Дослідити споживні властивості трикотажного матеріалу, виробленого з вогнестійкої змішаної пряжі на основі вогнетривких метаарамідних волокон у поєднанні з негорючими віскозними.Методика. Для одержання функціональних трикотажних матеріалів, що можуть бути рекомендовані у виробництві термостійкої натільної білизни, реалізовано методи аналізу й синтезу науково-технічної літератури, а також стандартизовані методи дослідження параметрів структури, зміни лінійних розмірів після прання, релаксаційних та розривних характеристик, гігроскопічності, капілярності, паро- та повітропроникності трикотажних полотен.Результати. З використанням вогнестійкої пряжі на основі метаарамідних волокон у поєднанні з негорючими віскозними волокнами розроблено та виготовлено на в’язальному обладнанні 20 класу зразок трикотажного матеріалу. Розроблене трикотажне полотно пропонується для виготовлення термостійкої білизни та підшоломників військовослужбовців екіпажів бойової техніки. З метою визначення відповідності запропонованого трикотажного матеріалу вимогам, що висуваються до текстильних матеріалів зазначеної асортиментної групи, досліджено наступні показники якості: поведінку й витривалість трикотажного матеріалу до дії відкритого полум'я, а також термоусадку за температури 180±5ºС, зміну лінійних розмірів після прання, гігроскопічність, паро- та повітропроникність, капілярність, релаксаційні характеристики, розривні характеристики.Наукова новизна. У ході експериментальних досліджень доведено відповідність споживних характеристик розробленого зразка трикотажного матеріалу для виготовлення термостійкої білизни та підшоломників існуючим нормативним документам. Виявлено, що напрямок дії джерела полум’я впливає на характер горіння текстильного матеріалу. Одержані графічні залежності, що описують зв’язок між видовженням та навантаженням при доведенні проби до розриву. Встановлено характер підняття рідини у ході дослідження капілярності.Практичне значення. Розроблено трикотажний матеріал, що рекомендується для виготовлення білизни термостійкої для військовослужбовців екіпажів бойових машин. Дослідження особливостей мистецтва молдавської чоловічої традиційної сорочки та шляхи її відродження.Методологія. Використані художньо-композиційні методи, аналітичний, морфологічний, тематико-порівняльний аналіз.Результати. У результаті дослідження вивчено праці етнографів та проведено аналіз еволюції та типології молдавської традиційної чоловічої сорочки. Також було проведено аналіз традиційних чоловічих сорочок, створених на прикладі музейних експонатів, а також відповідно до місцевих традицій в організації Șezătoarea Basarabia за 6 років плідної роботи.Наукова новизна полягає в аналізі основних типів молдавських традиційних сорочок, представлено еволюцію крою, а також проведено огляд декоративних технік традиційної вишивки, варіанти композиції орнаментального декору на складових елементах сорочок різного крою. Представлено автентичну термінологію щодо декоративних елементів та знакової символіки орнаменту, а також колірні аспекти, що застосовуються традиційно і в сорочках, створених учасниками організації Șezătoarea Basarabia. Представлено галерею з найбільш виразними експонатами, які допоможуть розкрити суть вивчення.Практичне значення: В останнє десятиліття зростає інтерес до національного одягу, а саме до традиційних сорочок, що, на думку автора, незабаром вимагатиме поглиблених відомостей про цей предмет національного костюма. Вивчення форми, крою, автентичної символіки в орнаментальному декорі, технік виконання традиційної вишивки, палітри кольорів, а також грамотне поєднання елементів національного костюма важливе для сучасного покоління, оскільки розкриває глибину духовного розвитку наших предків. Кікнавелідзе","doi":"10.30857/2706-5898.2022.3.4","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30857/2706-5898.2022.3.4","url":null,"abstract":"Метою статті є пошук шляхів моделювання сучасного молодіжного одягу та можливості формування грузинського етнодизайну, шляхом видозміни та стилізації його елементів на основі вивчення одного з локальних комплексів традиційного грузинського одягу – етнокостюму.Методологія дослідження здебільшого базується на історичних та мистецтвознавчих методах та принципах системного підходу – з використанням методів аналізу, порівняння, синтезу та узагальнення, а також системного аналізу дизайн-проектів, створених шляхом асоціативної модифікації та стилізації елементів грузинської культурної спадщини. Такими методами є: літературно-аналітичний та компаративний (порівняльний) метод творчого першоджерела; наочно-описові методи; метод виміру; системно-структурний аналіз художньо-композиційних елементів, методи аналогії та моделювання.Результати. Виявлено, що локальний комплекс одягу тушетинських жінок – це етнічний костюм, що відрізняється своєю самобутністю, абсолютно не схожий на костюм інших регіонів Грузії. На основі аналізу конструктивно-композиційних особливостей виявлено, що тушетинський етно-костюм може стати джерелом натхнення для сучасних молодіжних моделей та інспірацією цікавих колекцій під час творчої роботи дизайнера з костюмів. Використовуючи асоціативні засоби адаптації тушетинського етнічного костюма до сучасних тенденцій моди, розроблено дизайн-проект молодіжних моделей, який надалі може бути реалізований для широкого кола споживачів у віковій групі 18-30 років.Наукова новизна. На основі систематичного аналізу грузинського локального етнокомплексу виявлено конструктивно-композиційні особливості костюма тушетинського жіночого одягу. Пропонуються підходи до формування етнодизайну на основі грузинських мотивів.Практична значимість. The purpose of this research was to implement a Cradle to Cradle sustainable Apparel Design framework (C2CAD) by creating felted garments made of underexploited natural material (organic domestic wool) and evaluate the acceptability of the product from consumers’ perspectives. The study procedures consist of two main stages – product development and the evaluation of the garments’ acceptability. In the first stage, a C2CAD comprehensive framework was adopted, tested, and validated in four main steps: (a) making felt fabric samples from different types of domestic wool fibers that usually go to waste in Saudi Arabia, (b) experimenting with natural dyes, (c) developing the pattern digitally via computer-aided design (CAD), and (d) felting the final product. The study provides an application of using natural fiber unblended with others to create a sustainable design to increase its recyclability. In the second stage, 157 Saudi female consumers tried on two garments and evaluated them. Consumers found the organic wool to be acceptable for fashion products, with reduced thickness and monochromatic garments being favored characteristics. The results show the suitability of using the unblended organic wool to make women’s garments with variations in color and thickness. This research considers the impact of the pandemic and its effects on the development and long-term survival of the knitwear sector. An anonymous online survey was undertaken among New Zealand's established knitwear manufacturers, with seven taking up the survey. The respondent companies accounted for around half of the total workforce employed in the country's knitwear sector. The data were analysed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. A SWOT analysis was conducted to place the sector in a global context, identifying necessary measures for future strategic planning. The findings revealed that the supply chain has been disrupted, some businesses have stalled, and the cost of obtaining raw materials has skyrocketed. Due to the impact of the pandemic on the tourism industry, revenues have fallen. It delves deeper than fashion’s functional purposes of decoration or physical protection and examines its emergence as an independent tool for creating play culture. This article discusses the four characteristics of play in the context of the digital space—free activity, departure from space–time, pretending, and order—then applies each characteristic based on the marketing strategies of fashion brands and social media culture. These representative topics include the pretending multi-persona, a fashion meme based on social media, voluntary play in a brand platform, and sensory expansion and departure from space–time through brand experience. This article highlights contemporary fashion as a tool for play that also functions to satisfy one’s high-order desires, such as self-expression, with digitalized clothing, having fun and getting extended sensation with a brand in any time or space, and adding a layer of emotion through social interaction in digital space. Therefore, this study was designed to evaluate the accuracy of anthropometric data from scans of both mannequins and human subjects acquired with Occipital’s Structure Sensor scanner as a representation of an entry-level handheld scanner. The dimensional accuracy of the scanner was analyzed using mannequin scans by comparing the difference between the scan-derived measurements and the direct measurements with ISO 20685 criteria. The handheld scanner reduced the length of the legs in scanning, but most of the scanning operations between the neck and crotch levels were conducted accurately. This study then assessed whether the entry-level handheld scanner is suitable for capturing a real human body affected by movements and breathing. The errors found were considered acceptable for the use of garment patternmaking. This study also provided suggestions to reduce errors during scanning and to obtain more accurate human body scans using the Structure Sensor scanner. Across the design field, there have been calls for more fundamental changes to the discipline. One such approach runs under the banner of Transition Design. This paper applies a perspective of Transition Design to fashion design to unpack a series of arenas where change has to happen in fashion design. Using the Transition Design framework, the following text paraphrases levels, systems approaches, and points of concern and translates them to the context of fashion. Realising the competence of the Handloom weaving industry in Sri Lanka within the global fashion industry, this research proposes a new product development approach using the socio-emotional identities of the Handloom artisans. The study takes a practice-led approach following an initial data collection through qualitative research where a purposive sample of twenty-seven Handloom artisans from three provinces in Sri Lanka are interviewed and observed to identify their socio-emotional identities. The study subsequently guides the creation of an un-cut handloom textile developed by the artisans to explore the potential portrayal of the socio-emotional identities of a cross-section of Handloom weavers in Sri Lankan in the final product. This practice-led research chiefly contributes to the Handloom textile sector of Sri Lanka as it provides innovative and unforeseen avenues for new product development and contributes to the existing knowledge of craft-based research. The study affirms the need for acknowledging the Handloom artisans in Sri Lanka and adapting artisan-oriented approaches in future product development. In response, experts argue that our clothing needs to have a longer life. However, not all items of clothing can be used for a long period of time. Children’s clothing, for example, can quickly become obsolete, creating a waste issue. To explore this issue further, we examine the Swedish childrenswear market and how designing for the circular economy can address this market segment’s unique sustainability challenges. Rather than centering on a consumer perspective, we investigate the role of design in supporting the transition to a more circular children’s clothing industry. As a key contribution, this article demonstrates that there are more circular design strategies available than prior research has explicitly mentioned.
