Also in an island mode on board energy system or in the large power system the optimal power generation distribution between the operating units is crucial for increase the success of the mission or for the protection of the environment or decrease the costs. A method for generator scheduling and simultaneous allocation of reserves is proposed in this article. Based on the decomposition and piecewise linear approximation of generation characteristics, we formulate the optimization framework in a distributed manner, making the utilization of parallel computing power possible. We define a finite number of operation modes for each generator, and analyze the feasibility and resulting cost of their possible combinations. Secondary and tertiary reserves are also allocated in the process. A simple heuristic is introduced to reduce the number of operating profiles taken into account.","PeriodicalId":425929,"journal":{"name":"2018 XIII International Scientific Conference - New Trends in Aviation Development (NTAD)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132795679","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is the reason why the development of detection systems gains importance. Radar systems and specific frequencies detectors have their limitations, so it is necessary to develop different sensing methods. The presented paper deals with the possible lowrange method to detect electric-powered multirotor UAVs based on the low frequency magnetic fields generated around them. The results of the realized experiments with magnetic field sensors show that the UAV creates measurable magnetic fields disturbances that could be used as an intrusion indicator.","PeriodicalId":425929,"journal":{"name":"2018 XIII International Scientific Conference - New Trends in Aviation Development (NTAD)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115260910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The reader has presented an explanation of the services and functions currently realized solutions for check-in and gate clients at airport terminals along with the methods and technologies used for the implementation of the individual software modules of the system. The introduced system enables variable configurations of the separate workplaces employed at passenger check-in and airplane boarding. Its variability makes it possible to allocate workplaces either by the plan of operation or the actual needs of the passenger handling company. The solution realized by the authors can also be used for simulation of real operation when dealing with both the passenger and baggage handling processes.","PeriodicalId":425929,"journal":{"name":"2018 XIII International Scientific Conference - New Trends in Aviation Development (NTAD)","volume":"763 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116132952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the advantages of the methodology is that for the accelerometers and magnetometers which are a part of the inertial measurement unit (IMU) only one calibration experiment is required. The methodology is based on the sensor rotation around one of three sensitivity axes placed perpendicularly to the plane of the vector of gravity. The positioning of the sensors can be performed stepwise but also continuously because there is no requirement for the assignment of samples to the particular degrees of the sensor rotation.","PeriodicalId":425929,"journal":{"name":"2018 XIII International Scientific Conference - New Trends in Aviation Development (NTAD)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134074288","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As part of ensuring safety and security at the airport, individual forces must work together at tactical and operational level. One of the modern ways to improve safety and security can be to unify dispatching centers into one operating center. Verification of the functionality of an operating center can be a form of screening exercise. In the airport area, exercises are very demanding, not only in terms of organization, personnel and technical, but above all financially. The first part of article shows possible distribution of the airport forces in one integrated operational center. In the second part article points on simulations as a teaching methods and outlines the possibility of using simulations to perform an exercise at the airport.","PeriodicalId":425929,"journal":{"name":"2018 XIII International Scientific Conference - New Trends in Aviation Development (NTAD)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131266931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Along with increased use of composites, multiple Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods have been further developed specifically for inspecting them. Among them one can single out Ultrasonic Phased Arrays. Research described in this article focuses on the use of UT PA for production flaw investigation on an aileron. Examined part was made of up to 16 layers of BAER 3068 epoxy carbon prepreg. Investigation was done by using tap test, conventional ultrasonic measurement and phased array methods. Phased array method allowed us to thoroughly check the affected specimen and confirm the presence of production flaw in the form of epoxy resin buildup. Results show how effective this method can be and present its advantages over traditional UT inspections.","PeriodicalId":425929,"journal":{"name":"2018 XIII International Scientific Conference - New Trends in Aviation Development (NTAD)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121276828","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
