This article aims to comprehend the implementation of empowerment strategies for millennial farmers and their impacts. The research methodology utilized is qualitative with a case study approach, employing data collection techniques through interviews and observations. This study showed that the implementation of empowerment strategies by Komunitas Ternak Lembu Mukti involves five main activities, namely plegung, regular arisan (rotating credit association), a savings and loan system for initial capital, the principle of 3 M (Self-Management, Financial Management, and time management), and the provision of land facilities by the village. These activities have had a positive impact on the members of the community and society at large, leading to enhanced livestock management skills, productivity, and welfare. This study concludes that the implementation of empowerment strategies for millennial farmers has yielded positive outcomes in terms of enhancing capabilities, productivity, and the welfare of the community. Furthermore, the strategies align with the principles of the ACTORS theory, as they grant communities the freedom to leverage local potential with the support of external actors as empowering agents. \u0000AbstrakPemberdayaan peternak milenial oleh Komunitas Ternak Lembu Mukti di Desa Ngargosari dilakukan sebagai upaya meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami penerapan strategi pemberdayaan peternak milenial serta dampaknya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dengan teknik penugumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi pemberdayaan oleh Komunitas Ternak Lembu Mukti melibatkan lima kegiatan utama, yaitu plegung, arisan rutin, sistem simpan pinjam untuk modal awal, prinsip 3 M (Manajemen Diri, Manajemen Keuangan, Manajemen Waktu), serta fasilitas lahan yang diberikan oleh desa. Kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut memberikan dampak positif pada anggota komunitas dan masyarakat, meningkatkan kemampuan mengelola ternak, produktivitas, dan kesejahteraan. Although actively engaging in da’wah on the @halimahalaydrus account, Ustazah Halimah Alaydrus intriguingly chooses not to share any pictures or photos of herself. This raises questions regarding the da’wah communication that focuses on social interactions, considering that facial expression is a significant factor in shaping perceptions during communication. The article employs a qualitative descriptive approach. The findings of this study demonstrate that Ustazah Halimah Alaydrus adeptly performs social interactions, successfully establishing closeness with her followers on Instagram. She utilizes various available features such as live broadcasts, highlights, stories, and comment sections to interact with her mad'u (target audience for dakwah). This study concludes that not showing her face in da’wah communication on Instagram does not hinder the process of social interaction. Ustazah Halimah Alaydrus remains capable of fostering effective communication with her followers and achieving her da’wah objectives despite not sharing her pictures. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Artikel ini membahas mengenai komunikasi dakwah yang dilakukan oleh Ustazah Halimah Alaydrus di media sosial Instagram. Ustazah Halimah Alaydrus aktif berdakwah di akun @halimahalaydrus namun menariknya, dia memilih untuk tidak membagikan gambar atau foto dirinya. Hal ini menimbulkan pertanyaan seputar bagaimana komunikasi dakwahnya yang berfokus pada interaksi sosial, mengingat wajah merupakan faktor penting dalam pembentukan persepsi saat berkomunikasi. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif model deskriptif. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ustazah Halimah Alaydrus mampu melakukan interaksi sosial dengan baik dan berhasil menciptakan kedekatan dengan para pengikutnya di Instagram. Dia memanfaatkan berbagai fitur yang tersedia, seperti siaran langsung, sorotan, cerita, dan kolom komentar, untuk berinteraksi dengan mad'u (target dakwah). Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tidak menampilkan wajahnya dalam berkomunikasi dakwah di Instagram tidak menghambat terjadinya proses interaksi sosial. The practice of wearing a face veil represents a newly formed cultural expression in the contemporary religious context of Acehnese Muslim women. This article explores various aspects related to the use of the veil among Muslim women in Aceh today, including the historical emergence of the veil within the socio-cultural context of Acehnese society, the cultural and objective conditions of Acehnese society that allow for the emergence of the veil, and the theological motives underlying the contemporary usage of the veil by Acehnese women. This study is based on observations and interviews. Observations were conducted on the increasing number of women wearing the veil in society, particularly among students at various universities and educational institutions in Aceh. The study indicates that although the veil does not have historical roots in Acehnese fashion, it is still accepted as a new Islamic culture. The use of the veil in Aceh has become a cultural necessity as Aceh opens itself up to a globalized world system, which inevitably leads to intercultural connections. The theological significance of wearing the veil among Acehnese Muslim women also indicates an increased awareness of improving their relationship with the Divine Creator. Therefore, the phenomenon of wearing a face veil as a contemporary fashion style among Acehnese Muslim women to express their religious identity is not bound by local history and even remains open to embracing cultures and expressions of beliefs from outside, as long as those cultures do not contradict Islamic values. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Bercadar yang kini menjadi sebuah model berpakaian muslimah Aceh diyakini bukan berasal dari tradisi lokal keacehan. Fenomena bercadar merupakan sebuah bentukan budaya baru dalam ekspresi keagamaan muslimah Aceh kontemporer. Artikel membahas beberapa sisi terkait penggunaan cadar di kalangan muslimah Aceh hari ini yang meliputi; sejarah kemunculan cadar dalam konteks sosial budaya masyarakat Aceh, budaya dan kondisi objektif masyarakat Aceh yang memberi ruang kemunculan cadar, dan motif teologi dalam konteks penggunaan cadar perempuan Aceh kontemporer. Kajian ini didasarkan pada observasi dan wawancara. Observasi dilakukan atas fenomena pemakai cadar yang semakin bertambah dalam masyarakat, terutama dari kalangan mahasiswa di beberapa universitas dan lembaga pendidikan lainnya di Aceh. Community empowerment strategies include human resource development, productive endeavors, provision of information, capital development, and group institutionalization. This article focuses on women's participation in the empowerment of coastal communities in the tourist attraction of Pulau Banyak, Aceh Singkil. The objective of this article is to describe women's participation, forms of empowerment, and inhibiting factors. This study is based on qualitative field research to be conducted in 2022. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with relevant informants. The study showed that, in addition to the economic potential of marine and fisheries resources, Pulau Banyak also possesses promising tourism potential due to its attractive natural landscapes. This tourism potential has been utilized by the local community and women through microeconomic activities. However, women's empowerment strategies in the context of tourism on Pulau Banyak are still limited and rely on government assistance. Insufficient mentoring and limited marketing access are obstacles to women's empowerment. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Beberapa objek wisata di Indonesia telah melibatkan masyarakat lokal dalam pengelolaan dan pengembangan. This study aims to examine how philosophy plays a role in the transformation of multicultural societies and the position of philosophy within the social framework of a multicultural society. A qualitative approach with a literature review model is employed in this study. The findings of this study demonstrate that multicultural societies in Indonesia have undergone transformation parallel to global advancements in science, technology, and societal progress. Consequently, the study of philosophy needs to be revitalized both academically and sociologically. There are three crucial points that require revitalization, namely through the three pillars of El: social philosophy's eligibility, the elimination of perennialistic thinking, and the elaboration of progressive multicultural philosophy. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Pemikiran filsafat memiliki implikasi terhadap proses transformasi masyarakat, baik itu perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi maupun perkembangan masyarakat multikultural itu sendiri. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang bagaimana filsafat berperan dalam transformasi masyarakat multikultural dan bagaimana kedudukan filsafat dan tatanan sosial masyarakat yang multikulturalistik. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan model studi kepustakaan.  Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat multikultural di Indonesia telah bertransformasi seiring dengan perkembangan dunia, dan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Oleh karena itu, studi filsafat perlu direvitalisasi, baik secara akademis ataupun sosiologis. This article aims to describe the sustainability threats posed by traditional salt farming activities in Gampong Cebrek, Simpang Tiga Subdistrict, Pidie Regency. The article presents findings from a qualitative field research conducted using observational data and in-depth interviews with selected traditional salt farmers employing purposive sampling technique. The study reveals that the existence of traditional salt farming activities in Gampong Cebrek, Pidie Regency, is confronted with several issues that could potentially jeopardize their future existence. Firstly, the regeneration process of salt farmers is not progressing effectively. Secondly, the declining participation and capabilities of salt farmers due to their advanced age. Thirdly, government policies have led to a decrease in production and distribution of salt. Lastly, the conversion of agricultural land into residential areas has occurred. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Hambatan dalam usaha pegaraman selalu terjadi pada komunitas petani garam yang berdampak pada keberlanjutan usaha garam di masa mendatang. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang ancaman keberlanjutan dari aktivitas pertanian garam tradisional di Gampong Cebrek, Kecamatan Simpang tiga, Kabupaten Pidie. Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian lapangan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan wawancara mendalam kepada petani garam tradisional yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa eksistensi aktivitas pertanian garam tradisional di Gampong Cebrek Kabupaten Pidie dihadapkan pada beberapa persoalan yang kemudian dapat mengancam eksistensi mereka di masa mendatang. Pertama, proses regenerasi pertani garam yang tidak berjalan dengan baik. Kedua, partisipasi dan kemampuan petani garam yang semakin menurun karena telah memasuki usia senja. Ketiga, kebijakan pemerintah yang berdampak pada menurunnya aktivitas produksi dan distribusi garam. To implement effective social policies, it is crucial to understand the complex social vulnerabilities experienced by these individuals. This study aims to illuminate the extent of deprivation faced by urban Indonesian waste pickers in the modern world, revealing not only the intricacies and depth of their vulnerabilities but also the contributing factors. A qualitative research approach was employed, consisting of interviews and observations within a South Tangerang waste picker community from 2014 to 2018. The findings reveal that waste pickers' vulnerabilities stem from interrelated, multidimensional, and layered deprivations. These vulnerabilities should not be viewed as isolated individual conditions but rather as collective community experiences. Consequently, social policies must be developed with a focus on the collectivity of waste pickers, taking into account their relationships and vulnerabilities, and implemented progressively over time. \u0000AbstrakKomunitas pemulung hidup dalam eksklusi sosial dan kemiskinan, yang menyebabkan derajat kerentanan sosial mereka tinggi. Kebijakan sosial yang tepat tidak akan bisa terlaksana jika tidak diketahui kompleksitas kerentanan sosial yang dialami pemulung. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan sejauh mana pemulung di perkotaan Indonesia mengalami deprivasi dalam dunia modern, sehingga dapat terungkap bukan hanya lapisan-lapisan dan kedalaman dari kerentanan mereka, tetapi juga beberapa faktor yang menjadi penyebabnya. Untuk itu, peneliti melakukan studi kualitatif dengan wawancara dan observasi pada satu komunitas pemulung di kota Tangerang Selatan, sejak tahun 2014 hingga 2018. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa kerentanan yang dialami pemulung disebabkan oleh deprivasi yang berlapis, multidimensional dan saling berkaitan. Kerentanan pemulung juga tidak dapat dipahami sebagai kondisi individual, tapi pengalaman kolektif yang berbasis komunitas. This article aims to analyze the position of Balinese women in tourism management in Bali. This research is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive analysis. This research found that Balinese women are very enthusiastic as homeworkers because they are related to domestic activities. These symptoms are related to the ideological superstructure and work ethic. This study also found that social structure and material infrastructure strengthen the work ethic. Balinese women think that work is yadnya, needs to be carried out and practiced to improve self-quality. Even though Balinese women experience injustice in the management of tourism in Bali, they are still eager to earn a living. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Perempuan sering diposisikan sebagai kaum marginal dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan, termasuk posisi perempuan Bali dalam pengelolaan pariwisata di Bali. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis posisi perempuan Bali dalam pengelolaan pariwisata di Bali. Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menemukan perempuan Bali amat bergairah sebagai pekerja rumahan karena berkaitan dengan kegiatan domestik. Gejala ini terkait dengan superstruktur ideologi dan etos kerja. Penelitian ini juga menemukan struktur sosial dan infrastruktur material memberikan penguatan terhadap etos kerja. Populism has been used to describe many leaders and situations in different contexts, and scholars have not agreed on a definitive formulation. This article will fill this gap by using a literature review to increase and enrich knowledge about populism and deepen its surrounding discourse, specifically academic discourse in social and political fields. This article contends that although scholars differ in their definition of populism, the political phenomenon can still be identified. Empirically, populism can be identified through behaviors, attitudes, and political rhetoric. Furthermore, the article concludes that increased populism in a global and national context is influenced by various contexts and problems that exist in different countries. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Artikel ini membahas tentang populisme, yaitu sebuah term politik yang akhir-akhir ini menguat di dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Populisme telah digunakan untuk menggambarkan pemimpin dan situasi dalam konteks yang beragam, dan para scholar belum menemukan kata sepakat mengenai formulasi definisi yang tepat tentang populisme. Artikel ini mencoba mendiskusikannya dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur dengan harapan dapat memberikan kontribusi dan pengayaan pengetahuan, memperdalam diskursus dan menambah wacana akademik, khususnya dalam bidang ilmu sosial dan politik. Kajian ini berpendapat bahwa meskipun para ahli memiliki pandangan yang berbeda tentang populisme, tidak berarti fenomena sosial politik ini tidak dapat diidentifikasi. Pada tingkat empiris, populisme dapat diidentifikasi melalui sikap, perilaku dan retorika politiknya. {"title":"The Decline of Local Political Parties in Post-Conflict Aceh: A Qualitative Study","authors":"Siti Ikramatoun, Z. Some studies note that an essential aspect contributing to the Aceh peace context is the presence of local political parties in the post-peace era. This article aims to describe the declining existence of local political parties in the political life of Aceh society. This study employs a qualitative method, with primary data obtained from interviews and secondary data gathered from relevant literature reviews. The study reveals that local political parties in post-conflict Aceh have essentially gone through three of the four phases and are beginning to enter the fourth. The first phase is the formation of local political parties, the second is their rise, and the third is their victory in Aceh's political contestation. The fourth phase is decline or reduction, characterized by local parties being abandoned by their supporters. This research identifies several factors indicating the current existence of local political parties in the decline phase: 1) Loss of public trust; 2) Pessimism among political actors; 3) Weak party integrity and human resources; 4) Unprofessional organizational management; and 5) Internal conflicts within the party.
