This floating island, which also keeps changing its position within the lake, is an enigma for visitors. But the fabrication of a floating island was not difficult for the great sage Rishi Parashar, who had mastery over fourteen branches of knowledge, including Astrology, Agriculture, Plant Science, Ayurveda, Geology and Hydrology. Floating islands are routinely created in the Dal lake at Srinagar, and utilized for growing vegetables. The technique of fabricating floating vegetable gardens in Kashmir is age old, and was probably devised by the ancient sages, who were contemporaries of Rishi Parashar. The latter Rishi, besides creating such enigmatic landmarks in the ashrams and places named after him, also named these landmarks cryptically, as hints for future generations. Thus, the name of the floating island is Tehla, which is also the name of the village from where one gains access to the hilly Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar district of Rajasthan. The rocky terrain of Sariska forest provided safe refuge to the Pandavas during the last year of their exile, when they were supposed to stay incognito.","PeriodicalId":446153,"journal":{"name":"Scholars Journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":" 45","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141679593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research paper investigates how undergraduate college teachers in India perceive AI’s role in education and examines the key dimensions such as familiarity, usability, concerns, and challenges. To address this complex issue, researcher adopted a mixed-methods research design, combining both quantitative and qualitative research approaches. Data was collected through a structured online google form survey questionnaire that was administered to the randomly selected 441 sample of undergraduate college teachers in India by stratified random sampling technique from the five different states of the country (West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujrat, & Tripura). Here researcher used the basic descriptive statistics such as mean, median and standard deviations to summarize survey responses. On the other side, inferential statistics, such as ‘Confirmatory Factor Analysis’ and chi-square were used. This mixed approach-based investigation revealed distinct patterns in familiarity, usability, concerns, and challenges among the undergraduate college teachers. Notably, male teachers from private institutions exhibited higher familiarity with AI. On the other side, female teachers and private undergraduate college teachers demonstrated more favourable perceptions of AI’s usability in education. But concerns, especially regarding privacy and security, were more pronounced among female teachers. Challenges were also highlighted, with a shared dissatisfaction among undergraduate college teachers concerning institutional support, while technical support and infrastructure issues loomed large. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) validated positive relationships between familiarity and both usability and concerns, emphasizing the vital role of enhancing AI knowledge to shape perceptions positively and reduce concerns.","PeriodicalId":446153,"journal":{"name":"Scholars Journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":" 15","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141128080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Islamic rituals, given their close association with the enhancement of mental health, merit integration into the comprehensive biopsychosocial model of therapy for psychiatric patients. Objectives: In the present study I aim to investigate the correlation between Islamic rituals and psychological factors. Methods: This is a cross-sectional, observational, survey-based study including 377 individuals. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from a sample in Saudi Arabia. Results: Most respondents were males aged 18–40, half of whom were married, were primarily Saudi nationals residing in the western region, holding university degrees and being employed. Participants who were female, unmarried and had a low monthly income reported high scores in psychological factors. Over the preceding month and most of the time, 28.4% of the individuals reported feeling anxious, 25.2% experienced depressive feelings and 23.3% felt psychological stress. Participants who agreed with persisting in humble prayer, maintaining regular sunnah prayer, consistently reading the Qur’an and engaging in daily remembrance (Azkar) exhibited significantly low scores in psychological factors. Conclusion: Over three-quarters of the surveyed population exhibited psychological factors, and engagement in Islamic religious practices, such as prayer and reading the Qur’an and Azkar, demonstrated a positive impact on these psychological factors. These findings provide valuable insights for psychiatrists, guiding the enhancement of psychiatric management modalities and the promotion of a positive quality of life.","PeriodicalId":446153,"journal":{"name":"Scholars Journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":" 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140389308","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Critics argue that there are two major themes in the novel: economic individualism and religious belief, and more or less believe that making a good fortune and spiritual pursuit are opposite. However, analysis of the protagonist from a single perspective--economics or religion--inevitably leads to contradiction of understanding the character. This paper analyzes Robinson Crusoe from the theoretical perspective of Max Weber’s Protestant ethic and spirit of capitalism, seeking the “elective affinity” of the two. Crusoe is an ambitious adventurer, a diligent laborer and a lonely ascetic, all of which has an elective affinity with the Protestant ethic. Meanwhile, Robinson Crusoe converts to religion to guide his life. His seemingly contradictory behaviors reflects that he is in fact a product of the elective affinity of the economic ideology and the religious consciousness.","PeriodicalId":446153,"journal":{"name":"Scholars Journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":" 43","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140391048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper, therefore, examines the complex syntactic and morphological dynamics of demonstratives in English and Ikwerre languages and the differences and similarities in the use of demonstratives in both languages which may pose problems to the Ikwerre learner of English as a second language. This study uses the contrastive analysis theory and the descriptive grammar theory to guide its analysis of data. This eclectic approach provides a meticulous and exhaustive analysis, examining the distinctive features, elusive variations, and multifaceted usage of demonstratives within the framework of English and Ikwerre grammar. This paper meticulously explores both proximal and distal forms of demonstratives, dissecting their roles as determiners, adjectives, and possessive markers in the linguistic structures of both languages. The findings of this study reveal that similar to English, Ikwerre demonstratives function as determiners, adjectives, and indicators of possession. Notably, the post-head position of Ikwerre determiners, distinct from English, reflects the language's head-first structure, shaping its grammatical features. In the adjectival function, both Ikwerre and English utilize demonstratives in predicative contexts, imparting specific attributes or conditions to nouns. Structural disparities, such as the head-first language structure and the inclusion of a pronominal element in Ikwerre demonstratives, further distinguish their syntactic characteristics. Morphologically, Ikwerre introduces a unique structure for plural nouns, utilizing both pre-head and post-head demonstratives to enhance specificity. This stands in contrast to English's use of a single demonstrative for plural reference. The findings thus, offer invaluable contributions to the overarching realm of cross-","PeriodicalId":446153,"journal":{"name":"Scholars Journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"17 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140265943","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It argues that, the Major National Dialogue that was influenced by bottom-up pressures from national, regional, and international actors in the form of protests and armed confrontations, has not successfully addressed the conflict. While the Government thinks that the Dialogue at the Conference Centre in Yaoundé from 30 September to 4 October 2019 was successful, leaders of opposition parties, civil society activists and separatist groups responses show that it was a big failure and a “non-event” that had nothing to do with their struggle for separation and independence. The study which depended on both the rich primary and secondary sources that exist on post-independence Cameroon, argues that, the failure of both the Swiss-led and Canadian-led peace talks and the inability of the government to cooperate with external parties and separatist leaders has given way to more violence in the regions. The study concludes that, for peace and security to be restored, the government of Cameroon must put aside its interests and reorganize an inclusive, broad-based and transparent National Dialogue without preconditions, especially as the crisis has rendered the entire Anglophone regions ungovernable.","PeriodicalId":446153,"journal":{"name":"Scholars Journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"29 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140418474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
