Material & Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted for two years in the neonatal intensive care unit of a tertiary care centre. All data were collected in pre-structured and predesigned proforma, and prior informed consent was taken. To analyse the qualitative data, Fisher exact test or chi-square test was used as the test of significance. A P-value of < 0.05 was considered statistically significant with a confidence interval of 95 %. Results: Proportions of ROP increased significantly with an increase in gestational age. Oxygen therapy correlated significantly with the development of ROP. Hyperbilirubinemia requiring phototherapy (80 %), sepsis (73 %), NEC (Necrotizing Enterocolitis) (35 %), HMD (Hyaline Membrane Disease) (41 %), PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) (25 %) and IVH (Intraventricular Hemorrhage) (3.5 %) were found to be statistically significant for ROP development. Laser treatment was found to be very effective in regression of ROP. Conclusions: By preventing prematurity, controlling, or minimizing risk factors and meticulous ophthalmic screening of at-risk preterms, it may be possible to reduce the incidence of ROP. Since ROP is essentially asymptomatic in the early stages, carefully timed retinal examination, and treatment of at-risk infants for ROP by an ophthalmologist are necessary. Stapler technique, commonly used by many of the surgeons is more useful than the hand sewn anastomosis for safety, easy accessibility, duration of procedure, efficiency. This study compares the hand sewn anastomosis with stapler Anastomosis. The purpose of the presentation is to compare the feasibility and outcome of stapler and hand sewn anastomosis in gastro intestinal surgeries. Material & Method: This study was conducted in the department of surgery of our hospital between the groups of hand sewn and stapler anastomosis gastro intestinal surgeries conducted by open technique in period from January 2021 to September 2021. Results: Various parameters like operative time, hospital stay, and post op day of starting oral diet, post op day of appearance of bowel sound, anastomotic leak, time taken to return to work and mortality were compared. Conclusion: Results of this study were comparable to many studies done previously which showed there was not much significant difference in post op outcomes after hand sewn or stapled technique of gastrointestinal anastomosis. Material and Method: Study material consists of total 88 hip bones (52 male and 36 female). Non metric parameter i.e. weight of hip bones was measured by using digital weighing machine and metric parameter i.e. length and width were measured by osteometric board & metallic scale. Coxal index was calculated. Results: The mean weight of male hip bone was 135.91 gram and in female it was 92.21 gram. The mean length of male and female hip bone was 19.65 cm and 18.39 cm respectively. The mean width of male and female hip bone was 14.19 cm and 14.18 cm respectively. Coxal index of male and female hip bones were 72.53 and 77.26 respectively. Conclusion: The mean weight and length of male hip bones were higher than female hip bones. The mean width of male and female hip bones was near to similar. The coxal index was more in female than male hip bone.
