In this paper, we present an ease to use semi-automatic tool which can detect and separate stains in tissue samples correctly. This statistical model based tool has been applied to detecting different kinds of stains. Multiple evaluation processes are implemented to demonstrate the robustness, accuracy and usefulness of this tool. Firstly the approximate target regions of each single-frame infrared image are detected by weighted information entropy. Secondly the new fusion algorithm based on SIDWT is proposed to fuse the target regions of the registered infrared and visible images. Lastly the fused target regions are fused with the background regions of visible sequences. The comparison experiments with the traditional static fusion algorithms show that the new proposed algorithm not only meets the real-time requirements of video fusion, but can effectively avoid the problem of the weakened target information in the fused image, which realize the complementary advantages of the two types of source images.","PeriodicalId":425822,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125739764","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we present a novel appearance-based method by multi-resolution saliency-weighted color histograms and local structural sparse coding for re-identification work. The former descriptor captures global chromatic content while the latter exploits both partial and spatial information of individuals. Specifically, visual saliency is considered as weighting operators to increase the discriminative power of features. Finally a combinational matching strategy is employed to measure the similarity between individuals. Experimental results over two challenging benchmark datasets (VIPeR, ETHZ) demonstrate that our method obtains competitive performance.","PeriodicalId":425822,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"1976 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127869111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we proposed using normalized nonlinear diffusion regularization for motion deblurring. To reduce the complexity of solving the deblurring equation, a fast method called Split method is used. Because the result derived from the energy function give the lowest cost, our method doesn't need any auxiliary method for solving the energy function besides multiscale implementation. Using the estimated kernel, the final clear image can be got by total variation method. Moreover, improving the road recognition of public transport vehicles can greatly improve safe driving performance as well as safety and comfort of passenger. Road before driving generally includes vehicle, pedestrians and suspected obstacles, which can be detected based on image technology intuitively and quickly. Based on video image processing technology, using imaging principles, this paper predicts the bus driving route of next moment, and calculates the minimum safe distance after making Canny edge improved algorithm. Coupling radar real-time detects for speed and distance of obstacles in front, the real-time monitoring of road front driving for bus is realized. Recently, the modular representation based method, i.e., modular linear regression based classification (MLRC) was proposed to deal with this problem. However, MLRC just simply combines the individual decision of each block within an image (based on the min rule) to make final decision. Therefore, the block distance information is not fully exploited. In this paper, we propose a robust modular linear regression based classification (RMLRC) method to overcome the above problem. RMLRC can effectively fuse the information provided by all the blocks and thus alleviate the limiations of the MLRC method. Experimental results show that the RMLRC method can achieve promising results for face recognition with occlusion.","PeriodicalId":425822,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"8 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124209509","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our method is based on existing space carving algorithm which considers photo hull as the final result. Our goal is to solve the visibility problem during carving the visual hull. A new concept Discrete Viewing Edge (DVE) is proposed to represent the visual hull instead of a 3D array. DVE is based on voxels and is simple but effective. With models represented by DVEs, we present a surface extraction algorithm and a carve procedure, during which the visibility of a voxel can be determined rapidly and easily. Our way of determining the visibility of a voxel is global, i.e., we take all possible cameras to which this voxel is visible into account. We apply our method to a set of synthetic pictures and provide arbitrary views of target model which are different from existing cameras.","PeriodicalId":425822,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124300610","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the LCD display system, the display controller is one of the core components. In order to reduce the cost and satisfy the demands of different specifications of LCD and different display application requirements, the display controller must be designed to be more configurable and reusable. In this paper, we propose an implementation of the configurable display controller IP core based on SOPC system. This display controller can not only realize different display resolutions and different input data formats configuration, but also support multi-layers displaying and blending operation, dithering function and gamma correction. The whole functions of the display controller are described by the Verilog HDL language and tested on the FPGA board DE4-530. The high-speed rail GIS cannot render enormous 3D models in real time. 3D models are loaded slowly and rendered nonfluency. The paper focuses on showing 3D models based on LOD (level of detail), loading models incrementally, sharing the pier models and textures to reduce memory footprint. Because of the winding railway line, bullet train jumps to move ahead and deviates from its normal 3D rail path. We propose a method of how to update the bullet train's position and direction.
