To manage these requirements and to reduce the engineering effort new designs of control systems are needed. Service-orientation brings flexibility and dynamics to the control systems and seems to be a good approach for industrial automation. But, as a drawback, all involved components need to manage the different services, the system has to master the dynamic distribution of the services and the application functions have to handle the changing addresses. This work presents concepts by which applications could be built on top of a service-oriented middleware without the need to handle location addresses. Additionally, a migration path is presented for the access to a classical API-based implementation within the dynamic and flexible environment of a new process control middleware. For evaluation of the concepts a prototype was developed.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116062932","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a motion estimator for an autonomous quadrotor in indoor environments, without the need for information from an external tracking system. As main sensor a simple, low-cost optical-flow sensor chip is used. Hence, the estimator needs only few resources for post-processing and is intended to be suitable for running on a simple microcontroller.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125417666","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We focus on wafer level approaches with the CVD and DEP method for growing as well as depositing CNTs in a defined way. So that we present methods to manipulate CNT growth structure, growth mode as well as growth inhibition in thermal CVD processes. This is highlighted by a unique growth structure opening new possibilities for CNT integration. Likewise, we show recent developments in scaling up the DEP method on wafer level. We round it up with the fabrication of CNT vias and MEMS structures containing CNT sensor elements.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129589927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research has been initiated for the need to validate a mathematical model of the HAWT that was recently published in the literature. In addition, the developed FEM serves for better understanding of the effects of cracks with different shapes and orientations on the dynamic behaviors of the wind turbine. We perform a modal analysis to determine the first two sets of four natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes. The influence of crack position, size, shape and number on the eigenstructure of the wind turbine is thoroughly investigated using the FEM. The current study will enable the authors to conduct a future investigation on the influence of structural damage on the dynamic response of the HAWT. In particular, future research will focus on determining a set of parameters and/or dynamic variables that are sensitive to crack development. This research is highly valuable for damage detection and health monitoring processes.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132433225","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a performance investigation has been made to check the validity of the proposed work. This investigation has been made based on two crucial factors, BER and the Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function (CCDF). A MATLAB based simulation has been taking over to examine this performance and to compare it with conventional OFDM that is based on FFT. The extracted results show that the WF-O-FDM depicts an improvement of the BER for the same optical bandwidth occupancy, while the Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) values has been reduced for about 85% compared with the conventional one.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132544403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
