Associations between scholarly awards and academic productivity in neurosurgery have not been thoroughly investigated. We explore associations between JST awards and measures of academic productivity to evaluate the relationship between scholarly output, fellowship training, and awarded recognition. Demographic information was collected from public data of 1671 academic neurosurgeons comprising 115 Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education accredited institutions. h -index was queried from Scopus. The mean-Relative Citation Ratio (RCR) and weighted-RCR were gathered from the NIH iCite database from 2002-2020. JST award reception was determined from the JST official resource. RCR, h -index, and NIH funding were compared between neurosurgeons who received JST awards and those who did not, using multivariable linear regression. Analysis showed w-RCR was higher among award recipients (β=15.02; 95% CI:4.741,25.29; p <0.01), while m-RCR was not significantly different (β=-0.049, 95%CI 0.2214,0.1238; p =0.5336). h -index was higher among award winners (β=2.155; 95% CI 1.164,3.147; p =0.0008). Award recipients also received greater NIH funding ( p <0.0001) and were positively associated with Oncology/Skull Base, General, and Radiosurgery subspecialty training. Receiving a JST award may be correlated with a more productive research career and establishes benchmark metrics for JST award winning. To our knowledge, this is one of the first analyses on this type of award winning in neurosurgery using both the h -index and the more recently created RCR.","PeriodicalId":43282,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientometric Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84706064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study was conducted to explore the growth, and global trend of e-learning during the COVID-19 publications and to evaluate them by analyzing various features of the research outputs. The global publications on e-learning and COVID-19, indexed in Web of Science (WOS), were retrieved and analyzed by bibliometrix package of R software. There were 491 publications retrieved and then exported in a plain text format to the bibliometrix software. The results showed that the publication on the concept of e-learning and COVID-19 started in 2020, increased rapidly after the COVID-19 pandemic, and thereafter has received increasing attention by researchers, particularly in 2021. We found that the USA is the leading country with the highest number of publications followed by India, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Jorden and the UK. Also, the findings show that\"Education”, followed by\"Students”, \"Impact” and \"Model”, have the highest frequency among keywords in the literature, indicating that e-learning is a general topic in many fields. Conceptual structure map analysis classified the e-learning and COVID-19 publications into four main clusters. This study aimed to presents a comprehensive scenario of e-learning and COVID-19 publications after the prevalence of the pandemic. The results of this paper, can contribute to the existing knowledge, via showing e-learning and COVID-19 research volumes and trends. The outcome of this paper should be considered by institutions, universities, researchers and librarians. © Author (s) 2023 Distributed under Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0.","PeriodicalId":43282,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientometric Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77648552","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

That’s where concept of carrying capacity comes into the picture to find out limitation and current overloading on natural resources and urban infrastructure. In this study to understand growth of research work on Urban Carrying Capacity (UCC) from seed to tree, a thorough bibliometric analysis has been done in R language-based software package called Biblioshiny which is an online web-based data analysis framework. Analysis has been done for the time span of 1978 to 2021, from which 327 manually filtered documents have been selected. The results show that (1) since 1978, papers on UCC are gradually increasing. This time span is divided into low production period, stable production period and rapid production period (2) UCC research covers 28 countries, out of which China, Indonesia and USA are the top three. In which China is having the most number of papers and collaboration with other countries (3) Sustainable development, ecological carrying capacity, ecological footprint, environment carrying capacity, water resources and analytical hierarchy process are the high-frequency keywords used in recent years (4) Mostly papers are focused on single factors based studies (land-based, water-based, air-based, infrastructure-based) and low numbers papers are on comprehensive analysis. Finally, study conclude that future scope on UCC includes strengthening existing definition and theory of carrying capacity, introducing new technology and model in the system like artificial intelligence, work on more comprehensive analysis than single-factor analysis and constructing a practical planning policy.","PeriodicalId":43282,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientometric Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91393748","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
