Bardziej szczegółowo potraktowano rodzaje bomb, które są lub były intensywnie użytkowane przez siły powietrzne, w tym były wykorzystywane w konfliktach zbrojnych. Uwzględniono także dostępne autorom modele i prototypy bomb przewidziane do wprowadzenia do uzbrojenia w najbliższych latach. Uzyskane w trakcie opracowania publikacji zbiory danych pozwoliły m.in. określić aktualną strategię oraz priorytety walki z przeciwnikiem. Przedstawiono propozycję nowoczesne-go sposobu wykorzystania bomby szybującej do efektywnego (także pod względem ekonomicznym) ataku na przewidywanym polu wal-ki. Optymalnym sposobem urobienia skały jest w tym przypadku wprowadzenie ładunku do otworu strzałowego. Proces wiercenia otworów w po-równaniu do załadunku i detonacji materiału wybuchowego jest najbardziej czasochłonną operacją. Dodatkowo względy techniczne mogą utrudniać lub uniemożliwiać wykonanie otworów strzałowych. Wyeliminowanie proce-su wiercenia poprzez zastosowanie ładunków kumulacyjnych może znacząco wpływać na zwiększenie postępów drążenia. Niniejsza praca ma na celu określenie możliwości wykonywania otworów strzałowych wykorzystując głowice kumulacyjne amunicji przeciw-pancernej. Jach","doi":"10.5604/01.3001.0013.1670","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5604/01.3001.0013.1670","url":null,"abstract":"W artykule zaprezentowano zbadane procesy zbiegania się elementów stożkowej wkładki kumulacyjnej do osi symetrii i podziału na części wewnętrzną wchodzącą do strumienia i zewnętrzną pozostającą w zbitku. Element wkładki miał długość komórki numerycznej i był podzielony na 18 warstw prostopadle do tworzącej wkładki. Pokazano występowanie gradientów prędkości wzdłuż części elementów wkładki tworzących strumień – pierwsze wewnętrzne warstwy elementów wkładki uzyskują maksymalne prędkości. W konsekwencji strumień kumulacyjny ma strukturę warstwo-wą, podobnie jak strumień powstający podczas kumulacji wkładek półsferycznych. Jednorodność osiowa strumienia jest funkcją ziarnistości materiału wkładki, w naszym przypadku rozmiarów komórek numerycznych. Continuous development of present ballistic composite materials enforces the optimisation of existing solutions for ballistic protections in respect to the mass, thickness and costs of material. In times of technological arm race a reduction of armour weight by 5% is a success. It may be achieved by development of new solutions of armour systems applying the newest materials. Ballistic ceramics both enhances the resistance of the armour against armour piercing projectiles and reduces its areal dencity in relation to traditional steel armours due to high mechanical properties, low density, high hardness and dissipation of energy at the mechanism of breaking. The paper illustrates the development of ceramic based armours and the structure of a multilayer ballistic protection, and finally the meaning of its particular layers in fighting the projectile. The principle of operation is based on deployment of real equipment to be used by the trainees whereas the effects of their actions are reflected in a virtual space. The simulator is driven by VBS (Virtual Battle Space) which provides a faithful simulation of terrain and troops operations at various combat scenarios. It is used by many NATO armies in designs of different simulators and trainers. A wide spectrum of animations for terrain, weather, field conditions, types of ordnance, personnel, reaction of objects against different actions, etc., provides a dynamic and realistic battle field. Mechanical properties such as storage modulus (E’), loss modulus (E’’) and tan(δ) were measured using NETZSCH DMA 242C analyzer within temperature range from -120oC to +80oC at 2 K/min of heating rate and frequency of applied force \u0000f = 1 Hz. Relative thermal expansion as well as the Coefficient of Linear Thermal Expansion (CLTE) of H2 sample were determined using NETZSCH DIL 402C dilatometer within temperature range from 30oC to 80oC at 1 K/min of heating/cooling rate. Radomski","doi":"10.5604/01.3001.0012.8311","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5604/01.3001.0012.8311","url":null,"abstract":"The paper presents a lumped parameter mathematical model considering the changes of thermodynamic properties for combustion products of a composite propelling charge, and of a burning cartridge casing or shell as well, when shot with classic guns. In addition a method was proposed for considering not coincidental instants of ignition for particular components of the charge and also for powder grains of each component, and the heat flow into the walls containing the space with combustion products. Some results of numerical computations are shown for 125 mm 2A46 tank gun firing a hard core projectile. Moreover an evaluation of accuracy of the results is given on the basis of experimental data. Maximum pressure and muzzle velocity were basic criteria at the verification of the model.
