However, despite not being a new issue, it is an issue that needs a broad engagement for its full development. In this context, the general objective of this research is to analyze the state of the art of scientific production on clusters in countries that make up South America, according to the Scopus platform. Based on the principles of social network analysis, the textual corpus available in the context of the terms Cluster OR “Industrial District” OR NOT “Cluster Analysis” from the survey of 300 articles in databases and through the application of selection filters were explored. 150 articles we extracted for the corpus of this research. To data compile, the following softwares we used: HistCiteTM, VOSviewer, Gephi and Iramuteq. The textual analysis modality of the research corpus associated with metric studies was adopted to contextualize the indicators related to production. As a result of this study, a research elite in South America composed of 19 authors, 5 thematic communities called Performance, Cooperation, Innovation, Market and Resources, 31 bibliographic couplings, Brazil as the country that publishes the most articles in the area with 101 documents.","PeriodicalId":43282,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientometric Research","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83215153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research has been done in terms of the purpose of the applied type and in terms of methodology is survey with the Altmetric analysis approach. The study population in this study consists of review and original research articles in the field of Library amd Information Science. The results of the review of research questions showed that there is a significant difference between review articles and original research articles in terms of reading in Mendeley, sharing on Twitter, receiving citations in Wikipedia, and No significant differences between the reflection of review and original research articles in News media and policy. The results showed, the social impact of review articles was more than original research articles. So the results show the importance of review articles in the body of scientific publications. Accordingly, it is necessary for writers and researchers and subsequently scientific journals, realizing the importance of these articles in the development of science interactions with society, to pay more attention to their acceptance and publication.","PeriodicalId":43282,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientometric Research","volume":"10 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81844801","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A change influenced this recent release in its calculation because of the inclusion of early access items not considered in previous releases. These alterations can directly influence JIF results, mainly due to a more extensive source of citations, but this may not have occurred homogeneously for all journals. Objectives: To investigate Brazilian scientific research on Alzheimer’s Disease before and after the implementation of the National Agenda for Health Research Priorities. Methodology: A quantitative research study based on data from Brazilian scientific output on Alzheimer’s Disease collected from the Scopus database in 1974-2005 and 2006-2019. Scientometric methods were used, especially journal and author cocitation analysis. Results: The findings show a growth of original and review articles on Alzheimer’s Disease, published mainly in journals focused on health sciences and authored by researchers from institutions in the Southeast region. The analysis of co-citation journals revealed that Brazilian research on Alzheimer’s Disease, in the first period, was distributed on 72 titles focused on health sciences and, in the second period, 679 titles with broader field coverage. The co-citation authors initially revealed 93 authors co-cited in distant clusters and, in the second period, 1,000 authors co-cited in more connected clusters. Conclusion: Attention is drawn to the strong growth in the Brazilian production of Alzheimer’s Disease after the implementation of the Agenda, as well as to a change in the intellectual structure of research on Alzheimer’s Disease. It is supposed that the Agenda may have acted as a vital element not only for scientific production but also for the release of resources and the participation of researchers, both fundamental actors that would also explain the observed changes.","PeriodicalId":43282,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientometric Research","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83294889","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we analyzed the entire 80 years of research on Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys worldwide with the web of science database as the basic data source and the visualization software CiteSpace to summarize the status of Sichuan snub-nosed monkey research. The study shows that: 1. Throughout the 80 years of Sichuan snub-nosed monkey research, it can be summarized into three developmental stages. During the 57 years from 1942 to 1998, which was the beginning stage of Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys; while during the 8 years from 1999 to 2006, which was the development stage of Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys; from 2007 to the present, which was the peak stage of Sichuan snub-nosed monkey’s research. 2. Investigating the countries/regions, institutions, authors, and core journals of Sichuan snub-nosed monkey research throughout the past 80 years, we found that the research on Sichuan snub-nosed monkey, as an endemic species in China, is still dominated by Chinese research units and personnel, and the research units and researchers from various countries or regions are very close in their research relationships, and the papers published by these researchers are also concentrated in some core journals. 3. Throughout its 80-year history, the subject of Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys has undergone two explosive periods, after which it gradually reached saturation in the research field.","PeriodicalId":43282,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientometric Research","volume":"72 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81722245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To support the qualitative comparative analysis of these university systems, a quantitative methodology for calculating country university competitiveness has been developed. Since the largest number of universities in all countries of the world is included in the Webometrics Ranking, this methodology is illustrated by its example. It identifies two indicators - the total number of universities in the country and the average positioning of these universities in the selected ranking. After normalizing these indicators, they are aggregated in a multiplicative and additive way to obtain three integral indicators. The features of the discrepancy in the calculations for these integral indicators are explained. This methodology has been proposed to be tried on the example of other world university rankings.","PeriodicalId":43282,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientometric Research","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85382801","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It includes semantic analysis in the research funding evaluation process to effectively study short-term and long-term funding impact on publication outputs. Our dataset consists of researchers who received research grants from the National ICT Research and Development funding program of Pakistan. Whereas Pakistani researchers’ publications dataset was extracted from Scopus. We show several interesting case studies to conclude that bibliometric-based quantitative assessment combined with semantics can build better sustainable pathways to deploy evaluation frameworks for research funding effectively. The funding data of closed projects from 2007 to 2013 was obtained from ICT R&D public records. The publications dataset was extracted from Scopus data and the details of the statistics were, publications=61,421; researchers=42,376, organizations=213; funded projects=17, funded researchers=23 and funded organizations=10. A significant positive impact (more research output after allocation of funds) has been found for almost all studied organizations. Similarly, a positive funding impact on research output and average co-authorship for the studied cases (investigators under consideration) was found. However, no funding impact was found on the research focus of investigators, i.e., research focus remained almost unchanged after grant allocation. Also, the study suggested the best possible match candidates for collaboration or potential reviewers against the selected project by semantically analyzing the executive summary. This model allows us to estimate trade-impacts of various trade related policies. Thousands of research studies have applied gravity models in their research works. The purpose of this paper is to look at bibliometric analysis of worldwide publication output based on a gravity model of international trade, as covered by Scopus from 1987 to 2021. The study analyses annual productivity, most productive source titles, prolific countries, eminent institutions, linguistic analysis and productivity of authors and their contribution in the subject area. According to the findings, Estimation of trade variables and projections are the most popular areas of subject specification, while in terms of literature gaps, estimation of economic integration, Extensive and Intensive Margin, and Logistics Performance Index receive less attention. 2019 was the most productive year for research on gravity models in international trade. In terms of contemporary research output, the United States, Germany, Spain, and China are the most productive countries; while as per citation analysis the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom are the top three countries. The most prolific journals for publishing works in the subject of the gravity model of international trade are Journal of International Economics, American Economic Review, and Review of Economics and Statistics. The study attempts to portray the existing literature more comprehensively by showing research collaborations and bibliographic coupling. This includes i) inter-correlation; ii) intra-correlation; and iii) year-to-year correlation between ranks and scores of institutions as well as long-term correlation at intervals of five years, i.e. 2017 and 2021. The correlation analysis reveals that while RP (Pearson r = 0.9098), PR (Pearson r = 0.8941), TLR (Pearson r = 0.7118) and GO (Pearson r = 0.5330) are four major categories of parameters that have good to strong correlation with the total overall score as well as with each other, parameters under O & I correlate strongly with each other but neither total score of O &I nor score of its parameters correlate with total Overall score. Year-to-year correlation between ranking of institutions as well as correlation at intervals of five years is near perfect, which reaffirms consistency and reliability of ranking methodology. Based on intra-and inter-correlation analysis conducted on raw data (rather than on its weighted score), the study identifies 12 parameters that have the highest number of correlations with total TLR, RP, GO, PR as well as total overall score with value of Pearson’s r ranging between 0.2500 to 0.9900. These 12 parameters can potentially constitute a compact and coherent set of ranking indicators on which HEIs can focus and ranking agencies may consider regrouping and redistributing weightage to these 12 indicators.","PeriodicalId":43282,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Scientometric Research","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86636461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
