I-V characteristics have been measured at various fixed temperatures. An ohmic behaviour is observed at low electric fields upto 102V/cm. Superohmic behaviour is observed at high electric fields (103 -104 V/cm).High field conduction theory of space charge limited conduction for uniform distribution of localised states in the mobility gap fits well with the experimental data.Using this theory, the density of defect states near Fermi level is calculated for all glassy alloys.","PeriodicalId":43605,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Optoelectronic and Biomedical Materials","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45495060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The crystal structure, compositions and surface morphology of the synthesized nanoparticles are characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and UV-visible absorbance spectroscopy (UV). The photocatalytic efficiency of as synthesized samples is evaluated by degradation of aqueous solution of dyes from different classes under the pH = 4, 6, 8 in presence of UV light. Comparatively, Gd-Bi2O3 exhibits significant degradation of dye stuffs than bare Bi2O3. In our present study, the factors which are emphasis the photocatalytic activity of Gd-Bi2O3 and possible mechanism for photocatalytic degradation also narrated briefly.","PeriodicalId":43605,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Optoelectronic and Biomedical Materials","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48712496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To synthesis such nanoparticles, green synthesis is one of the most popular methods. In these green synthesis procedures, the plant extracts can be added to control the growth and particle size. In this present work, ZnO nanoflakes are synthesized in a cost-effective green synthsis method using pandamus tecctorius leaf extract. The structure and morphology of as synthesized ZnO nanoflakes have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman Spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), photoluminescence (PL) spectrophotometry and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The SEM and TEM images reveal the formation of ZnO nanoflakes. The hexagonal wurtzite structure has been predicted from XRD results. Strong blue absorption and the enhanced luminescence property with respect to bulk have been observed from PL studies.","PeriodicalId":43605,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Optoelectronic and Biomedical Materials","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47120791","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These polymer electrolyte systems have been characterized using a variety of experimental approaches, including temperature-dependent conductivity and DSC. The endothermic peak at 59.42°C, which corresponds to the melting temperature of pure PEG, is revealed by DSC measurements. Due to the addition of salt to the polymer, a minor movement in the melting point, Tm, towards lower temperatures has been detected. At 30°C, the 80PEG+20CH3COONa electrolyte system had a maximum conductivity of 7.9 × 10-6 S/cm. When compared to pure PEG, the conductivity enhanced by two orders of magnitude. The magnitude of conductivity increased as the temperature raised.","PeriodicalId":43605,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Optoelectronic and Biomedical Materials","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47255735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The samples were examined using a variety of techniques, including field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), absorption and transmission spectra, and Fourier transformation infrared (FTIR). Crystallography information revealed the presence of TiO2 doesn’t effect in the crystal structure of PVA-Fe2O3. The manufactured composites demonstration strong absorption in the range of 440–570 nm. It is important that the highest absorption of these composites gradually shifted to the shorter wavelength region with presence of TiO2. PVA-Fe2O3 is highly transparent with transmittance of around 85 % in range 600-800 nm. After addition of 2.5 % by weight of TiO2 nanoparticles, the transmittance of nanocomposite drops to 75% in the same range of wavelength . Further addition of nanoparticles reduced the percentage transmittance to 68%. The results specify that as the TiO2 ratio increases, the band gap be wider.","PeriodicalId":43605,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Optoelectronic and Biomedical Materials","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46338968","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, citrate reduction has been employed to fabricate silver colloidal nanoparticles with 12 nm. The plasmon resonance spectra of nanoscopic silver particles adsorbed onto transparent electrodes in contact with various electrolyte solutions and concentrations of NaC1O4, KPF6, and NaCl were studied. Potentials were controlled with a galvanostat, and UV/visible spectrophotometer was employed to obtain the optical spectra. The results showed the electrolyte identity, potential-induced redshifts, and damping is most pronounced for NaCl, whereas spectral changes are weaker in the cases of NaC1O4 and KPF6 solutions. Hence, due to the noble physical and biological properties of silver colloid nanoparticles, it becomes a great candidate and promising in the future to be used as an anti-coronavirus surface.","PeriodicalId":43605,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Optoelectronic and Biomedical Materials","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44274262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
