To keep the incorporated models up to date state and parameter estimation is crucial, but only with sufficient excitation adequate estimates are achievable. In recent years, reconfigurable battery systems became more and more prominent in research, whereby switches allow to change the power path reversibly during operation. Within this work, the impact of switching actions of reconfigurable battery systems on state and parameter estimation is investigated. For this purpose, suitable switching patterns and strategies are introduced and their benefit on estimation accuracy is evaluated based on validation experiments. A reconfigurable battery pack consisting of twelve lithium-ion cells in mixed topology is excited by different current profiles whereby varying switching actions are applied. Results show that switching operation significantly improves the estimation accuracy, particularly in cases where the native current excitation is of low dynamics. Furthermore, a suitable threshold for situation-based switching is determined which uses the Goertzel algorithm to assess the current excitation.","PeriodicalId":438265,"journal":{"name":"2022 12th International Conference on Power, Energy and Electrical Engineering (CPEEE)","volume":"361 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122759192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, we focus on the problem that the PFC obtained by the existing method, which simultaneously satisfies the smoothness and arbitrage-free conditions, tends to \"swell\" significantly when the price of electricity futures rises, and the fit deteriorates significantly, and propose a method to mitigate this problem. Specifically, using B-spline basis functions, we solve a constrained least-square-error-based optimization problem instead of minimizing the integral of squared curvature, which has been used in previous studies. The empirical study examines the errors between the realized spot prices and the PFCs using multiple futures products for different observation points, and finds that our method effectively mitigates the \"swell\" problem and is more accurate overall than the previous method. Furthermore, it is shown that the fit of the forward curve can be improved by, for example, incorporating the seasonal trend of the holiday effect to calculate the structural pattern of the PFC, providing useful suggestions for modeling practitioners.","PeriodicalId":438265,"journal":{"name":"2022 12th International Conference on Power, Energy and Electrical Engineering (CPEEE)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128698302","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ADN is the intermediate link between transmission grid (TG) and microgrid (MG), based on the correlation and interaction between TG, ADN and MG, a unit commitment (UC) decision-making model of the synergestic TG-ADN-MG power system is proposed in this paper, based on the meticulous modeling of TG-ADN-MG scheduling, by introducing the analytical target cascading (ATC) algorithm, the power system at three layers are taken as different stakeholders, through the tie-line exchange power equivalent to the virtual generator and virtual load to achieve decoupled model, and synergetic source-network-load schedule of a complex system is realized. In addition, due to the increasing popularity of renewable energy (RE) in the electrical system (ES), the security of natural gas networks is under more risk. With the increasingly introduction to serve as storage in the form of fuels, power-to-gas (PtG) has been regarded as an excellent consumer of RE. However, its load adjustment function is still uncovered. To explore the potential of power-to-gas, a two-stage robust energy dispatch model is proposed in this paper, which takes into account the peak shaving effect of power-to-gas in both ES and natural gas network (NGN). Moreover, an improved Benders decomposition methodology introducing virtual constraints is proposed to give the optimization. In the case study, the deterministic and robust scenarios are compared. Finally, the peak shaving effect of PtG on the demand of IES is proved by the operation strategy, and the operation cost reduction is validated through the growth of unit utilization. The results show that the cost increases by 9.83% under the bad fluctuation scenario comparing to the deterministic scenario, and the utilization rate of PtG increases by 43.41%.","PeriodicalId":438265,"journal":{"name":"2022 12th International Conference on Power, Energy and Electrical Engineering (CPEEE)","volume":"105 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131315765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

VGs are essentially small fins that are installed toward the root of the wind turbine blade to reduce airflow separation. Separation flow on the wind turbine blade suction surface were captured by the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) steady flow simulation using general-purpose code, ANSYS CFX. Based on CFD, AEP calculation was performed through PROPID. VG attachment location tracking and actual attachment were performed through laser tracking, and attachment was performed within an error range of 4×10-4. Data during 2 months with and without VG attachment were analyzed. It has been validated that VG has a play of role to enhance significant aerodynamic performance. AEP calculated by PROPID predicted an increase of 0.81% total, while the measured AEP increases by 1.02% total.
