We also examine the participation of different groups—namely, officials (askeri), civilians (reaya), and women—\u0000as cash-waqf founders. We find that women were significant contributors to the waqf sector and that, contrary to a common assumption in the literature, officials’ participation as benefactors\u0000was proportional to that of other groups. Furthermore, we show that the relative shares of social groups as benefactors in the waqf sector f luctuated significantly over time. The paper first explains the structure of the regional competitive system in the Middle East by taking into consideration the role and impact of Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia. Secondly, by focusing on the strategic goals of the regional actors, the paper contextualizes the logic of strategic rationality behind Turkey’s military and political engagements in Syria and Iraq. Finally, the research is addressing Turkey’s strategy for settling the Syrian\u0000crisis. One of the most important threats against Turkey during this period has been the emergence of the YPG, the Syrian offshoot of the PKK terrorist organization, which became the central component of the counter-terrorism policy of the US against ISIS. With the deepening of the crises in Syria and then in Iraq, as well as the failed military coup in Turkey in 2016, the government has changed its strategy and has consolidated itself as one of the most effective players in the Syrian crisis. Bir iletişim biçimi ve popüler medya ürünü olarak sinema, kitlesel ve tecimsel boyutu nedeniyle makro tarih anlatısı üzerinden ilerleyerek hâkim ideolojilerin etkileriyle yapılandırılmış, ancak bağımsız sinemanın yükselişe geçmesiyle birlikte yeni temsil olanakları ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışma, sinema alanyazınında alternatif bir söylem oluşturarak mikro tarih anlatısı kuran Ahtem Seitablayev’in yönetmenliğini üstlendiği Kaytarma (Khaytarma/ Хайтарма) ve Başkasının Duası (Chuzhaya Molitva/ Чужа Молитва) filmleri üzerinden Kırım-Tatar toplumunun popüler medyadaki temsiline odaklanmakta ve toplumun baskın kültürel yapısını eleştirel bir söylemle analiz etmeye çalışmaktadır. For this purpose, the study scrutinizes the collective appeals made by city dwellers to Ottoman courts, employing Charles Tilly’s theory of collective action. By conducting an extensive literature review of the Islamic city paradigm and analyzing court records, this article argues that Ottoman city dwellers possessed urban consciousness and engaged in collective actions for the betterment of their living environment, challenging the belief that such actions were absent in Muslim societies. Studies on this topic so far have neither employed a comprehensive theoretical approach nor have they \u0000considered the place dimension. According to several studies it is understood that Akovalızâde Hatem Efendi has aspects of music as well as poetry, even he wrote an edvâr. But apart from this, there is almost no information, especially about the content of Hatem Edvarı. The aim of the study is to introduce the edvâr of Akovalızâde Hâtem Efendi and its general features to the history of Turkish music theory at least from second sources. One of the areas where interdependence occurs is energy. European Union countries are also ranked among the regions that have to import energy in the world. Although it has to meet this need mainly from Russia and Middle East countries, it is known that the Union is in search of alternative ways. At this point, Azerbaijan has strategic impor-tance, especially in natural gas imports. Along with clarifying the dependence of the EU on Russia, the study mainly focuses on the natural gas needs of the Union and on whether Azerbaijan can be an alternative in natural gas imports. In this epic, it is possible to see the traditions and customs of the Turks, their perceptions of the past, the values they attach importance to, and their cultural and artistic characteristics. Poets, who are of great value for Turkic music history and Turkic folk literature, are also included in the Manas Epic. The leading one among these poets is Irçı Oğul who is one of the prominent characters of the epic. Determining the duties undertaken by Irçı Oğul as a poet is the fundamental aim of this study. In this descriptive study, various variants and publications of the Epic of Manas were used. At the end of the study, it was determined that Irçı Oğul had the duties of making an announcement (herald), journalism, en-tertaining, giving encouragement, praising/praising, lamenting, and saying testaments, and examples of these duties were richly included in the Manas Epic. The armed conflict which recently started on 27th September 2020, re-sulted in the ceasefire agreement signed on 9th December 2020 among the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia and Russian Federation. According to article 7th of the agreement, “Internal displaced persons and refugees are returning to the territory of Nagorno- Karabakh and adjacent districts under the control of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees.” According to UNHCR, refugees will be returned to Nagorno Karabakh and adjacent regions in Azerbaijan territory are ap-proximately 90.000 in number whereas internally displaced persons who are in the same situations are more than 640.000. Although Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees are grouped under the term of Displaced Persons, their protection under the International Law is different from each other.
