Maharogi Sewa Samiti, Anandwan has been a pioneer in medical treatment and rehabilitation of leprosy patients in the world.The best ways are to use the available resources with the management, such as human resource skill of leprosy patients, assistance of various sections (civil, electric, fabrication, carpentry and general section) for the development of infrastructure, renovation of the building, furniture, electrification, gardening, etc., in the interest of the institute and its users. Financial resources have been generated from private agencies for the development of the library. Currently, the library is well-equipped and rendering conventional and non-conventional information services to the users. The library is not receiving any financial assistance from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the state government and, therefore, the best ways described in this paper are found to be quite useful for the development of the library and the users to fulfill the objective i.e. agriculture education, research and extension.","PeriodicalId":433348,"journal":{"name":"Pearl: A Journal of Library and Information Science","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114514795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The records are collected from Web of Science Databases for the period of 1999–2013. A total of 6335 papers were identified in Web of Science database. The study reveals that most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in journals; as such 79.41% of articles were published in journals. More numbers of articles were published in the year 2012. The authorship trend shows that, out of total 6335 literature published, 89% of the publications were published under the joint author. It is observed that author productivity is not in agreement with Lotka's law, but productivity distribution data partially fits the law when the value of Chi–square is equal to 727.37. Furthermore, this study also identifies that analyses coverage growth rates, source wise. Degree of collaboration, areas of research concentration, word frequency, geographical distribution of the literature and citation analysis are also noted.","PeriodicalId":433348,"journal":{"name":"Pearl: A Journal of Library and Information Science","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123397979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study examined the influence of age, sex, income level, marital status, educational qualification and family size on stress. To achieve this, six null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Ex-post facto research design was adopted for the study. A sample of 120 respondents was used for the study. The selection was done through purposive and accidental non probability sampling techniques. Questionnaire was the main instruments used for data collection. The instrument was faced validated by the supervisor and experts in measurement and evaluation who vetted the items developed. The reliability estimate of the instruments was established through the use of Cronbach Alpha reliability method. One-way analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and independent ttest analysis were the statistical techniques employed to test the hypotheses under study. Each hypothesis was tested at 0.05 level of significance. The results of the analysis revealed that, age, income level and educational qualification significantly influence stress among librarians, while sex, marital status and family size had no significant influence on stress among librarians. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended among others that librarians' salary should be improved and the working environment should be conducive. Librarians' job is not sex limited, as such, all who are educationally qualified and are of age should be employed for the services irrespective of marital status.","PeriodicalId":433348,"journal":{"name":"Pearl: A Journal of Library and Information Science","volume":"77 S338","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120835247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
