Such multicomponent systems consist of functionally identical elements, but the elements differ in their ability to sustain the applied load. Specifically, arrays of pillars are an example of the multicomponent systems. The capability of the array to sustain the applied load depends not only on the strength of the pillars but also on how the load coming from failed pillars is redistributed to the intact ones. We employ a Fiber Bundle Model with load transfer restricted within a rectangular region generated dynamically after each pillar’s destruction. The ability of magnetic nanoparticles and their aggregates to form larger structures or new materials is primarily based on the interactions between individual particles. The article analyzes the behavior of spherical nanoparticles Fe 3 O 4 placed in an aqueous base solution as a result of their mutual interactions, i.e. repulsive (electrostatic forces) and attractive (van der Waals forces and dipolar magnetic forces) for the full range of parameter values. The numerical solutions to the nonlinear pseudo-hyperbolic partial differential equation with nonlocal conditions are presented in this study. This equation is solved using the homotopy analysis technique (HAM) and the variational iteration method (VIM). Both strategies are compared and contrasted in terms of approximate and accurate solutions. The results show that the HAM technique is more appropriate, effective, and close to the exact solution than the VIM method. The aim of the study is to analyze photothermal and photochemical phenomena that occur during photodynamic therapy (PDT). In this type of therapy, under the influence of the laser, reactions take place related to the transformation of triplet oxygen form into its singlet form which is cytotoxic to the tissue. The increases in temperature resulting from the laser-tissue interaction during PDT are not big; however, they can lead to changes in tissue perfusion, which can affect oxygen delivery to the tissue. The proposed model uses optical diffusion equation, Pennes bioheat transfer equation, and reactions equations for PDT.
