Tello","doi":"10.22136/EST20181184","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22136/EST20181184","url":null,"abstract":"Esta investigacion tiene como objetivo identificar la eficiencia respecto a la evaluacion de la generacion, difusion e impacto del conocimiento e innovacion en un grupo de 33 paises; utilizando el analisis envolvente de datos en red dinamica (AED). La hipotesis planteada senala que, las instituciones, el capital humano y la infraestructura, generan, la sofisticacion del mercado y empresarial, los cuales generan a su vez: productos del conocimiento y la tecnologia, creacion, impacto y difusion del conocimiento.  Los resultados sugieren que el pais mas eficiente es Irlanda. Data from the years 2004, 2009, and 2014 were extracted from the microdata of the National Survey by Household Sample (PNAD) for the 26 units of the federation and the Federal District. The Probit model is used to calculate the probabilities and the results are analyzed based on the construction of scenarios. The results found distinguish different conditions in terms of quality of employment in relation to levels of education, access to health services, and working conditions. In the econometric estimation, causality relations between the interest rate and the exchange rate are empirically assessed for the cases of Canada, The United States, and Mexico. Furthermore, the role of the exchange rate in the inflation targeting monetary policy framework of the NAFTA economies is dealt with. Using cross-section data corresponding to 2019 municipalities and information about local elections, through an econometric estimation, it is revealed that political competition has a positive relationship with the coverage of public services. However, the effect on local governments differs according to the odds of alternation. The data base was the level of human development comparative performance in Brazilian towns. Also, a logit model with panel data was estimated, aiming at identifying the elements which have some effect on the likelihood of a town to remain or to be inserted in the vicious circle of human underdevelopment over time. The aim was to measure the socioeconomic changes in the country through this index and with the available information. To validate the index, our results were contrasted against the ones by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico, which were very similar. A significant progress during the period 1930-2010 was found, although there are backlogs to address. In Colombia, this situation is focused on children under 5 and people over 65 years old. The research showed a clear link between mortality due to malnutrition and socioeconomic and territorial inequalities.
