IT has now become a part of organizations' management and strategic decision-making mechanisms. Therefore, organizations make serious investments to develop software and system infrastructures and transfer business processes to digital environments such as cloud technologies in order to spread them to broad stakeholders and customers and to gain business resilience. Here it is essential to provide assurance that an organization’s objectives are met by the management practices of its information systems and that an organization evaluates, develops, implements, maintains, disposes of its IT systems and manages life cycle of all information and information technology systems properly on all physical and logical environments. While achieving this rapid digital transformation, organizations should be protected from material and moral damages such as loss of money, loss of commercial confidential information, loss of reputation by protecting the confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of the information assets they own, and also comply with legal legislations such as the protection of personal data and intellectual property rights. In order to achieve this, organizations benefit from one or more frameworks, standards or directives that are suitable for their own structures and needs, separately or by integrating them. However, the most important point in this transformation process is the transition of organizations from IT management understanding to IT governance. In other words, IT has now become a part of the strategic decision-making mechanism by rising from the level of support tool to carry out business processes in organizations. When we search the academic literature, frameworks and standards, it is seen that the key elements of IT governance are structures, processes and relational mechanisms. If these three components are set up correctly and fit the organization, it can be assured that IT aligns with and supports the objectives of the organizations and that effective IT governance is achieved in every kind of organizations. In this research, databases such as Web of Science, IEEE, and SCOPUS are scanned and found articles are reviewed in order to make a literature review on IT Governance Mechanisms and Frameworks. Results are evaluated and discussed. By the way, suggestions for further studies were made and advanced researches were shed light on.","PeriodicalId":429163,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Learning and Teaching in Digital Age","volume":"80 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139243625","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

MALL is considered as an effective method particularly for young language learners due to their higher level of familiarity with the technology compared to their predecessors. Thus, an increasing number of mobile apps focusing on language education of children has been developed recently. It has also attracted researchers who carry out studies on MALL in terms of various perspectives such as learners’ learning process and perspectives. However, an important aspect of MALL which is the use of portable devices and apps individually out of school settings poses possible problems in terms of carrying out quasi-experimental studies. To this end, this paper combines three major areas in applied linguistics, namely, MALL, quasi-experimental research design, and young language learners and focuses on salient issues which are identified as lack of control, training, convenience of MALL activities for children, and ethical issues. It is believed that this paper will be beneficial to future studies utilising quasi-experimental design in MALL with children.","PeriodicalId":429163,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Learning and Teaching in Digital Age","volume":"29 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139259593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although several instruments assess cyberbullying worldwide, many still need to be adequately validated in different languages, countries, and cultures. The European Cyberbullying Intervention Project Questionnaire (ECIPQ) is one instrument that aims to measure two dimensions of cyberbullying: cyber-victimization and cyber-aggression. Although the instrument has been translated into various languages and validated in several European and non-European countries, adaptation and validation studies have yet to be conducted in Turkish culture. This study aimed to adapt the ECIPQ into Turkish and investigate the psychometric quality of the instrument in the Turkish population. A total sample of 632 college students participated in the study. The results showed that the Turkish version of the ECIPQ had sufficient internal consistency. The confirmatory factor analysis supported the two-factor structure of the ECIPQ. The ECIPQ showed adequate convergent validity, as evidenced by the positive correlation between the cyberbullying and aggression scores and the negative correlation between cyberbullying and self-esteem scores. In conclusion, the ECIPQ can be considered as a psychometrically sound measure to assess Turkish college students' perceived cyber-aggression and cyber-victimization levels.","PeriodicalId":429163,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Learning and Teaching in Digital Age","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139307562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is also figured out the enabler and barrier factors of students’ motivation and perception by learning styles in the 7-week gamified learning process. Participants consist of 95 prospective teachers with different learning styles. Results point out that there is not any significant differences between categories of each learning style dimension in terms of motivation and perception. Students have the high level motivation and perception by each category of four learning style dimensions. There are positive and medium correlations between motivation and perception of students by learning styles. It is also determined the various enabler and barrier factors of students’ motivation and perception in gamified learning process. Frequencies and percentages of enablers are the higher than barriers considering students’ learning styles. These results prove that the gamified activities-tasks considering the learning styles have a power to motivate students with different characteristics to the learning process and provide the positive perception towards the gamified process. It is also discussed the quantitative and qualitative directions for the further researches.","PeriodicalId":429163,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Learning and Teaching in Digital Age","volume":"39 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139349543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mixed method was used in the research; the data were collected using the Digital Literacy Assessment Scale developed by Acar (2015) for quantitative findings and a structured interview form for qualitative findings. The quantitative working group of the study consisted of 733 primary school teachers. In the qualitative dimension of the research, there are data belonging to 7 class teachers who agreed to fill in the structured interview form. Quantitative data of the research were analyzed in SPSS. Qualitative data were analyzed with descriptive analysis method and interpreted according to their relationship with research questions. The result show that the primary school teachers perceive themselves as very sufficient from the different competence areas of digital literacy and that they dominate these competence areas to a great extent. There are significant differences between the digital literacy levels of primary school teachers and their age, gender, educational status, seniority in the profession, possession of a personal computer, constant internet connection, technologies / practices used in education and technological education. However, the level of class they teach is not an effective factor on digital literacy levels. Also, free training should be organized on digital literacy, the use of web 2.0 tools and the integration of technology into the classroom environment, starting with those who have more service than their years of seniority in the profession.","PeriodicalId":429163,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Learning and Teaching in Digital Age","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139353970","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
