The characteristic vibrations of Ranad pieces were considered by the measurement of frequencies using MATLAB and the results compared with finite element analysis (FEA). Three pieces of Ranad were investigated in this study: lowest tone, middle tone and highest tone. It was found that characteristic vibrations of Ranad pieces were similar to vibration of free-free beam as the simulation results of frequencies corresponded to experimental results from MATLAB. The effects of the geometry and weight of lead pieces used in tuning a Ranad piece were also analyzed. Two shapes of lead weights were considered, i.e. a hemispherical shape and a rectangular shape. The weight of lead attached to Ranad pieces and sound frequencies exhibited an inverse relationship. On the other hand, the lead geometry had insignificant effect on the Ranad piece’s frequency.","PeriodicalId":447560,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130065189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study drew insights from the literature asserting that the information capabilities in an ERP system have a direct impact on supply chain performance. The current study collected data from 234 executives, middle managers, operational managers, and operators working for ten groups belonging to the frozen food industry in Thailand through survey questionnaires. The hypotheses were tested and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the analysis reveal that the information capabilities in an ERP system have an impact on supply chain performance. The results imply that when the information capabilities are identified and used in each department of a company, it allows all departments to extract information capabilities from the ERP system, allowing it to serve as a critical database to support decision making, planning, and effective operations throughout the supply chain.","PeriodicalId":447560,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121917011","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Steryl glucosides may cause clogging in production line and even small amounts of them may also cause low storage stability of biodiesel and plugging in a diesel engine. Therefore, an additional separation step is required to remove these contaminants. Since steryl glucosides have low solubility in many organic solvents, it is difficult to utilize the solid waste generated from the separation. Transformation of steryl glucosides to the form that are more soluble in general organic solvents should increase feasibility of utilization of the solid waste. In this study, hydrolysis of steryl glucosides to free sterols (FS) was investigated using nontoxic organic acid as catalyst. The hydrolysed products obtained from citric, lactic, and acetic acids were identified using a gas chromatograph connected with a mass spectrometer (GC-MS). The amounts of steryl glucosides and free sterols were also measured to compare efficiency of the catalysts. The most suitable catalyst was selected according to conversion of steryl glucoside (XSG), selectivity to free sterols (SFS), and yield of free sterols (YFS). To determine important parameters effecting the steryl glucosides conversion, the reaction test was performed with the selected catalyst at various operating condition.","PeriodicalId":447560,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127856707","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the organizational and the social exchange theory, a positive direct relation is expected between organizational support and expatriate’s cross-cultural adjustment that determine job burnout and job satisfaction.The sample size result was 207 respondents. The sampling technique used to conduct this survey is a purposive sampling method. The questionnaire was distributed among Japanese expatriates in Bangkok. The questionnaire were systematic reviews adopted by former studies.The model has been confirmed that POS has a significant positive effect on CCA at the standardized coefficient 0.627. The higher expatriates perceived organization support, the greater ability to adjust themselves to a new country. POS and CCA have a significant positive effect on JOBS at the standardized coefficient 0.659, and 0.483 respectively. Perceived organization support and cross-cultural adjustment pay a major role to enhance expatriates’ job satisfaction. Conversely, JOBS, CCA, and POS have a significant negative impact on BO at the standardized coefficient -0.557, -0.159, -.0148 respectively. This can conclude that expatriate’s job burnout would be decreased if expatriates perceived they received support from organization, supported them for cross-cultural adjustment, could satisfy with their job. This study benefits to human resource management in a global context to examine whether they can manage expatriate’s well-being when they are working in a host country and to disclose cause-effect of expatriate’s job burnout.","PeriodicalId":447560,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116785479","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The failure of bearing under the machine operation can cause machine breakdown and also loss income. It is important for the industry to regularly check the condition of the machines for any malfunction because it can plan using efficient preventive maintenance. Nowadays, many factories use measuring devices to monitor and predict the machine’s conditions. When machine operates, vibration occurs and vibration pattern may be changed after machine operates for a while. In this study, the non-destructive testing by using vibration signal technique for bearing health monitoring was proposed in order to compare predicted results with various classification methods. In this experiment, bearings 6006z were simulated with six different conditions such as the normal condition of the bearing, the outer race fault, the inner race fault and the bearing fault with polishing grease of grit sizes of 100, 280 and 400, respectively. Vibration signals in time domain of each bearing type were detected by using accelerometer. Vibration signals were recorded into files. The vibration signals were interpreted using time domain and frequency domain techniques and compared precision of predicting bearing defect types using Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). It is found that Artificial Neural Networks gave the best result of predicting bearing defect types with accuracy of 98%","PeriodicalId":447560,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134027859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
