Researchers have begun to look at enhancing the positive aspects of employees’ well-being to act as a counterbalance to employees' negative experiences at work. We first define the concept of positive psychology, which shows a different approach to dealing with the attitude towards employees in organizations. Then we introduce the concept of well-being, especially the aspect in organizations and measurement. We discuss the PERMA model, which is one of the modern models for conceptualizing and measuring well-being. The model proposes five dimensions of well- being, namely: positive emotions (P), engagement (E), relationships (R), meaning (M) and achievement (A). These have been shown to be strongly correlated with various measures of well-being. In our paper, we will present some facts about the PERMA model and break down its dimensions.","PeriodicalId":447088,"journal":{"name":"42nd International Conference on Organizational Science Development","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114073518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mental disorders are associated with the use of medication to treat mental and behavioral disorders. In a retrospective observational study, we analyzed data on the consumption of medications for treating mental and behavioral disorders (anxiolytics, antipsychotics, antidepressants) among all healthcare workers employed in Slovenia from 2015 to 2020. The most prescriptions for mental and behavioral disorders medications were recorded in groups of medical doctors and pharmacists. Most prescriptions were issued for antidepressants during the mentioned period. In the years from 2015 to the end of 2020, the highest number of prescriptions for antidepressants were issued by health technicians, followed by medical doctors and nursing. The prescription of medications for treating mental and behavioral disorders was on the rise from 2015 to 2020. In addition to smart processes for the production of electricity and heat, the change in the relationship between energy producers and consumers is also observed through the framework of innovative blockchain technology. Given that the energy sector is very complex and that there are many actors in the electricity supply chain, it is very difficult to ensure transparent and reliable monitoring of the activities of all participants. Intermediaries are also involved in the energy trading process, whose business engagement contributes to the increase in the price of energy for end users. Blockchain technology has the potential to increase the transparency of monitoring energy flows within the supply chain and to ensure a higher degree of trust between participants in the electricity market. Consequently, this paper provides an overview of the possibilities of applying modern principles of blockchain technology within the business of companies from the energy sector. The paper systematically describes the way in which the blockchain affects the improvement of business performance of energy companies with the aim of solving the most important energy challenges of today, such as doing business in the conditions of the energy crisis and reducing the negative impacts of climate change.","PeriodicalId":447088,"journal":{"name":"42nd International Conference on Organizational Science Development","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125141701","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Family businesses need to be conscious of their various resources and to be able to identify and apply those to maintain competitiveness and to achieve the objectives. The awareness and possession of these resources is not in itself a sufficient basis; an organization-based optimal combination and effective integration are also crucial for success. The aims of the research carried out by the Budapest Business School were to identify and classify the existent and possible resources of Hungarian family business wineries. Furthermore, the research aimed to identify how these resources were integrated into the daily operation. Managing resources in an effective way and integrating them into a strategy is a creative, managerial task requiring metaskills, experience, and tacit knowledge. This qualitative empirical research proves that familiness can facilitate but also complicate the operation of family businesses. The study demonstrates that resource-based theory can explain the performance of family businesses as well as an optimal combination of resources allows to gain competitiveness, but a real competitive advantage is linked to the goal setting of the manager, whose tool is the efficient resource management.","PeriodicalId":447088,"journal":{"name":"42nd International Conference on Organizational Science Development","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131170773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Measurement is a much more exact and precise procedure for which not yet we have the appropriate instrument, unless we use synthetic or composite ones measures of health represented by numerical scales. The approach to measuring health depends on the approach to health. According to the traditional the concept of population health is measured based on how sick people are, how much they use health service and how many die. Today, research efforts are increasingly focused on the direction finding indicators for measuring the global state of health, which include both components i health and disease. We no longerhave someone to assign us tasks and schedules. This is a period when every individual needs to take control over the organisation of their own time, find activities with which to fill their lives and give it a new meaning. A person entering retirement has many options to choose from as there are quite a few organizations offering different kinds of activities. The only challenge is that the data is scattered and therefore you spend a lot of time collecting all the relevant information, especially online. Information is also available directly with the Retiree Associations. The other providers are a bit harder to find. Some of them include the Third Age University and the Mature University within the Faculty of Arts of the University of Maribor, both offering information on their websites. There are also a few Sports associations for a healthy lifestyle and similar. Addressing the challenge of maintaining the physical and mental health of retirees has the potential to benefit the retiree population as well as society as a whole. How can we offer more to a retired person? Maybe one of the suggestions could be to develop a joint platform offering a wide range of possibilities.","PeriodicalId":447088,"journal":{"name":"42nd International Conference on Organizational Science Development","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133998983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the study was to provide research evidence on the use of nature in the design and delivery of curricula and training. The research topic is relevant because student wellbeing is in decline. Student well-being is important for students themselves, but also for the effectiveness of society. The research was conducted using a mixed methods research approach. The qualitative data consisted of reports written by the participants before the course, after two months of the course and after the course. The quantitative data consisted of the results of the Working and Learning Style Analysis carried out on the participants at the beginning and end of the course. There were many positive changes in the physical, social and especially psychological well-being experienced by the participants during the course. The lack of rush gave students time to focus on basic needs, living in the moment, resting and feeling for themselves. Consciously pausing in a restorative environment led to processing stress, anxiety and negative thoughts, which increased the well-being. The course had a boosting effect on positive emotions and self-confidence.","PeriodicalId":447088,"journal":{"name":"42nd International Conference on Organizational Science Development","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133309951","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we study the integrity capacity of managers in the decision-making process based on ethical values. We examined the level of discrepancy between managerial value systems and value systems presented in manager’s decisionmaking strategies. The aim was to establish a model that can provide reliable and relevant data needed to examine possible discrepancies between those two sets of values. The model is used to investigate if the level of discrepancy is in relation to the variables such as Gender, Level of ethical conduct of managers, and Organizational culture. After doing a comparative analysis of data gained from managers and employees, we found that there are discrepancies between managers’ value systems and the value systems presented in their decision-making strategies. We also find that the level of discrepancy is in relation with Gender variable, but also in relation with variables Ethical conduct of managers and Organizational climate. The model is constructed not exclusively for the research purpose, but also can be used as a tool that can provide insight into how consistent managers are in integrating certain values in their immediate working environment.","PeriodicalId":447088,"journal":{"name":"42nd International Conference on Organizational Science Development","volume":"220 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133649410","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
