By applying systemic and logical approaches, as well as the decomposition analysis method, the authors classified innovation drivers in the agribusiness sector and projects implementing various digital tools in agriculture. Statistical and other calculations were used to estimate innovation growth rates. However, for far-reaching changes to take place in the gender-based division of work in societies, those policies must be accompanied by a new framework of social values, so that care tasks cease to be associated with families and with women. \u0000This study links work-life balance models in European countries with predominant social values in regard to gender equality in care and employment. The sources of information used are previous studies on work-life balance plus data from the OECD, Eurostat and the European Values Study. The objective of this work is to check the extent to which this claim is bolstered by empirical support. The results reveal that, in effect, the concurrence of public surpluses and current account deficits is associated with private leverage processes and financial crises. Using the REFLEX database, we apply the coarsened exact matching algorithm to construct a balanced sample of women and men with the same academic characteristics (field of study, internships, and academic achievement, among others). The analysis reveals that the academic program characteristics play a relevant role in labor market outcomes as the gender gaps diminish when controlling for academic features. We find that gender differences in hourly wages and access to top wages are smaller in countries with longer paid paternity leaves and larger enrollment rates of children aged 0-3 years in preschools.
