In the network, temporal relations are embedded in the network by adding feedback connections on the first layer of the network, and wavelet basis function is used as fuzzy membership function. The power conditioning unit of the system comprises a grid-interfacing inverter and a three-port bidirectional converter which connects a fuel cell and supercapacitor to the inverter. The system can operate in both island and grid-connected modes. By taking advantage of the transient storage capability offered by the supercapacitor, the function of reactive power compensation is integrated into the system. Simultaneously, the inverter is operated as a shunt active power filter and, by means of a proposed control strategy, compensates for reactive and harmonic current demanded by local loads. The system is suitable for residential applications and can improve the quality of a weak power grid. The common mode coupling current in the common mode coupling circuit will come into being inside the motor when this style PWM voltage acts on the winding of induction motor. The common mode coupling current component which crossed the motor bearing will give rise to damage to the bearing. This paper gives a measure method for the bearing currents of induction motor, divides the two kinds of bearing currents, conduction mode bearing current and discharge mode bearing current by experiment, analyzes the characteristic of the two kinds of bearing currents and their relation to common mode voltage, common mode current and shaft voltage. The experiment result shows that the conduction mode bearing currents appear chiefly at low motor speeds and is characterized by its occurrences in synchronization with the edges of common mode voltage pulse. Its value is small and the damage to the bearings is negligible. The discharge mode bearing current appears chiefly at high motor speeds. Its occurrences are not necessarily in synchronization with the edges of the common mode voltage pulses. Contrarily, the largest peak current usually occurs sometime during the interval of the highest level of common mode voltage. Its value, contrary to the conduction mode bearing current, is large and it is the main factor caused the bearings to be damaged","PeriodicalId":448315,"journal":{"name":"2006 CES/IEEE 5th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129075890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While such models are established and widely known for different DC-DC converters, rectifiers and inverters, they have not been developed for matrix converters. Therefore, one has to resort to the use of numerical simulation for this purpose. Although numerical simulation is a straightforward approach as long as the power switching devices are properly modeled, it is typically time consuming and requires accurate physical models for the device. In this paper, an analytical approach to characterizing the semiconductor losses of the conventional matrix converter (CMC) and the indirect matrix converter (IMC) is presented. The simple high-frequency inverter treated here can completely achieve stable zero current soft switching (ZCS) commutation for wide output power regulation ranges and load variations under its constant high frequency pulse density modulation (PDM) control scheme. Its transient and steady state operating principle is originally described and discussed for a constant high-frequency PDM control strategy under a stable ZCS operation commutation, together with its output effective power regulation characteristics based on the high frequency PDM strategy. The experimental operating performances of this voltage source SEPP ZCS-PDM series resonant high frequency inverter using IGBTs are illustrated as compared with computer simulation results and experimental ones. Its power losses analysis and actual efficiency are evaluated and discussed on the basis of simulation and experimental results.
