The purpose of this research is to (1) apply the K-W-L Strategy in Reading Islamic Economics Text (2) know How do the students apply the K-W-L strategy in reading Islamic economics text. This research is conducted in a descriptive qualitative design. The data is collected by observation and documents. Data analysis procedure based on Creswell, Rossman & Marshall, 1) Organizing and familiarizing 2) Coding and reducing 3) Interpreting and representing. The results present that the application of K-W-L strategy is made through three steps, namely 1) Pre-reading, where the teacher or researcher created a good condition of the classroom and introducing passage, and the students filling the chart in K column 2) Whilst reading, the teacher leads the student read the text and started to write down what they want to learn in W column 3) Post-reading in which the students started to comprehend the passage, make a conclusion and stated what they have learned from text based on their comprehension in L column. In a limited physical and mental condition, they are faced with problems in learning, particularly in learning English. This study aims at revealing practices and obstacles in learning English in an intellectual disability classroom that affected the teaching practices. A case study method was used in this study. This study's participants were two teachers at SLB-C Tuna Grahita Palembang selected by a typical sampling technique. The observation and interview were used to collect data regarding realized practices and obstacles in teaching English to students with intellectual disabilities. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The study results indicated that English language teaching practices in intellectual disability classrooms were similar to the regular ones but more oriented to students' needs. Three research focuses are proposed, i.e how are the lexical meaning, how are the contextual meanings, and what are the Holy Qur’an values consists of Raef’s song lyric in The Path album. This study is a library. The data sources are Raef’s song lyric of The Path album which consists of 12 lyrics of songs, and the Holy Qur'an values. The finding revealed that in the lexical analysis, the meaning of a word is varied, for example, the keyword of \"words\" in Peace and Blessing lexically means languages, utterances, promises, signals, and teachings. And contextually, the intended meaning of it is sunnah, then from those meanings, it will relate to the Holy Qur'an value which supports the lyric of song, namely an-Nur (24): 54 which contains the value of Sunnah and the obligation to follow sunnah of Rasulullah, and it relates to the lyric of song when it also talks about the same thing. The result of this research shows that there were four advantages of numbers of English textbooks in student’s reading comprehension, they are as a source of knowledge, as the references, as a training to have better thinking, and as pleasure. This research investigates: how the visual students learn in listening class at the third-semester students of IAIN Madura (Previously STAIN Pamekasan) and what kind of difficulties faced by visual students in listening class and what factors that make the visual students difficult to comprehend the material in listening class. This is qualitative research. The researcher obtained the data through observation, interview and documentation. The results of this research are the visual students in listening class like doodle and some of them like movies. The difficulties faced by the visual students in listening class are: difficult to answer the question directly and difficult to concentrate when they listened the material. The most factor that makes the visual students difficult to comprehend the material because the situation is crowded. This research employs descriptive qualitative method. Two kinds of data collection were used to collect the data, those are observation and documentation. In observation, the researcher does something such as listening to the songs “Someone Like You” and “Don’t You Remember” and listening to the songs again focusing on the lyrics. In documentation, analyzing the lyrics from each song and writing down all the lyrics of two songs to be analyzed use tree diagram. Having analyzed the data, then, finally found sixty forms of the structure of the two Adele’s songs. From the two of Adele’s songs used as the samples in this thesis, grammatical sentence mostly appears rather than ungrammatical sentence. Left hemisphere handles all of analytical, logical matters, and language skill. On the contrary, art objects such as music, imagination, and colors handled by the right one. This research investigated whether there is a significant difference between right hemisphere dominance students and left one in multiple choice of English test. The researcher used ex-post facto research. The population is 294 of first-grade students. The simple random sampling technique used to select 40 students (20 right hemisphere dominance students and 20 left one). In gaining the data, three instruments have been used namely questionnaire, test, and documentation. The data were analyzed using independent t-test. The result revealed that there is a significant difference between right hemisphere dominance students and left one at the first grade MAN 2 of Pamekasan in multiple choice of English test (2.16 > 2.03; Significance level 5%, df = 35). Left brain dominance students are better in multiple choice of English test because language skill is placed on the left hemisphere. However, SDN Kowel 3 Pamekasan, is an elementary school that has implemented the 2013 curriculum since 2013 and has taught English to their students. This research tries to analyze about how does the English teacher formulate the strategy in English teaching-learning and how is the implementation of it while English is not one of Core Curriculum in 2013 Curriculum at the fourth grade of SDN Kowel 3 Pamekasan. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Interview, observation, and documentation were utilized to collect the data. The result shows that the English teacher used the previous curriculum, School-Based Curriculum (SBC), as the basis of the English teaching-learning process when the subject is not in the 2013 curriculum. In this case, the school changes the position of English from an extra curriculum into a local curriculum. Moreover, the English teacher develops the lesson plan from the English material book following School-Based Curriculum format which is different from the lesson plan format of 2013 Curriculum.
