Land Acquisition for Public Interest Case Study of Toll Road Development in Indonesia 为公共利益征地——印尼收费公路发展案例研究

This research uses a normative juridical method with a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The results of the research show that the procedure of land acquisition for toll road infrastructure for development in the public interest according to Law number 2 of 2012 stipulates that land acquisition is the activity of providing land by giving proper and fair compensation to the entitled party. Procedurally, the Land Procurement in the construction of toll road infrastructure by the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) or BUMN (in this case is Persero) has fulfilled the principle of public interest, in which the development is actually owned by the government, carried out by the government (through SEO Persero), and does not seek profit so that it can be qualified as land acquisition in the public interest. Several land acquisition constraints identified are (1) difficulty in reaching a major compensation agreement, (2) lack of knowledge and awareness of land owners about the social function of land rights, (3) the importance of infrastructure development including toll roads, (4) limited procurement land funds, (5) there is a land ownership dispute. In addition, the solution is (a) a persuasive approach to the community (b) providing an understanding of the valuation system that takes into account the principle of “the highest and the best use”, (c) taking over the process and funding of land acquisition by the government through agencies that require land, and (d) consignment. The theory of feminism is one of them. Though Shakespeare’s Hamlet reflects women and men’s roles in the English Renaissance, he is also a playwright who analyzes, criticizes, and adjusts male-female psychological conflicts. The portrayal of Shakespeare’s female characters that surround them are deemed anti-feminist because of their roles or how they are alluded to in the play-text. Women in Hamlet, Gertrude and Ophelia, are given degraded opinions and roles within the play, which is the source of this misconception. The play is written from a male perspective; therefore, it focuses on the male characters and their experiences rather than considering the perspectives and consequences of women. Modern dwellers are enthusiastically found to be exposed themselves in online social media through different types of digital contents for establishing their socio-situational identity every day. The random practice of sharing digital contents in online social media is not only a matter of technological instigation, but also a stimulation of late modern socio-situational condition in the process of forming identity for its’ users. Undoubtedly, the digital contents have reasonable grounds to be accepted and celebrated by the social media users in terms of their aptness in purpose. Guided by the spirit of modern technological advancement, the digital contents like digital compositions and photographs seem to occupy a huge amount of social media space today. Although the increasing endorsement and adoration of digital contents in the construction of socio-situational identity in online social platforms is alleged to manufacture a generation having less competence and compassion in the use of language in proper order, many scholars find the initiation however facilitating multidimensional avenues in the narration and construction of socio-situational self for the users. The study employed a correlational descriptive research design with quantitative and qualitative paradigms. A sample of 72 respondents out of 155 target population was chosen using a table advanced by Morgan & Kreijcie (1970). Data was garnered utilising questionnaires and interview schedule and analyzed employing Descriptive statistics and Inferential analyses for quantitative data and systematic content analysis was utilised for analyzing qualitative information .The research study findings came up with a significant correlation between democratic style of leadership and performance of teachers, a case of primary schools in Rukungiri district in Uganda. It was therefore concluded that democratic leadership style has a potential to improve performance of teachers than other leadership styles like laissez-faire and autocratic leadership styles. In India, the most serious issue is money of the necessary devices. Cellular data is not available even if gadgets are available. The biggest sticking point for government universities is enticing users to study online classes. For most students, online education has been a hardship due to a complete lack of a smart phone or internet access. Putting the state of Chhattisgarh under scanner, it has been observed that the quality of education in higher educational institutes varies markedly amongst government and private universities. This study analyses the issues and concerns that exacerbate the disparity between private and public institutions and measured quality of higher education. Striking distinguishing features such as classroom infrastructure, teacher quality, extra-curricular programs, and more may be visibly detected. While technology can be advantageous, it can sometimes be constraining, particularly in tribal states like Chhattisgarh, where basic access is limited. Not every student has access to a computer at home or to high-speed internet. Most students are apprehensive about their future as they failed to properly attend even a single online lecture because their parents could not afford the expense, plus streaming technologies appeared to be a significant financial strain. Other challenges beset both students and faculty in this mode of education. After the outbreak of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, although the United States intends to reach an agreement to allow a large amount of Iranian energy to enter the international market to stabilize international energy prices, this may open a gap for sanctions against Russia. Because Russia asked the United States to ensure the normal conduct of its trade with Iran. More importantly, after the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the US policy of trying to isolate Russia has put it in a dilemma in the Iranian nuclear negotiations: if Russia is allowed to participate in the negotiations, it is contrary to the purpose of isolating Russia; if Russia is not allowed to participate in the negotiations, Iran disagrees. To some extent, this has hindered the resumption of Iran’s nuclear negotiations. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has made Iran further realize the decisive role of nuclear deterrence in maintaining national security, so it will be more firm in the maintenance of its own relevant nuclear rights. The long-term trend of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the subsequent long-term trend of fierce confrontation between the United States and Europe and Russia have made Iran feel the improvement of its strategic environment and are even more reluctant to compromise on the nuclear issue. These slum areas are more susceptible to all kinds of physical, social and economic vulnerabilities. In case of any hazardous situation, more damage occurs in these habitats. In Haryana state, the Faridabad has highest concentration of slum population. At present, Faridabad has 64 slums. The growth of industrialization and urbanisation after the post-Independence period has resulted in the development of slums in this city. Therefore, in the present study an effort has been made to study the population characteristics of slum population of the Faridabad city. This research paper also includes a comparison of Faridabad slums to the overall number of slums in Haryana. Findings of the study highlights that the percentage of Scheduled Caste people in slum settlements is greater than on-slum settlements. Yet, in most cases, the traditional forms of education have not been properly integrated into modern education systems in Africa that are based on western or Euro-American conceptualisations of education. For this reason, important cultural values, such as those of the Bukusu community of western Kenya, are fast going into oblivion. The search for a holistic education cannot be realised without giving regard to education in the traditional African communities. The study therefore sought to establish the influence of youth education on content knowledge of teachers in the Bukusu community of Western Kenya. The research tools were interviews and participant observation. The target population was ninety-eight (98), consisting of twenty-four Bukusu Council of elders, five Bukusu community traditional educators, twenty-four leaders of culture council of Bukusu elders, and forty-five Bukusu community traditional circumcisers. Respondents were selected by purposive sampling and snowballing sampling procedures. The sample size was seventy two (72) respondents consisting of twenty Bukusu council of elders, twenty-one leaders of culture council of Bukusu elders, two Bukusu community traditional educators, and twenty-nine Bukusu community traditional circumcisers. Quantitative data was analysed with the help of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) computer program while qualitative data was analysed thematically. Results of data analysis were presented in the form of tables, frequency counts and percentages. The findings of the study showed that most participants who had acquired adequate knowledge in youth education had been exposed to adequate knowledge in Bukusu culture. This implied that youth education is the most critical stage in Bukusu culture. The study adopted a descriptive research design with quantitative and qualitative approaches. A sample of 210 respondents out of 3482 target population were selected using a table developed by Morgan & Kreijcie (1970). Data was collected using questionnaire and interview guide and analyzed using frequencies, percentages(Descriptive statistics) and Pearson linear correlation coefficient (Inferential analysis) for quantitative data and thematic analysis was used for analyzing qualitative data. The study findings established a significant relationship between effective methods of teaching and performance of lecturers, a case of Kampala International University (KIU) in Uganda. Professional development provides avenues for continued learning and growing scientifically. It enhanced lecturers’ capabilities to acquire more knowledge and skills which led to increased use of different teaching strategies and methods. This consequently boosted student’s performance since knowledge and skills were shared. It was therefore concluded that networks with other lecturing programs should be established to enable students listen to advice, support and encouragement for purposes of academic improvement.
