Analysis of the Impact of the Livestock Facility Modernization Policy on the Management Performance of Hanwoo Farms 畜禽设施现代化政策对韩宇农场经营绩效的影响分析

Two estimation techniques were used to estimate the average treatment effect of the policy based on the propensity score of Hanwoo farms. One is a matching (1:1) method and the other is an inverse weighting method. The average treatment effect of the policy estimated by the two methods was found to be almost similar, although there were differences in the size of the estimated coefficients and the degree of statistical significance. In both estimation results, it was found that the policy had statistically significant effects on the improvement of fattening performance, the reduction of labor force, and the reduction of quarantine and treatment costs. Specifically, the appearance rate of meat quality grade 1 or higher and the appearance rate of meat quantity grade A or B increased by 10.13~10.88%p and 9.77~11.59%p, respectively. In addition, the weekly working hours per person decreased by 4.76~7.08 hours and the number of workers per head decreased by 0.007. This article uses data collected from online survey targeting a national sample of women aged 20~30s who have been recognized as the primary consumers to elicit preferences for multiple attributes related in fruit flavored beer. We use choice experiment questions and correspondence analysis methods to show that distinctive segments of the beer market. Utilizing willningess to pay estimates from the mixed logit model, we find that female beer buyers are willingness to pay more for imported fruit flavored beer and preferences for flavors and tastes are widely distributed among young women beer drinkers. We also find that fruit flavored beers have their own characteristics inherent in the minds of consumers. While previous studies treat breeding heads of Hanwoo in terms of supply function, this study differs in the way that it develops a model for breeding heads that incorporate both supply and demand sides. The number of cattle raised is forecasted using the estimates of slaughtered heads, the estimates of breeding cattle under one year of age, and the actual number of breeding cattle in the previous period. Therefore, when analyzing the labor linkage structure of agriculture and other industries, it is necessary to analyze not only agricultural employment but also unpaid workers. This is because the effects of employment changes in other industries on agricultural unpaid workers and agricultural employment are different. This study proposed the Employment Self-employed Multiplier, a methodology that can evaluate the effect of employment changes in other industries on changes in unpaid workers in agriculture.
