It was declared a pandemic in Malaysia and the government implemented the Movement Control Order (MCO), which prohibited all types of travel and Malaysia’s artisanal fishers are suffering net losses. Marine fisheries supply chain in Malaysia, The marine fisheries supply chain in Malaysia, challenges that they face are not as severe as those faced by other countries. Most fishing areas are either in rural areas and the only things that have improved are after COVID-19, when they implemented technologies. To implement such changes, the behaviour of Malaysian society and fishermen needs to be considered where the acceptance behavioural should be observesobserved. This research implemented DXAM (Digital Transformation Acceptance Model) by distributed questionnaire to 100 respondents and analysed the result using SmartPLS4. Results show that the most of the hypotheses research models were accepted and exemplifies exemplify the significance of path analysis. It shows the behaviour toward these changes is accepted where research and in-depth study are required. This study aims an improvement on Malaysia's distribution path on marine fisheries according to supply chain risk through DX. This study was analyzed using the Logistics Performance Index distributed by the World Bank. Malmquist productivity analysis was performed using “Logistics quality and competence” and “Infrastructure” as input factors and “overall LPI score” as an output factor. As a result, it was confirmed that the trend of productivity changes in OECD countries was very similar to that of the technology change index. And it was confirmed that countries in Asia, Europe, Oceania, and South America had similar trends in productivity changes, but countries in North America had similar trends in efficiency changes. In addition, we analyzed how risk factors were affected by productivity changes by performing Tobit regression analysis, As a result, international shipments factor had a negative effect and timeliness factor had a positive effect.","PeriodicalId":436415,"journal":{"name":"Korean Production and Operations Management Society","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125217885","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such negative effects could prevent companies from achieving their goals. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the risk and implement appropriate risk management strategies based on the impact factors of the risk. This study analyzed the impact of supply chain risks on the domestic automobile production network and maritime car carrier market. We quantified supply chain risks that arise in domestic automobile production processes and employed the vector auto regression models to analyze the effects of these risks on the automobile supply chain and pure car carrier market. In addition, using impact reaction function, we analyzed the process through which the risk in the supply chain extends to automobile production and pure car carrier market. It is expected that this study will help set long-term and short-term targets for production plans and demarcate corporate strategies through effective response to market conditions.","PeriodicalId":436415,"journal":{"name":"Korean Production and Operations Management Society","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114607829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Analytic Hierarchy Process was incorporated to evaluate each risk factor’s importance and to yield the weighted risk level of the individual risk factor and the overall risk level. The interpretation of the results of the hybrid approach is straightforward. This feature enables port risk managers to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the ports regarding each risk factor, upper-level risk factors, and overall risk. This offers the necessary insight to determine which areas require special attention for risk mitigation. Consequently, the results obtained by the risk evaluation model are expected to be used by port risk managers as diagnostic instruments to mitigate port risk or to improve risk management practices.","PeriodicalId":436415,"journal":{"name":"Korean Production and Operations Management Society","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116439290","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We suggest heuristic algorithms for the problem to minimize the total flow time of a given set of orders. Each order is composed of multiple lots and is processed on any parallel machines at each stage. This shop has reentrant flows since products for specific orders should visit the processing stages twice. We suggest algorithms of two types. The algorithms of the first type are three-phase algorithms, and the second type's algorithm is one-phase. In the first phase of three-phase algorithms, an initial sequence is obtained using priority dispatching rules, and then a construction algorithm is used to obtain sequences for each stage in the second phase. Finally, in the third phase, lots that visit the stages for the second time are scheduled using priority dispatching rules. Computational experiments are performed on randomly generated test problems to evaluate the performance of the suggested algorithms. Results show that the order-based algorithms perform better than the lot-based algorithms and an algorithm used in practice.","PeriodicalId":436415,"journal":{"name":"Korean Production and Operations Management Society","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126668092","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Previous studies have conducted supply network risk research from various perspectives, particularly due to the severity of supply disruption to buying firms. While the existing studies have identified those suppliers based on centrality measures of their positions in the supply network mostly from the social network perspective, there was also a limitation in quantitatively assessing the suppliers’ disruption risk in the network. Therefore, this study intended to theoretically expand and develop the study on the supply network risk from the existing social network perspective by applying the Bayesian network analysis. So we used the Bayesian network analysis to quantitatively assess the suppliers’ disruption risk in the supply network and measure their risk impact on the focal firm. Through it, we identified the network properties of the critical suppliers that the focal firm should pay attention to for its effective supply network risk management and suggested related insights.","PeriodicalId":436415,"journal":{"name":"Korean Production and Operations Management Society","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126934245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through literature review and case analyses, the performance factors of early morning delivery services are derived in terms of product and service. The performance factors in the product aspect are product excellence, price efficiency, and product diversity, and the service aspect performance factors are after-sales service, product packaging, the company's eco-friendly image, and the company's social contribution image. Based on the consumer survey, we conducted an AHP analysis to analyze the importance, weight, and priorities of early morning delivery service performance factors. The analysis found that maintaining and improving the basic production factors is more important than improving the service factors. Through gender analysis, we reveal that women, the main consumers, consider affordable prices more important than high-quality products. In addition, customers under the age of thirty, who will be major future customers, consider improving after-sales service as the most crucial factor in choosing an early-morning delivery company. Therefore, it is necessary to have a fast and convenient after-sales service process.","PeriodicalId":436415,"journal":{"name":"Korean Production and Operations Management Society","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114988634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, when the supply network is defined as a complex adaptive system that is a dynamic process, it is particularly important to explore its structure and evolution. Therefore, this study empirically analyzed how and through which micro-mechanisms the traditional vertical structure of the Korean automotive industry supply network is evolving into a horizontal structure. The results confirmed that new firms were continuously entering the Korean automotive industry supply network, and transaction relationships that were not found in the traditional supply chain structure were increasing. Additionally, among the existing suppliers, high-performing suppliers continued to form new transaction relationships while maintaining existing relationships. The significance of this study is as follows. SAOM was applied to the supply network of the Korean automotive industry for the first time, and the existing vertical and linear relationship studies were expanded from a network perspective. Furthermore, unlike the existing supply network-related studies, which were limited to an analysis at a specific point in time, the dynamic evolution of the supply network was identified.","PeriodicalId":436415,"journal":{"name":"Korean Production and Operations Management Society","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132099621","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mixed integer programming model is developed to solve this issue. Since this research problem is similar to the travelling salesman problem (TSP), it is considered an NP-hard (non-deterministic polynomial-time hard) problem. Hence, the time to find the optimal solution increases exponentially as the number of orders increases. To deal with this complexity, we develop three types of heuristic algorithms that can be used to solve real-world problems. We analyze train accidents that occurred in European countries between 1980 and 2014. The findings indicate that the adoption of IT leads to a lower number of accidents, thus improving safety. Specifically, countries with a high level of IT adoption for their track networks show fewer serious accidents than those with low IT adoption. However, serious accidents have not decreased over time, indicating a limited positive effect of IT adoption. In addition, serious accidents such as rolling stocks and people at crossings continue to occur. The results indicate that improvement in transportation safety leveraged by intangible IT must accompany the quality assurance of physical systems and activities in basic transportation services.","PeriodicalId":436415,"journal":{"name":"Korean Production and Operations Management Society","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125745223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
