This plant is commonly used as a food coloring and ornamental plants. Butterfly pea has pharmacological potential, among others, as high antioxidants. The antioxidants of the butterfly pea show much higher activity than other flowers. Antioxidants are substances that can prevent the occurrence of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), which is currently increasing in incidence and mortality due to AKI reaching 23.9% in adults and 13.8% in children. Aim of study: This article aims to discuss the potential of butterfly pea extract (Clitoria ternatea) as a preventative for Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). Method: The research method used is the literature search technique on 20 articles from the Google Scholar database. Results and Discussion: The results of the literature search show that the butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea) has antioxidant compounds that have the potential to prevent the occurrence of acute kidney injury (AKI). Butterfly pea extract has the potential to reduce levels of urea, serum creatinine, reduce levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) and increase levels of glutathione, catalase, and superoxide dismutase (SOD). The antioxidant activity of flavonoids and tannins in butterfly pea extract was found to have a nephroprotective effect against exposure to toxic substances. Conclusion: The conclusion from this literature search is that the antioxidant content contained in butterfly pea extract can be a good alternative as a nephroprotector to prevent AKI.","PeriodicalId":444691,"journal":{"name":"CoMPHI Journal: Community Medicine and Public Health of Indonesia Journal","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132941158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When dealing with pediatric patients, the ability to build a relationship of mutualtrust is done with a more open, honest attitude and understanding what they are feeling. Aim of study: This studyaims to see a real picture of the relationships, interactions and interpersonal communication between doctors andpatients in health care. Method: This study uses a qualitative descriptive study where data is obtained throughinterview transcripts, field observation data notes and photo documentation. A total of 7 participants were obtainedthrough a purposive sampling technique on pediatricians who are accustomed to engaging in effective relationships,interactions and communication with pediatric patients, families and introductors. Data were then analyzed usingthe Miles and Huberman method. Results and Discussions: The results of this study indicate 66.67% of parents orfamily members have smoking habits around children and 66.67% smoke when gathering with family. Most parentsor family members have the habit of opening windows as much as 75.76% of people. The results of bivariateanalysis showed that there was no relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of unde r-fivepneumonia (p = 0.732) and there was a relationship between smoking behavior and under-five pneumonia events (p= 0.021). Besides, smoking behavior at home can increase the incidence of pneumonia in toddlers. Conclusions:Therefore it is necessary to increase family awareness so as not to smoke near children.","PeriodicalId":444691,"journal":{"name":"CoMPHI Journal: Community Medicine and Public Health of Indonesia Journal","volume":"2013 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127438599","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Theincidence of gastritis in senior high school students were currently the second highest disease under ISPA. Thecondition of gastritis will indirectly disrupt the learning process and can affect the concentration of learning fromsenior high school students. The most influential determinant factors are behavior and environment. Aim of study:This study was to analyze the determinants of the incidence of gastritis in senior high school students. Method: Thedesign used in this study was observational analytic with cross sectional design. Samples of 148 senior high schoolstudents were selected using the stratified simple random sampling method. The research instrument used aquestionnaire that was distributed directly to selected samples with a nominal data scale. The data obtained werecarried out by the Lambda hypothesis test and logistic regression. Results and Discussion: The results showed thatthe determinants of behavior and environment had a weak influence (r = 0.348) on the incidence of gastritis in highschool students. The logistic regression test results showed that the determinant of behavior has an OR = 5.2 withan influential breakfast habit factor and an environmental factor having an OR = 4.4 with a study load factor thatgives an influence. Conclusion: The conclusion that can be drawn was that the behavioral factors, especially thehabit of not eating breakfast and environmental factors, are related to the burden of studies that affect senior highschool students causing gastritis. These two factors can basically be controlled by increasing promotive efforts forstudents at the senior high school so that gastritis cases can be prevented.","PeriodicalId":444691,"journal":{"name":"CoMPHI Journal: Community Medicine and Public Health of Indonesia Journal","volume":"10 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131451411","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pulmonary function is more objective than clinical symptoms in asthma monitoring. Aim of study: Thepurpose of this study was to determine the effect of illness perception on lung function in outpatient asthmapatients. Method: The design that will be used in this study is the observational method. This research wasconducted in November 2018-January 2019. The independent variable used in this study was Illness perception ,while the dependent variable was lung function by measuring the FEV1 / FVC ratio using data collection techniqueswith a questionnaire to measure respondents' perception of illness and measurement of lung function withspirometry. Data analysis in this study used the chi-square test to determine the effect of illness perception on lungfunction values. This study involved 40 people, consisting of 5 respondents with disorders and 35 without lungfunction disorders. Results and Discussion: Illness perception based on asthma symptoms for symptoms ofshortness of breath affects lung function. Respondent's pain perception about identity, consequences, personalcontrol, treatment control, cyclical timeline, emotion, causal representation is correct, where the respondent knowsthe real symptoms experienced by asthmatics. As for the Illness coherence, and the timeline is still lacking, whererespondents do not know the real cause of asthma, uncontrolled asthma suffered because respondents said theywere doubtful or suddenly their asthma appeared besides that many respondents did not know that asthma would beexperienced for a lifetime. Conclusion: Therefore, in monitoring asthma treatment, we must pay attention to illnessperception because it can also affect the lung function of asthma patients.","PeriodicalId":444691,"journal":{"name":"CoMPHI Journal: Community Medicine and Public Health of Indonesia Journal","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127754973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
