The first of them is an algebraic algorithm based on a complex representation matrix, and the second is a complex structure-preserving algorithm based on Gaussian elimination of commutative quaternion matrices. With their help, it was established that the LU decomposition of commutative quaternion matrices is not unique. The paper also presents the results of numerical implementations of a mathematical model for color image restoration using the proposed algorithms, which demonstrated the higher efficiency of the first algorithm.","PeriodicalId":42910,"journal":{"name":"Eurasian Journal of Mathematical and Computer Applications","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138625733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This model treats the 3D information as a whole, and the processing preserves the intrinsic connections between the different channels. However, the computational process of quaternion algebra often generates real parts, which are inevitable. How to ensure the pure imaginary properties of 3D signal models is also a research priority. In this paper, we inves- tigate the low-rank decomposition of pure imaginary quaternion matrices using least squares iteration and give a real structure-preserving algorithm for the low-rank decomposition based on the isomorphic real representation. In addition, this matrix decomposition algorithm is applied to color image compression and 3D wave signal denoising problems. Numerical ex- periments show the effectiveness of the algorithm in this paper.","PeriodicalId":42910,"journal":{"name":"Eurasian Journal of Mathematical and Computer Applications","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139020537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The resulting equation was used to solve the inverse problem of estimating the pollutant mass flow rate based on the arbitrary test functions. The unknown dependence of the total mass flow rate on the coordi- nate was represented as a polynomial. The coefficients of polynomials were determined by the least squares method. It was found that the increase in the degree of the polynomial ensures convergence to the exact solution over the entire interval under study. Such a representation describes test functions with high accuracy. When considering randomized concentration dis- tributions, it was established that an increase in the degree of the polynomial leads, on the contrary, to a deviation from the exact solution. These problems were eliminated with the use of the Lasso regularization method, which provides stable solutions to the inverse problem with a minor deviation from the test functions.","PeriodicalId":42910,"journal":{"name":"Eurasian Journal of Mathematical and Computer Applications","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139026080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The class of fractional-order uncertain nonlinear systems is more general than the existing one in the literature. For the first time, a method based on a new fractional-order state observer is proposed to give robust state estimation of the fractional-order uncertain nonlinear systems. A new condition for the existence of the fractional-order observer in terms of an optimization problem is proposed. This paper presents a concise rule-based approach for event extraction in the aerospace domain, aiming to enhance decision-making processes. The proposed methodology utilizes rule-based pattern-matching techniques to identify and extract events from textual data, such as news articles and research papers. By leveraging linguistic features and syntactic structures, the approach effectively captures event-related information. Additionally, an event map visualization technique is introduced to provide a comprehensive overview of the extracted events and their relationships. The proposed approach, integrated into the Aerospace Expert System (AES), offers a powerful tool for tracking and analyzing events in the aerospace industry. The motivation for this methodo- logy work lies in the lack of available sources facilitating the implementation of computational (in silico) modelling of RBC mechanical properties. Our approach adopts a worm-like chain force model to mimic an individual spectrin deformation and the virtual work principle to extrapolate the spectrin network dynamics. We report modelling tips using coarse-grained scaling techniques and optical tweezers experiments. We validate the model in virtual expe- riments gaining insights on single spectrin equilibrium, the impact of cytoskeletal symmetry defects on system behaviour, and stress transmission and distribution within the network. By performing these virtual experiments, we elucidate the role that the cytoskeleton plays in de- termining the remarkable RBC mechanical behaviour. These findings emphasise the need to consider the cytoskeleton component in the latest and most advanced single-cell mathematical models.","PeriodicalId":42910,"journal":{"name":"Eurasian Journal of Mathematical and Computer Applications","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139014369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They developed these formulas for pricing European call and put options based on certain assumptions in order to minimize risk factor. The underlying asset pays a constant dividend payment during the life of option was one of the assumption to derive these formulas. S. P. Zhu and X. J. He tried and succeed to improve this assumption by taking discrete dividend payments for underlying asset at fixed dividend date. They derived approximate Black-Scholes formulas of European options for plain vanilla payoffs. Note that standard power payoffs are the generalization of plain vanilla payoffs. This paper contributes to the derivation of approximate Black-Scholes formulas for standard power payoffs. Further, the accuracy of these formulas have been checked numerically.","PeriodicalId":42910,"journal":{"name":"Eurasian Journal of Mathematical and Computer Applications","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139024619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In April, flood discharge peaks (with ice motion) cause emergency inun- dations and pose a constant threat to local population. The effect of the landscape structure of river basins, winter-spring temperatures and precipitation on spring flood discharge peaks and troughs (SFDP and SFDT) for April 1951–2020 was analyzed by the example of 34 medium and small rivers of the Altai-Sayan mountain country. We identified nontrivial SFDP/SFDT dependences on meteorological conditions, proposed their physical-hydrological substantia- tions and determined SFDP/SFDT sensitivities to meteorological factor variations as con- tributions to the observed SFDP/SFDT variances.
