Airport integrated operational center

Abstract

An important aspect at the airport is its safety and security. As part of ensuring safety and security at the airport, individual forces must work together at tactical and operational level. One of the modern ways to improve safety and security can be to unify dispatching centers into one operating center. Verification of the functionality of an operating center can be a form of screening exercise. In the airport area, exercises are very demanding, not only in terms of organization, personnel and technical, but above all financially. The first part of article shows possible distribution of the airport forces in one integrated operational center. In the second part article points on simulations as a teaching methods and outlines the possibility of using simulations to perform an exercise at the airport.
