Blockchain appropriately meets supply chain using traceable distributed records. We integrate a bibliometric study (869 articles) and a lexicometric study (135 articles) analyzing knowledge paths and communities based on previous research to guide its development. The bibliometrics illustrates the holistic evolution with co-citation analysis: influential researchers and countries, discipline composition, knowledge development trends, and emerging frontiers. The lexicometric identifies the concept structure of epistemic communities with a textual approach. From the knowledge graphs, we found that blockchain traceability research began in 2016 and emerged a surge from 2019. There are three chronological phases: 2016-2017 technological embryonic stage, 2018-2019 emerging establishment stage, 2020-Now ecological optimization stage. Blockchain traceability interconnects with IoT for intelligent tracking. It mainly applies in food and agriculture supply chain nowadays, waiting for further large-scale application in automobile manufacture and carbon emission. Blockchain and supply chain mutually transform as sensemaking theory. Traceability solutions have been popularized in business scenarios.","PeriodicalId":438542,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 6th International Conference on Logistics Operations Management (GOL)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125957033","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Induction charging of electric vehicles is among the effective solutions to overcome several constraints in the pacification, it is a contactless charging technology between the energy source and the vehicle. However, in practice, there are areas where the installation of induction charging technology is impossible, for this reason, in this work we have focused on the two charging modes of electric vehicles; dynamic mode and static mode. We propose a mathematical modeling, which answers the planning problem of charging infrastructure with both modes. i.e. the location of recharging segments and inverters in the road for the dynamic recharging on the one hand and on the other hand recharging stations for the static mode, which ensures the movement of a heterogeneous fleet of vehicles in the network. Our objectives are to minimize the cost of the infrastructure and to get the greatest lifetime of batteries, since the battery is the main unit of each vehicle.","PeriodicalId":438542,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 6th International Conference on Logistics Operations Management (GOL)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130843668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In 2016, a new variant was developed to generalize the p-median problem, called “budget constraint multi-capacitated location problem” (BMCLP). This paper aims to generalize the BMCLP onto the multi-level, a problem that arises in many scopes as telecommunication, freight transportation, etc. Therefore, we proposed a mathematical formulation as mixed integer, called “Multi-level multi-capacitated facility location problem” (MLMCLP) and generated an artificial set of instances in order to validate the new formulation. Finally, we apply the Branch and Cut solving method using the CPLEX solver. The results obtained from the numerical study show the robustness of the proposed formulation.","PeriodicalId":438542,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 6th International Conference on Logistics Operations Management (GOL)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133812137","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We propose a metaheuristic approach to solving the deterministic master surgical schedule (MSS) and the surgical case assignment problem (SCAP). We consider the capacity of the operating rooms (ORs) and the downstream resources, which involve the intensive care unit (ICU) beds and the post-surgery unit beds. The proposed approach considers OT restrictions and various resources availability (surgeons, OR, etc.). We built the MSS using an integer linear programming (ILP) model that minimizes the total assignment cost. Then, we propose an efficient genetic algorithm-based approach to overcome the large computation time generated by solving the SCAP. The patients are selected from the waiting list based on their due dates and clinical priority. Lastly, we propose a fast heuristic to manage the capacity of the downstream resources (ICU and post-surgery units’ beds). The computational experience is based on data provided from the archives of a hospital to compare the metaheuristic approach with the integrated ILP approach. The results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach to solving the MSS and SCAP and the significant improvement obtained in the computation time.","PeriodicalId":438542,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 6th International Conference on Logistics Operations Management (GOL)","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131965774","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We argue that the new generations of vehicles will require ‘agile transport infrastructure management’ methods in the future. A transport infrastructure project is subject to path-dependency due to long lag-time, hefty administrative frameworks and budget voting, and yet it is expected to be agile enough to accomodate new mobility devices. To discuss this duality, we combine the theoretical frameworks of path-dependency, isomorphism, dynamic capabilities and agile project management methods so to discuss the practicality of ‘agile transport infrastructures’. We hereby intend to provide food for thought and paths for the action for transports planners, policy-makers and mobility innovators.","PeriodicalId":438542,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 6th International Conference on Logistics Operations Management (GOL)","volume":"412 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124401369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These tools have usually been developed with a focus on a broad range of logistics applications, including production, assembly, material handling, human resources planning, or external transportation. Generally, these tools do not cover waterway transportation at all. Hence, the available solutions hardly offer any specialized features or functionality for the analysis of inland waterway transportation. The few tools focusing on inland waterway transportation are also not available for purchase. In view of the deeper integration of IWT in global logistics chains and, thus, the rising complexity of operations, DES tools have begun to be used for detailed analyses of various transport-related matters. Due to the lack of appropriate solutions in the market though, the decision-maker can only select between buying an existing generic software solution and adapting it to the specific requirements in order to simulate an inland waterway system or ‘making’ their own solution in the sense of developing a highly specialized proprietary simulation tool designed for the exclusive use in the designated application area. The resulting choice is rarely an easy decision, and the optimal route is often unclear. The process of creating a simulation model for inland waterways is a trade-off between the quality of results and the limit of resource expenditure. Furthermore, the scalability of the simulation needs to be assessed: for generic software, scalability may not be unlimited whereas it may not even be automatically given for a dedicated solution. This work compares generic and dedicated tools of discrete-event simulation for examining a decentralized waterborne container transportation service on the basis of a set of meaningful criteria. Both the simulation results and the model features are part of the comparative analysis. By extracting the benefits of both approaches and drawing a conclusion, this article aims at determining the quality of both approaches in examining a logistics problem. Additionally, their transferability to other similar problems and the usefulness of either approach is considered.","PeriodicalId":438542,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 6th International Conference on Logistics Operations Management (GOL)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115275244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We present the approach used by the airlines for choosing an airport for air cargo operation, step by step: chose of the region of operation, then the economic analysis of the region and of the airports, analysis of possible constraints for operations and individual performances of airport. The interest of airlines for an airport is generated by the growth of the county or of the region, the trade, the foreign investments and the labor market development, all indicators being analyzed in the paper. The diversification of the trade business model, the development of e-commerce has had an important impact on the development of cargo traffic in the world and of course also in CEE. The features of the air cargo transport market have had a great influence on governmental policies for airport cargo capacity development in CEE and in Baltic Countries. In order to provide airports with strategic information for building development strategies, this paper presents a comparative analysis of the evolution and demands of air cargo transport using external and internal benchmarking approach. The target group is represented by capitals’ airports from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania.","PeriodicalId":438542,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 6th International Conference on Logistics Operations Management (GOL)","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126289694","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While this relationship has been an ongoing topic of debate, the links to aspects of supply chain resilience in particular only start to attract increased attention, especially given current disruptions in global supplies. For this reason, this contribution aims to map the potentials that circularity can bear for supply chain resilience from a company-level perspective. Based on a literature analysis, commonalities between circularity and resilience are identified, synthesizing respective supporting and inhibiting factors, both internally and externally. As a result, seven propositions on the potentials of circular economy for supply chain resilience are derived, which are used as a basis in order to develop a conceptual model, depicting the cause-effect relationships within the implications of circular economy for supply chain resilience.","PeriodicalId":438542,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 6th International Conference on Logistics Operations Management (GOL)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116022533","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
