FSO has vast attraction due its high bandwidth, cost-effectiveness, high data rate, transmitting over long distance etc. Relay nodes in FSO system leads to increase the transmission distance and it also helps to reduce the effects of atmospheric turbulence in FSO system. All-optical amplify and forward (OAF) relaying technique helps to amplify and forward the signal. However, EDFA optical amplifier in OAF causes Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) noise, degradation of the system’s Bit Error Ratio (BER) and the value of Optical Signal to Noise Ratio (OSNR) are also dropped. In this paper, we used EDFA and RAMAN serially as Hybrid Optical Amplifier (HOA) in OAF relay node to meet the deployment challenges of existing system. CAM is faster due to the arrangement of core cells that allows parallel access, it searches total memory array in single clock cycle. CAM plays a crucial role in network applications because of its parallel access. In this paper, we explored and described about CAM architectures based on N-type, P-type and TG-type comparison circuitry. For faster memory search, we used a latch-type match-line (ML) sensing scheme. Search operations and results of the CAM designs have been verified using a 45-nm CMOS process at 27°C with 1 V supply in SPECTRE simulator. As the number of diabetic patients is increasing significantly in India, there is a rise in numerous associated diseases that have disturbed the society. Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is considered to be one of such silent diseases which occur as a result of either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. Late diagnosis of this disease may lead to permanent eye blindness. Thus, for early diagnosis of Diabetic Retinopathy, a software-based algorithm is designed here. This technique can be promising for the pre-detection of DR without any involvement of an expert doctor and hence will save both time and money. Here, MATLAB based image processing is used which exploits the knowledge of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering to identify whitish lesions, cotton wool spots and hard exudates associated with DR. It is effective for classification as well as regression. However, it is more widely used for classification prediction. kNN groups the data into coherent clusters or subsets and classifies the newly inputted data based on its similarity with previously trained data. The input is assigned to the class with which it shares the most nearest neighbors. Though kNN is effective, it has many weaknesses. This paper highlights the kNN method and its modified versions available in previously done researches. Conventionally, Proportional-Integral (PI) controllers for PS-FB converters are tuned using Ziegler-Nichols or damped oscillation based approach. The lack of an accurate mathematical model leads to inefficient control results. In this paper, a design method which eliminates the need of a transfer function or a state space model to optimize the PI controller parameters of PS-FB DC-DC Converters used in hybrid and electric vehicles is presented. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is developed with respect to Integral Square Error (ISE), Integral Absolute Error (IAE) and a new performance metric, Integral Absolute Error with Settling Time (IAEST) is proposed. After we do the parameter estimation of solar cell using genetic algorithm (GA). Using GA, we estimate the five parameters (Iph, I0, n, Rs and Rsh) form the single diode configuration of PV cell. After estimation we try to extract the five unknown parameters (Iph, I0, n, Rs and Rsh) of module Kyocera (KC200GT) using genetic algorithm and compare the output power using different methods. In this paper, the design and simulation of circuit for hipot testing of cables is reported. The circuit essentially comprises of Pulse Forming Network (PFN) based Marx Generator. Marx Generator basically generates a high voltage pulse from a low voltage DC supply. The Pulse Forming Network (PFN) is used to store the exact amount voltage required for hipot testing. The pulse parameters in PFN circuit can be varied and controlled by altering the PFN and the load connected to the PFN. For simulation purpose P-Spice software is being used. Simulation results are obtained for 20 kV charging voltage, 30kV max pulse voltage with 5µs pulse-width. Single stage and multi stage of PFN based Marx generator required for Hi-pot testing are simulated and discussed.
