This study focuses on preserving the cultural heritage of artifacts and sustaining tourism activities for the history of Hang Tuah Village in Melaka, Malaysia, through immersive virtual reality technology. Tourists can interact within the surrounding village, interact with the artefacts, and experienced more enjoyable learning history using the immersive virtual reality. There is no traveling required, and the exploration at its places is safer due to no Covid-19 exposition and no disturbance to the heritage place. We evaluate the usefulness of immersive virtual using the User Experience Questionnaire that originally has 16 dimensions. Five dimensions are applied: attractiveness, perspicuity, reliability, utility, and novelty. A total number of 17 questionnaires were involved and tested on 35 respondents. As a result, the acceptability reaches ‘high’ with an average mean score of 4.01 or 81.2% from the overall score. With the high acceptance response, we conclude that immersive virtual reality can assist in sustaining the tourism industry to preserve the heritage of Hang Tuah Village.","PeriodicalId":433197,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 11th International Conference on System Engineering and Technology (ICSET)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121564502","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Remote sensing, as the main measurement tool to spatial analytics, is a common approach with lack of time resolution in micro-spatial. Likewise, the historical weather data aims to describe the temperature in general. As an alternative, the mobile transect method can be used to obtain air temperature directly as it feels human at a specific hour and route, however, it requires a lot of resources. Another method using fixed station is a way to measure temperature and humidity along with air temperature too. The last method is convenience with its requirements such as compact, simple and easy to install, cost-effective, efficient power, and real-time. In addition, this method is available with an affordable price so that it is possible to install many sensors. This research aims to show how the fixed station can be used to observe UHI by collecting temperature and humidity data every minute. The collected data was analyzed using Pearson correlation among the data; from fixed station, BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency), and OpenWeatherMap. The result showed there is a high correlation between our two telemetry sensors and BMKG (0.87 and 0.88). The tendency of skewness and kurtosis at certain hours showed the variation in describing the condition of the surrounding hot spots. Furthermore, it explained the consequences of anthropogenic, such as vehicle density.","PeriodicalId":433197,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 11th International Conference on System Engineering and Technology (ICSET)","volume":"193 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117094655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is also caused by the thermodynamics of the system which is not ideal. Therefore, analytical batch distillation modeling does not fulfill superposition theory, or is nonlinear. Thus, any well-established linear control schemes can not be applied here. Meanwhile, modeling a system using the Nonlinear Autoregressive with eXogenous inputs (NARX) is quite widely used today because of its ability to represent non-linear system dynamics. This paper propose a system identification using NARX Neural Network (NARX-NN) to modeling batch distillation process. In order to prove the superiority of NARX-NN's accuracy in the system identification process, a comparison with linear ARMA models is done. In this study, ARMA approximation was carried out in two ways. The first way is to use a neural network, while the second method is through approximation to the discrete transfer function. The validation results show that the NARX-NN achieves significantly better fit compared to the linear models. Every passenger who uses public transport service every single day wants transports providers to provide better service for the day by day. Therefore, by looking at this requirement, transport providers want to improve their services by making changes of their manual transaction system to the cashless system. Lack of knowledge of cashless systems among the passengers in suburban and rural areas may lead to the poor effectiveness of the cashless systems. In this study, the researchers want to focus on assessing the most influential factors that contribute towards the effectiveness of using the cashless systems in public transport bus service among passengers in Masjid Tanah Sentral and Jasin Sentral. There are three (3) factors was selected in this study; perceived usefulness, technology and flexibility of the cashless system. The research approach for this research is through the distribution of questionnaires that have been developed based on reviewing the related literature that is relevant to this study. The questionnaire was analysed by using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) software for the quantitative data collection because the total number of respondents in this study is less than 200. Based on data analysis, the results of this study were showed that the perceived usefulness and flexibility of cashless systems are the factors that can affect the effectiveness of the cashless systems in a suburban city. According to the findings, this study would provide useful information for society, local authorities and also the company in order to improve their services.","PeriodicalId":433197,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 11th International Conference on System Engineering and Technology (ICSET)","volume":"193 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133788603","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, the enhancement and evolution of technologies enable the news to be manipulated by irresponsible people. However, it is not deniable that somehow this technology impacts our daily life. Nowadays, people get the latest news through the social media platforms as it is free, easy to access, and fast. However, not all the news on social media is reliable, and some fake news are spread to mislead the readers. Fake news can disseminate information to confuse people to believe things that are not true. In Natural Language Processing, text processing such as regular expression, removing the stop words and lemmatization are done before the data is being transformed into N-grams using TF-IDF and Count Vectorizer. Therefore, this paper aimed to review the fake news detection using the Naive Bayes algorithms. Results shows that Naive Bayes with n-gram gives a slight increase in the accuracy of TF-IDF and Count Vectorizer. It proves that TF-IDF Vectorizer can detect fake news better as it has higher precision of 94 % whereas Count Vectorizer can detect both fake news and real news in quite a balance.","PeriodicalId":433197,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 11th International Conference on System Engineering and Technology (ICSET)","volume":"02 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132563435","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It features high bandwidth and low latency communications such that the mobile robot can communicate with an edge computer in real-time application. In our demonstration, a mobile robot is loaded with sensors and connected to an edge computer and a serial link manipulator. Successfully implement the algorithm on the edge computer using Lidar scan from the mobile robot during operations, the positions of the mobile robot are precisely determined. The Lidar scan, which is 2873 bytes, can be real-time updated at 150 milliseconds with a latency of 1.5 milliseconds. Our proposed wireless network can connect all the machines in an automation cell, i.e., a mobile robot, a manipulator, a warehouse, and an edge computer. Particularly, on our edge computer, the edge computer collects all the data from all the machines in-house to generate an up-to-date map used to control the automation cell during the robot's collaboration work. Here, a use case is where the mobile robot picks up a package from the manipulator and then delivers it to the warehouse. In the meantime, both the mobile robot and the manipulator are in motion during the package transfer.","PeriodicalId":433197,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 11th International Conference on System Engineering and Technology (ICSET)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114338984","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditionally for objectives-oriented and fast robot competition like Robocon, no robot simulations were conducted at all from majority of the participants especially from Malaysia for their developed mobile robots to find the optimum movement and navigation in the game arena, but instead directly deploy the strategy by trial and error. Consequently, the processes were time-consuming and involved waste of materials and further expenses to physically test each robots. Hence in this research, a 3WD omni-wheel mobile robot with basic components including motors and omni-wheels has been designed in SolidWorks before being imported into Webots. The simulation environment in Webots has been designed in a way that it contains some obstacles in an arena. Programming controllers were created to control the movements of the robot by C++ and physics were applied to both robot and objects. In addition, optical sensors were also placed on the body of the robot to add the ability of obstacles avoidance. The overall simulation results showed promising outcome to be implemented by Robocon participants towards achieving sustainable development process. The developed mobile robot can be successfully controlled to maneuver in omni-directional movement. Optimum movement of the robot can finally be properly strategized by participants before going into the competition.","PeriodicalId":433197,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 11th International Conference on System Engineering and Technology (ICSET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130522110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of game-based learning strategies in educating users has shown a promise to increase user understanding of focus topics. This study investigates the extent whether Game-Based Learning (henceforth, GBL) and the SECI model could improve vaccine education and understanding. The SECI model is used in this study since it is the most well-known framework for studying knowledge processes. SECI is typically used in an organization to transfer knowledge. It is the acronym for Socialization, Externalization, Combination and Internalization. Our goal is to develop VaccineLand; a digital board game that incorporates the SECI principles into GBL to make learning more effective thus boosts knowledge. The conceptual model of VaccineLand consists of 3 phases that are based on Input-Process-Outcome (IPO) game-based learning model. The proposed conceptual model complies with the GBL strategies and SECI model elements.","PeriodicalId":433197,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 11th International Conference on System Engineering and Technology (ICSET)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123852987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
