The filter structure is based on symmetrical pair of coupled lines, stepped-impedance stub and rectangular defected ground structure slots. A prototype of the obtained structure is fabricated and measured where a good agreement is noticed between simulated and experimental results. Good performances in terms of ultra-wide impedance bandwidth, from 2.9 to 10.6 GHz with a fractional bandwidth of 118.8 %, return loss better than 13 $text{dB}$, upper stopband attenuation higher than 20 dB up to 16 GHz and a sharp selectivity are obtained. The filter bandwidth makes it suitable for the several applications operating in this frequency range.","PeriodicalId":430966,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 21st international Ccnference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134096542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach uses the parameter estimation of the per-phase stator resistance in closed loop control of variable speed of Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS). In the presence of an incipient short-circuit fault, the estimation of the stator resistance in the synchronous reference frame does not make it possible to give the exact information. To solve this problem, a novel fault diagnosis scheme is proposed to estimate the stator winding resistance in three-phase reference frame. The per-phase stator resistance of PMSG is estimated by the on-line MRAS algorithm. This diagnosis detects the fault severity in real time for each stator winding phase. The approach is implemented without the addition of any new devices; moreover, the estimated parameters will be used on the control performance improvement. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can estimate the faulty phase.","PeriodicalId":430966,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 21st international Ccnference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132066668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This allows real-world activities to be synchronized, validated and production costs to be reduced. In this study, a DT model is developed to simulate the maneuvers of the vehicle in the virtual environment and optimize the vehicles' control parameters within the scope of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD) applications. In order to create and validate the DT, we focused on the follow acceleration maneuver (FAM). Firstly, road tests were carried out based on the cases, and vehicle dynamics relevant data were collected with the sensors. The collected data were used to generate scenario files containing static and dynamic environmental information, and movements of road users using ASAM OpenDRIVE® (ODR) and ASAM OpenSCENARIO® (OSC) scenario modelling standards, respectively. The Model. CONNECT™ co-simulation platform (CSP), which enables subsystems containing vehicle model, controller, and scenario information to work together, was used to simulate maneuvers regarding the generated scenarios. While creating the DT, the parameters in the vehicle model were tuned by performing the coastdown maneuver as well as FAM. After all, subsystems were integrated into the AVL Model. CONNECT™ (MC), FAM is performed and controller parameters were optimized using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The main goal of this study is to analyze and validate the DT model, then optimize controller parameters of adaptive cruise control (ACC) with the DT.","PeriodicalId":430966,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 21st international Ccnference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127969373","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conventional power grids are a source of frequent problems, including line losses that cause instability in the distribution of electricity and a huge impact on the environment, causing damage related to climate change. Addressing these problems is seen as an action to achieve sustainable development goals, to ensure a better future. Energy plays a role in improving these goals, which makes automation a very important tool for establishing a more intelligent and reliable distribution. Among these solutions are DC nanogrids, which have the ability to generate energy using their own renewable resources, even in remote areas thanks to artificial intelligence. They can be automatically regulated to prevent energy shortages. This work aims to intelligently manage the distribution of energy produced by several renewable sources in a DC nanogrid. To solve this problem and to ensure a good energy management we have opted to use Fuzzy logic method as artificial intelligence element that controls the energy management in the nanogrid. The simulation results obtained from the proposed algorithm show that it is able to effectively manage the balance between the renewable energy power produced by the nanogrid without causing power imbalance or disruption of the overall system.","PeriodicalId":430966,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 21st international Ccnference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116591813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The precision of the human activity recognition (HAR) system depends on extracted features and robustness of the training model. This study mainly proposed a new scheme SV-KNN based on kernel K-Nearest Neighbors using a compact training data based on the support vectors (SV) to identify the ongoing activity. To reduce the sensory features as the inputs for classifier, we used the Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Comparison of our system with existing classifiers shows the efficiency of SV-KNN approach in terms of accuracy and F-score.","PeriodicalId":430966,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 21st international Ccnference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA)","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130356639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indeed, using UAV s contributes to safer, faster and more accurate inspections, often beyond what the human being can detect. This paper proposes a path-planning method for an autonomous scan mission using a UAV with an onboard camera for concrete structure inspection. The main objectives are ensuring maximum coverage of the structure and collecting and transmitting images to estimate the extent of damage caused by cracks. The proposed solution is integrated and evaluated using the Software-In-the-Loop Simulation. Among the most cardiac vital signs used in clinics and hospitals are Standard 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. Nonetheless, due to many electrodes having be connected in order to acquire all 12 signals, Standard (ECG) remains highly sensitive to ambient and body noise which strongly degrades the signal quality. To meet the need for a reliable ECG system with fewer signal interferences. A reduction of recorded leads should be performed to improve the signal quality. For this purpose, An ECG reconstruction technique using an optimized Long-Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model employing the genetic algorithm will be introduced in this study. The genetic algorithm will be used to optimize the hyper-parameters of the LSTM network such as the activation function, number of units, etc. Subsequently, the optimized LSTM network will be trained using a subset of the PTB diagnostic ECG database. The evaluation of the LSTM model will be carried out using performance measures, in particular root mean square error (RMSE) and the correlation coefficient (CC). The results will be detailed and compared with traditional linear regression and standard LSTM deep learning model.","PeriodicalId":430966,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 21st international Ccnference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129624134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The combined method inherits its advantages from SMC to handles system under the presence of external perturbation and from fuzzy logic to reflect system uncertainties and this later is done by adopting the adaptive technique. The stability of the proposed schema was ensured by the lyaponuv's theory. In order to test the performance of adaptive sliding mod control a comparison study with sliding mode control (SMC) on the inverted pendulum system was carried out. The obtained results and the involved comparison affirm that proposed schema was successful to track the desired input with height accuracy and outperform the SMC in term of robustness.
