They indicate that the increase of atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide cannot be a cause of climate warming. The article provides information about the working principle of the natural mechanism of automatic maintenance of temperature climate parameters. The authors show that all of the gases molar mass of differs from the molar mass of nitrogen are the working bodies of the procedures for moving heat from the stratosphere to space. Water vapor is the only greenhouse gas, and to deal effectively with water vapor in the atmosphere is impossible. However, the work contains an assessment of the feasibility of some ways to assist the natural mechanism of removing heat to space. Some methods and tools of world energy development are suggested in the article. These methods could lead to a substantial reduction of anthropogenic thermal pollution of the planet.","PeriodicalId":43245,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Energy Optimization and Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.4018/ijeoe.2020040102","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46111108","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By different estimates, in 20-60 years there could be a point of no return for the warming of the climate of Earth when no material resources of mankind are able to stop the global disaster connected with thawing of glaciers, increasing level of the ocean of 80-100 m and the transition of the Earth climate to a condition incompatible with biological life. Urgent transition to fuel-free power and a change of radiation balance of Earth by increasing the albedo of the cities and deserts is necessary. Calculating the area of specular reflectors and the area of deserts necessary for their location, are necessary to prevent global warming, and showed that the required area is 0.95-1.21% of the area of the African desert.","PeriodicalId":43245,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Energy Optimization and Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47686543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data science, including mathematics, statistics, big data, machine learning, and deep learning, can be considered as the intersection of statistics, mathematics and computer science. Although the debate continues about the core area of data science, the subject is a huge hit. Universities have a high demand for data science. They are trying to live up to this demand by opening postgraduate and doctoral programs. Since the subject is a new field, there are significant differences between the programs given by universities in data science. Besides, since the subject is close to statistics, most of the time, data science programs are opened in the statistics departments, and this also causes differences between the programs. In this article, we will summarize the data science education developments in the world and in Turkey specifically and how data science education should be at the graduate level.","PeriodicalId":43245,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Energy Optimization and Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.4018/ijeoe.2020040103","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45587264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optimal means of deriving the ES levels/scores of the participating countries from the various ESI 2002 constructs is established and, subsequently, encoded in a real-valued evolution strategy (EvS) for the viable and flexible country-specific ES improvement towards maximal ES. The EvS employs: (a) constraints concerning the number and combinations of constructs that can be concurrently improved; (b) limited and progressively decreasing construct improvements expressing the escalating difficulty of improving any construct as the construct and/or overall ES approach(es) maximum. Demonstrations on countries with diverse characteristics and comparisons with alternative optimization methodologies highlight the versatility and applicability of the proposed procedure to any country with data that is compatible to that of the participating countries.","PeriodicalId":43245,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Energy Optimization and Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44244335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article proposes a mathematical model to solve this problem. The mathematical model is based on the method of phase coordinates. Using mathematical modeling, the article determines the voltages and currents in the sections of the backup line after the automatic load transfer switch is activated. The article also proposes an improvement in the scheme of the power line sectionalizing unit. The sectionalizing unit scheme is suggested to be modified with a bypass circuit and the installation of a voltage indicator for signaling the voltage presence on the lower contacts of the switch.","PeriodicalId":43245,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Energy Optimization and Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45518003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present article introduces a covenant with the implementation of an economic dispatch (ED) in the electrical framework with the smart grid. The proposed ED strategy is comprised of two steps; the first step includes the swarm optimization technique of energy ED with the net loss of the power system and the second step consists of an ED that considers the cutoff points of system security. The prime goal of the second step is to minimize the net loss and the foundation development of the generator cost function. The test framework is comprised of four generators with one battery storage apparatus that considers the energy demand. The ED will perform for 24 hours. The test results show that the two-step ED technique not only reduces system losses but also the fuel consumption of the system as well. This article gives ideas to the industrial consumers to implement a smart grid in the industrial sector.","PeriodicalId":43245,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Energy Optimization and Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70456611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It also defines the working principle, calculations and design, challenges and applications beside the future scope of using Overshot and undershot waterwheels. In order to cover the enlarged demand for power in rural areas of Iraq, generated hydropower from waterwheels are one of the most promising solutions to produce electricity. Modern water wheels are made from steel which promising no harmful effects on the environment. In this research, two types of water wheels (Overshot and Undershot) are used to produce the electricity through fastening the waterwheel to a generator with the support of a belt and pulley arrangement, so the electrical energy resulted from mechanical energy. The full bridge rectifier is used to transfer electricity in its most effectual form while the regulator is used to adjust the current.","PeriodicalId":43245,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Energy Optimization and Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.4018/IJEOE.2019100103","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45558301","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
