This paper first analyzed billet electromagnetic induction heating mechanism, determined the factors which caused the billet temperature rise, and applied artificial neural network to establish the temperature prediction model. Then, with decoupling the relationship between the billet heating conditions and the voltage curve, this paper applied the random search method to optimize the voltage control curve based on the prediction model.
