With reference to its proximity spaces, the research proposes a multidisciplinary and transcalar vision in which analytical and quantitative methods of urban design are combined with qualitative assessment methods of technological design to simulate and measure the impacts of interventions in terms of mitigation and adaptation to the effects of climate change. A planning support tool, based on game theory, guides the choice between effective and interdependent solutions for decarbonisation through renewable energy production, ecosystem services and accessibility to essential services.","PeriodicalId":44147,"journal":{"name":"Techne-Journal of Technology for Architecture and Environment","volume":"5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89350622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Synchronising the real building/virtual model allows an augmented environmental experience and new levels of user involvement. It enriches the predictive systems of data-user experience, helping to calibrate the configuration of improvement scenarios in the design/operational phase on well-being objectives, expanding the awareness of the process actors for a new centrality of the decision as an ethical value.","PeriodicalId":44147,"journal":{"name":"Techne-Journal of Technology for Architecture and Environment","volume":"54 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88402597","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considering the temporal variable, the proposal defines criteria that guide the reconversion of buildings in relation to the dynamic needs of the different categories of users and stakeholders who are involved in the decision-making process and, through the hedonic price method, investigates the influence that the qualities attributed to the performance of the building have on the formation of their value, highlighting the perception of value and the acceptance of green performances.","PeriodicalId":44147,"journal":{"name":"Techne-Journal of Technology for Architecture and Environment","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80491548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research focuses on the theme of urban health and the improvement of indoor and outdoor living conditions according to a people-oriented approach. The work was carried out on two fronts: desk research based on urban, health and socio-demographic sources, and a series of field studies. An operational protocol valid in informal contexts, which escape official censuses, was thus elaborated in order to assign objective values of social and housing discomfort, to measure the concept of urban welfare and to identify possible regeneration strategies for the informal habitat.","PeriodicalId":44147,"journal":{"name":"Techne-Journal of Technology for Architecture and Environment","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75327026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Scholars from different backgrounds have recently been emphasising the need to adopt integrated revitalisation policies in this regard, highlighting the role historic fabrics assume in their relationships – past, present and future – with contexts. Investigating the current state of studies on the subject, this paper highlights the instances, methods, purposes and limits of the approaches reserved for “residence” in this scenario, composing their possible critic appraisal.","PeriodicalId":44147,"journal":{"name":"Techne-Journal of Technology for Architecture and Environment","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78859297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
