The synchronous reluctance machine is widely used in low and medium power systems such as wind power generation and new electric vehicle technologies. This paper proposes a rotor topology with flux barriers and direct current excited coils that reduce the torque ripple and replace the permanent magnets used in other reluctance rotor topologies. First, the initial rotor design, without excitation coils, is optimized to obtain a new rotor structure that reduces the electromagnetic torque ripple. In this work, the optimization of the rotor geometry was achieved by using genetic algorithms and the finite element method to optimize and parameterize the main components of the machine. In the optimized rotor model, an external electronic converter is included to feed the coils positioned between the magnetic flux barriers and the segments formed by the ferromagnetic material of the rotor. In recent years, lightning related deaths and injuries have increased in Bangladesh. In 2016 due to lightning, 81 people have died in just two days. Therefore, the GoB has acknowledged lightning as natural disaster. The survey portrayed that around 70% population explain their belief that it is nothing but ray of light of God and it comes down to earth to punish the sinners. The rest people made an attempt to explain the lightning at their own way. About the lightning safety, approximately 80% of the surveyed people are still yet to acquire basic knowledge on lightning safety and around 90% interviewers acknowledge that they donot trust or relay on the forecasting and monitoring by government on weather and climate change. Still people are not educated on consequences of lightning. However, the paper reviews the lighting safety and awareness programs conducted around the world. It also portrays an overview of lightning history along with the misconceptions of lightning. It also highlighted the surveyed summary of the misconceptions of lightning. As the industrial revolution is progressing more and more carbon dioxide is being added to the environment every single day which is leading the world towards the biggest environmental hazards we have ever faced, global warming being the leading consequence, so capturing the carbon dioxide which is emitted from sources like power plants is of the utmost importance. The main idea of this research paper is to provide an innovative way of capturing carbon dioxide emissions from a coal powered power plant. This research paper discusses the design and modeling of a carbon capturing membrane which is being used in an IGCC power plant to capture carbon dioxide from its exhaust gases. The modeling and design of the membrane is done using CFD software namely Ansys workbench. The design and modeling is done using two simulations, one describes the design and structure and the second one demonstrates the working mechanism of the membrane. This paper also briefly discusses IGCC which is environmentally benign compared to traditional pulverized coal-fired power plants, and economically feasible compared to the natural gas combine cycle (NGCC). IGCC power plant is more diverse and offers flexibility in fuel utility. We know that induction motors are reliable, robust and with good operating characteristics. A means of starting, regulating and controlling operating parameters are very necessary to improve motor efficiency. This low productivity witnessed in our brewery industry is surmounted by modeling of alternating current (a.c) motor performance for increased production output using fuzzy logic controller. To achieve this it is done in this manner, characterizing and modeling a conventional AC motor so as to establish its operational features while working on variable frequency drive (VFD) control model with known production output, designing a rule base for the use of fuzzy controller for a stable and improved production output of AC motor and designing SIMULINK model for the performance of AC motor under operational condition for an increased output using fuzzy controller for a brewery industry. The results obtained are the highest conventional quantity of bottles of beer produced was 3240 while that of fuzzy controller was 3245 at a stable time of 4 through 10 seconds. The Indian peninsula has ten coastal states that can generate electricity from Wave Energy Converters (WEC). Unlike Western countries, off-shore WECs of each more than 500 kW are built-in Oscillating Water Column (OWC) of Floating Wind Power, Heavy Buoy Device, etc. We employ 30 to 35 numbers array of PM alternators of each 30 to 50 kW. They are positioned in a zigzag pattern at 100 to 150 meters long on the Shallow Water shore, where the Breaking Sea Waves evolve to give one MVA power or more. The generated power is brought to the shore stations for conditioning and converting to three-phase 440 Volts 50 Hz power for distributions. However, there is an indirect negative impact caused by the electromagnetic field radiation from this device. As well as disrupting the work system in the human body, including changes in heat energy in the tissues of the human body. Research on the effect of electromagnetic radiation on human body fluids has been carried out with simulations using replacement fluids at a frequency of 900 Mhz. Signal generators are used to simulate the emissivity of a cell phone with a transmit power of more than 3.4 times or 5.34 dB of the power emitted by a cell phone. The results of measurements and calculations in the study showed no significant effect on temperature increases or changes in body fluid color. The result of the calculation of the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) value of the maximum emissivity signal produced is 109.46 dBµV - 0.3 V/m, for the conductivity and density of body fluids is 7.46 kg/m3, and shows that it is still below the threshold. the radiation limit permitted by the FCC is 1.6 W/kg, and ICNIRP 2.0 W/kg. Eventually accidents and losses will be brought. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the electromagnetic force properties of end windings. This paper studied on the electromagnetic force properties of end windings in turbo-generators. Firstly, the magnetic field in the end region was analyzed by winding MMF superposition principle and air gap magnetic conductivity method, and the electromagnetic force is got with Ampere law. Then, taking QFSN-600-2YHG turbo-generator as study object, the 3 directional electromagnetic forces and the mechanical responses on the end windings were calculate by electromagnetic-structure coupling finite element analysis method. Finally, the experiment vibrations are tested, and the acceleration data was compared with simulated result. It is shown that each directional electromagnetic force contains both the DC component and even harmonics, which will result in the winding vibration mainly at the double fundamental frequency. Meantime, the radial acceleration is the largest and the axial one is the least, so the radial vibration should be paid more attention to in daily monitoring. Lightning has been identified as one the major causes of weather-related deaths and injuries in Bangladesh. The government of Bangladesh has declared lightning as natural disaster when 81 people have lost their lives in just two days due to lightning in 2016. Lightning is a source of fearfulness, inquisitiveness, inspiration and panic. As number of death has increased in Bangladesh in lightning, so the safety rules for the installation of lightning prevention system which is a mandatory provision under Bangladesh National Building Code, to be followed for building construction. People of low literacy rate have the tendency to violate more, the basic lightning safety guidelines. Hence, awareness program has started to educate the people especially the rural one. However, a survey has been conducted to find out the common myths, beliefs, misconceptions in Bangladesh and its impact on lightning safety. It summarizes the prevailing lightning safety awareness and education around the world. They have been introduced to various fields such as those in laser, fusion research, the production of plasma, shockwaves in water, water treatment, and exhaust gas treatments. Various high voltage pulse sources using insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) semiconductors with high voltage resistivity have been used. Also, Marx bank circuit is well known as an instrument that produces voltage pulses with low repetitive rates. These instruments have several advantages. However, their problems are a complex structure, high cost, and excessive weight. A simple method of producing high voltage pulses with short rising times based on electrostatic induction in external capacitor used for pulse power applications is proposed. The circuit has a simple structure and contains a minimum number of parts, which makes the instrument small and light weight. In fact, the generation of sawtoothed high voltage pulses with short rising times and low repetitive rates of a few 100 Hz was successfully conducted in experiments. Theoretical analysis was simultaneously undertaken. The numerically calculated results for generating high voltage pulses were goodly consistent with the experimental ones.
