Motivated by this problem, and using the ANSYS fluid dynamics software, the hydrodynamic evaluation of the residual water flow in a rural plant maturation pond was carried out. For the stationary modeling of the velocity and turbulence fields, the standard k-ε model was used; and for transient modeling of virtual tracer transport, the species transport model without chemical reaction was used. Subsequently, the analysis of the distribution of retention times was carried out, in order to obtain the flow patterns that govern the hydrodynamics of the pond. The results revealed the presence of hydraulic short circuits, stagnant zones, and recirculations, due to design deficiencies and operating conditions over the years. Given this situation, and by bibliographic recommendation, new modified geometries were proposed with longitudinal and transverse baffles at 70 and 90% in relation to the width and length of the pond. Indeed, this type of soil presents an economic interest related to the exploitation of its clayey materials. Furthermore, the assessment of the potential for differential ground movement through the dryness of the soils and their rehydration is also an important issue to identify in order to reduce the swelling-shrinking hazard. The region of Mers El Kébir located in northwest Algeria, is at risk of this phenomenon because it is known for its marly clay compositions. Mapping this type of soil using satellite imagery offers an alternative to the engineering practice of establishing soil mineralogy, based on X-ray diffraction analysis, which is expensive and time-consuming. The objective of this research is to use ASTER satellite images to map different clay minerals. Generating test data is a critical task, as exhaustive testing is costly in time and effort. An adequate design of the test cases, which contemplates a selection of adequate values, can detect a high number of defects. The effectiveness of the test cases is measured according to the number of errors they managed to detect. However, the proposals that address these issues with the use of heuristic algorithms focus on the reduction of generation time and different coverage criteria.\u0000This article presents a search-based optimization model for the generation of unit test suites that integrates different test case design techniques considering the significance of the values generated in the detection of errors. The significance of the paths is also taken into account, with the aim of obtaining test cases with greater potential to detect errors. The optimization model uses heuristic algorithms that maximize the coverage of the paths. The results of the experimentation are presented, which show that the proposal presented generates test suits with a high capacity to detect errors. Keith","doi":"10.17533/udea.redin.20221097","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17533/udea.redin.20221097","url":null,"abstract":"Mercury concentration measurements were compiled from 72 sites located throughout seven departments of Colombia using field information gathered from 2016–2021 by Pure Earth, an international non-profit organization, and secondary information from previously conducted studies. These measurements and other data such as type of contaminated resource (water, soil), resource use (fishing, agricultural, residential, and industrial), estimated at-risk population, and permissible contamination limits were entered into Pure Earth’s Toxic Site Identification Program (TSIP) database. Using information from the TSIP database, the Blacksmith Index, a contaminated site intervention prioritization index, was calculated for all 72 sites. After applying exclusion criteria to the sites for this study, the results show that approximately 55,095 people are affected by mercury contamination in 44 sites. In this article, we reviewed 74 research studies indexed in different databases such as Scopus, Scielo, Ebsco, Proquest, Springer Link, and ScienceDirect, whose publication has not exceeded seven years, with the objective of carrying out a systematic review of the use, effect and influence of marine debris as soil stabilizers. For this purpose, the analyses of the mechanical and also physical properties of such mixtures in different marine debris were reviewed compared to the various types of stabilizers currently used. These evaluated results indicate, that the Pacific razor clam shell offers a lower bearing capacity compared to the fan shell when stabilizing clayey soil. However, the shredded output of both types of marine debris can meet the need for clay subgrade stabilization. That is why this article aims to propose the validation of a cybersecurity framework that allows mitigating and reducing risks to increase security levels through the implementation of controls for homes and organizations using emerging technologies such as: IoT, Blockchain and Deep Learning. The processes of vocational guidance are dynamic and focus on educating and favoring the decision-making process in the professional choice for a learning pathway throughout the student's life, which will benefit society in the long run. Most of the current solutions, both theoretical and applied, from Europe and North America differ when used in the Colombian context, mainly for adults, since the process of classifying professions is not accurate nor precise. In addition, there are various educational projects and evaluation systems in secondary education level institutions. At this level, the students have a changing vocational choice which implies taking into account specific characteristics of the context, also, the student profile vocational guidance determinants. The objective of this article is to describe the adaptive model of occupational classification integrated into the Intelligent Web Platform used in educational institutions in the Department of Cauca.
