This method is established on the HPLC separation of the two drugs on the ZORBAX ODS column (250×4.6×5µm particle size). The mobile phase contained 1% ortho-phosphoric acid 85% and 1%of diethyl amine 99%, acetonitrile and methanol ratio was 85:10:5 v/v/v. The flow rate is 1.2 mL.min-1, buffer value pH of 2.5 via isocratic elution also UV detection at 210 nm. The retention times for the two drugs AM and CAF were obtained at 4.425 and 6.456 min, respectively. The calibration curves founded that the linear regression analysis data gave a good linear relationship for the concentration range 1 to 100 µg.mL-1 for AM and CAF. The values achieved for correlation coefficient, slope and intercept were 9999, 8104.2 and 5012 for AM and 0.9999, 9698.5 and 6342.9 for CAF, whereas the LOD and LOQ was 0.51, 1.64 µg.mL-1 for AM and 0.60, 1.32 µg.mL-1 for CAF  ","PeriodicalId":431188,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Sciences and Engineering Technologies","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133023839","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this objective,coarse and fine Natural Aggregates (NA) were partially replaced with recycled Refractory Brick Aggregates (RBA). According to the design of experiment, two families of mixes were prepared and tested: the first mixes was made with coarse and fine NA (as reference concrete) and the second mixes made by replacing 20% of coarse and fine NA by coarse and fine RBA. For each of the mentioned families, three cement dosages of 350 kg/m3 , 400 kg/m3 , 450 kg/m3 were investigated. A series of experiments including water porosity, density, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) and compressive strength were assessed. Observed results indicate that the use of coarse and fine RBA had a relatively influence on the water porosity and UPV of concrete. However, the use of coarse and fine RBA produces a slightly decreased the density of concrete (below 2%). Moreover, the use of coarse and fine RBA in concrete improved the compressive strength. Hence, coarse and fine RBA can be successfully used to produce concrete with acceptable properties.","PeriodicalId":431188,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Sciences and Engineering Technologies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115481533","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context, it is imperative to assure the continuous improvement of all processes and practices conducive to guarantee water quality. Water Safety Plans (WSP) are an important public policy tool to accomplish these goals. This manuscript reviews the international evidence of the adoption and implementation of WSP and reports the current situation in Jordan, as part of the necessary adjustment of the national legal framework to the publication of the Directive (EU) 2015/1787, October 6th, on water quality for human consumption. The aim is to draw lessons from several successful WSP experiments around the world and extract lessons from these cases when drafting new legislation in Portugal and elsewhere. Findings suggest there are four critical components in developing and implementing WSP: commitment, technical knowledge, governance, and interagency collaboration.\u0000© 2018. Many researchers had investigated on the causes of VO and proposed procedures to minimize and control this issue; however, the VO is affecting the construction industry badly even at moment. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a powerful management system that can make a significant difference in the project costs. However, BIM has not been examined as a tool to minimize the VO in Jordan. The main target of this study is to utilize BIM applications in reducing the effect of VO on the governmental projects in Jordan. In order to achieve this target, the researcher has designed a questionnaire to gather data related to VO causes and the BIM capability to solve this problem. The data collected from the questionnaires were analyzed statistically. The result from the analysis found that the consultant initiated the highest VO of 50% followed by the clients and the contractors of 20% and 10% unforeseen variation respectively. Moreover, it is found that BIM Design Applications, Facility Operations Simulation, Exploration Design Scenarios, BIM Design Detection and BIM Quantity Take-off and Cost Estimation were significantly capable of minimizing VO. The results show positive relationship with the application of BIM in minimizing VO in the construction industry in Jordan. © 2018. The variations in construction projects mean any change in quantity or quality of the project work. Based on various studies in the Jordanian construction industry it is found various sources of variation orders. Therefore, it is important to provide suitable recommendations to minimize variation orders during the project lifecycle. The aim of this study is to study the variation orders causes on the governmental construction project in Jordan. To meet that aim, a comprehensive literature review was conducted to locate and study the variation orders causes and its effect on construction projects worldwide. To achieve the study objectively the researcher adopted a structured questionnaire to gather the required data about the causes of VO. The collected data were analyzed statistically using the Relative Importance Index (RII). Based on the results of the study the critical causes of VO in construction projects in Jordan are grouped into main four groups such as causes related to owners, causes related to contractors, and causes related to consultants, causes related to unforeseen circumstances. The findings of the current study revealed that the critical causes of VO in the Jordanian construction industry are: unskilled laborers, inaccurate quantity take-off, shortage of human and equipment Resource, change of scope or plans by owners, absence of construction manuals and procedures , unavailability of the required labor skills , logistic delays , shortage of equipment and tools , technology changes , internal politics .Also, the results show that consultants are responsible for about 50% of the causes, 20% due to owners and unforeseen variations, and contractors are responsible for about 10% of the causes.","PeriodicalId":431188,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Sciences and Engineering Technologies","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122368927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
