Importantly, the balance among profit, people, and the planet is greatly needed. Adaptability to sudden changes, such as pandemics or economic crises, is essential. This research developed a conceptual framework of instructional model for creating innovative projects applying the sufficiency economy philosophy (SEP), which aims to balance prosperity, society, environment, and culture with risk management for private vocational colleges in Bangkok, Thailand. The conceptual framework of instructional model was created from a literature review and empirical studies. Empirical data was gathered by studying current business project instructions from stratified random samples given by 250 teachers. The findings showed that instruction of basic business management, entrepreneurship, risk management, business innovation, and social responsibility are separate instead of integrated and applied to real situations. Furthermore, student business innovation in projects is low, while the suggestions to apply the SEP to business project instruction are high. The conceptual framework of instructional model consisted of instructions and assessments, based on design thinking, SEP, constructivist learning theory, and project-based learning. These instructions and assessments led to student learning outcomes that include the knowledge, skills, and attributes necessary to develop socially responsible, risk-manageable, and innovative business projects. Evaluation of the conceptual framework of instructional model’s feasibility by five experts resulted in high or very high ratings of all items.","PeriodicalId":43208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technical Education and Training","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44215166","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of the developed system of training specialists in fashion design, which provides for the use of CAD systems, contributes to the formation of readiness of future fashion designers to use specialized software in their professional activities. To increase the efficiency of VET, we used the following types of learning activities: development of creative collage, development of artistic sketches of clothes, design of templates for different sizes, use of programs for the 3D design of the clothes. A feature of this study is the selection of the software used in the design of the clothes, namely GraziaCAD and JULIVI CAD. The effectiveness of these types of tasks is confirmed by an experiment, in which 80 students from Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design took part (CG 44 students, EG 36 students). Comparing the results of incoming and outgoing control of the level of students’ readiness, a decrease in the number of students with a low level of readiness for the use of ICT in the professional activities was noted: from 22.7 % to 11.4 % in CG and from 22.2 % to 5.6 % in EG. At the same time, the percentage of students with a high level of readiness increased in both groups: from 29.5 % to 38.6 % in CG and from 25.0 % to 66.7 % in EG. Also, it should be noted that the biggest changes in the number of students with a high level of knowledge took place in EG. This, with 95% reliability according to Pearson's criterion, means that the experimental educational program led to a significant increase in the level of readiness for the use of ICT in the EG, in comparison with the CG. This confirms the effectiveness of the proposed educational program. The results of the study confirm the effectiveness of the generally accepted international practice of using the digital design in VET in the field of fashion design and technologies.","PeriodicalId":43208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technical Education and Training","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48415264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, efforts to foster entrepreneurial intentions are still a serious problem in vocational education. This study examines the structural model of the influence of entrepreneurial interest, technological competence, digital marketing, internship experience, self-efficacy, and entrepreneurial personality on entrepreneurial intentions. Ex-post facto research with a structural approach involving 618 vocational education students in Indonesia. Data was collected through a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1-4 distributed using Google Form media. The collected data were analyzed using structural equation model analysis with path analysis and bootstrap methods. The study results show that technological competence, digital marketing, and apprenticeship experiences significantly affect the growth of entrepreneurial intentions. In addition, self-efficacy and entrepreneurial personality also significantly succeeded in mediating the influence of technological competence, digital marketing, and internship experience on entrepreneurial intentions. Teachers as learning facilitators must foster an interest in entrepreneurship as the basic root of the spur to form aspects of competence and experience needed in the business world. This aspect must also be given and strengthened to form a personality in entrepreneurship and strengthen self-efficacy so that the estuary of entrepreneurial intentions inherent in students will be stronger. This research is limited to certain variables based on the current actual theory. Future research needs to examine more deeply the potential influence of other variables that are more effective in growing students' entrepreneurial intentions in vocational education.","PeriodicalId":43208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technical Education and Training","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41731022","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The diversified student populace encounters challenges that interfere with their integration process and persistence. TVET colleges need to establish a conducive environment that fosters student integration and persistence through student support systems. This qualitative case study comprised three focus groups (18 Students) and student support staff (11) at one TVET College in KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa. The obstacles to student integration and persistence are investigated in this case study. The study also explored the various strategies that can be implemented to improve student integration. It emerged from the study that it is necessary for the institution to establish student support services that seek to eliminate obstacles that inhibit student integration and persistence to ensure student success. It was further noted that the institution’s student support system could not sufficiently address the factors that inhibit student integration and persistence. The paper’s findings indicate that several strategies, such as improvement in infrastructure and recruiting more qualified staff, could improve student integration and persistence at the TVET College in question.","PeriodicalId":43208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technical Education and Training","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43551339","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using the survey and quantitative approach, the research was conducted at 61 VHS in 27 regencies/cities in West Java, with a representative sample of 183 teachers. The data were analyzed by descriptive and Partial Least Square (PLS). It is found that resistance to change has a negative influence on change management, and that adaptability to change has a positive influence on change management. Thus, the schools have a low tendency to resist because they have the certainty to participate in the changes and have the willingness to undertake the programs to support the emergent changes. The schools have a high propensity to handle change management because they have high dynamic adaptability to change. This study is expected to have an impact on the school management to get a better picture of how to manage the changes effectively and efficiently, and on the government, industry, and community to interactively design the support system in the process of change management at vocational schools.","PeriodicalId":43208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technical Education and Training","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45546377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This scenario also affects the learning of the students thus, creating gaps in their overall performance. Therefore, the study was conducted to explore the challenges and adaptation strategies of Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) Teachers in the northern part of the country who taught courses outside of their specialization. 85 teacher-respondents were involved in this study who were purposively selected. Qualitative design was used in the study that utilizes various data collection procedures, such us open-ended questionnaires and interview guide. Specifically, this study employed the phenomenological type of research where the TVE teachers’ challenges and adaptations are entangled in their everyday teaching strategies allowing for the presentation of authentic and unique experiences. Furthermore, this study captured the feelings and in-depth phenomena about the pressing needs in the teaching-learning process. Also, it utilized narrative research that basically included all the inputs of the teachers in data gathering that further strengthened the research. Data was analyzed using thematic and narrative analyses. Results show that the TVE teachers are assigned to different subjects outside their specialization because of the following factors: type of schools in which they are working, lack of human resources, limited number of students, financial factors, limited learning resources, lack of training or seminars, and motivational factors coming from the school or administration. Hence, they faced various problems and concerns that need to be taken seriously since these result in a gap in the teaching process. With these findings, TVE teachers adapt various strategies to overcome their challenges. Making groups in learning sometimes do not pay attention to the ability to recognize and regulate the feelings of male and female students. This survey research is to investigate meta-affective based on students' experiences in learning science. The research instrument is a questionnaire compiled based on the Awareness Dimension (10 statements) and Regulation Dimension (7 statements) with the level of response, namely frequency (scale 1-6). The research subjects involved were 160 students in Vocational High Schools, with 80 males and 80 females. The results show a comparison between male and female students based on average responses. Students who were female had higher average response scores than students who were male in both the tests of affective awareness and affective control. With the exception of one item, both versions have the same score. The items are MATS-12 \"If I get angry with myself when I do not understand a topic, I notice that feeling\" on affective awareness and MATS-10 \"If I feel angry when I am not successful, I try to control it\". These results conclude that noticing angry feelings and controlling them is the same ability between male and female students. This suggests that, except for rage, which can be recognized and managed by both sexes of students, female students are better able to recognize and manage their emotions.","PeriodicalId":43208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technical Education and Training","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47560264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Career development approaches have recently changed due to the fast-paced global change, competitive industry needs, demands, and global education trends. Traditionally, it was the responsibility of an institution to guarantee that its educators possessed the skills necessary to achieve its long-term objectives. Currently, however, educators should be accountable for their career growth. Therefore, a survey was conducted to discover predictors of development and career paling for TVET educators (n = 141). A multiple regression analysis was conducted for all sets of career planning variables such as career aspirations (88.48%), personal aspirations and drive (85.93%), current competency (86.00%), current learning and development opportunities (82.05%), and company support 87.45%) is measured. This study found changes in the predictor, personal aspirations and drive, current competency, current learning and development opportunities, and organization support are significantly associated with changes in career aspiration. This majority of TVET educators are aware and willing to improve their knowledge and skills to meet the standard of current changes in TVET education needs and demands. The finding indicated that a proven technique for meeting organizational and personnel demands includes creating career routes that allow TVET educators to comprehend their options for advancement within the institution and collecting information to assess their abilities for career relevancy and sustainability.","PeriodicalId":43208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technical Education and Training","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48040074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Theinteraction between two or more parties is important in pursuing the successful planning and implementation of an education and training system in producing a competent workforce. Malaysia is one country that has adopted Public Private Partnership (PPP) as a procurement technique for delivering public sector projects. PPP, taken in its broadest meaning, refers to any arrangement between the public and private sectors for the delivery of public services. However, previous studiesindicated that the collaboration between training institutions and industry is still at a weak level. The majorconstraints were including the failure to understand the work culture of the organization, inconsistency of mission and vision of the organization, weaknesses of the governance system. Therefore, this study aims to propose a model of TVET-Engineering Governance Structure in Collaboration of Malaysian TVET-Engineering Institution and industry partnership. In this case, data were collected from 115 technologists in three different fields involvedmechanical, electric and electronic and civil in Malaysia. Then, the data were analysed using the PLS-SEM 3.3.9 software via the algorithm, bootstrapping and blindfolding method. Through the PLS-SEM approach, this study focuses on the analysis of (a) convergent validity and (b) discriminant validity in which these two validities have six analyses; (i) external loading, (ii) composite reliability, (iii) average variance extracted (AVE), (iv) Fornell-Larcker, (v) cross-loading, and (vi) Heterotrait-Monotrait Ratio (HTMT). Meanwhile, the structural model testing involves the analysis of (i) Multicollinearity (Inner VIF), (ii) Path Coefficient, (iii) R square (R2), (iv) size effect (f2), and (v) Predictive Relevance (Q2). At the end of the analysis, the model that has been developed is relevant to use because each phase meets the conditions that have been set in the PLS-SEM analysis. The result, the governance structure for TVET-Engineering for TVET-Engineering is important since it can contribute to intensifying the Malaysian TVET- Engineering Institution and industry partnership. TVET Institutions must play an important role in fulfillingthe demands from the industry and developing innovative skills for students. Future research is suggested to test the model on a wider range of TVET respondents to see its appropriateness.","PeriodicalId":43208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technical Education and Training","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42265681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
