance. The analysis points out that address practices in this community are shaped by the following factors: the hierarchical, role-dependent nature of the teacher-student relationship, the role of solidarity in joint work activities, and the adaptation of individual address repertoires to the norms of the practice community. The paper demonstrates that the non-reciprocal use of address forms does not indicate a high degree of hierarchy, but rather different ideologies and interpretations of address practices on the part of students and teachers.","PeriodicalId":448446,"journal":{"name":"Acta Universitatis de Carolo Eszterházy Nominatae.
