This requirement is indispensable for the education organizations at all levels of education, including higher education organizations. The use of instructional technology not only increases the success of the students but also offers many advantages to the academic staff. To benefit from technology for educational purposes, the staff must first adopt the technology and use it to support their teaching and then restructure their teaching experience with technology. The purpose of this study is to investigate the issues in technology integration of academic staff at a Turkish university located in Central Anatolia. Both qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques were used in this study designed as a correlational survey research. The results showed that the techno-pedagogical competence of academic staff was almost at the advanced level. Moreover, the staff had high level of information and communication technologies (ICT) acceptance so they used technology in their teaching quite often. The participants reported that they used technology during the presentation of slides, and listed their major problems as insufficient infrastructure, limited ICT skills, inadequate technical support, and student- and software- related problems. Besides being the primary institutions of a country that expand overseas, universities are the most important organizations representing it at the international level. It is an undeniable fact that a university benefits the country in which it is located in many ways. It is crucial to examine the performances of universities, which are among the major drivers of global change. As such, the positions of the Turkish universities during the 2008–2009 and 2018–2019 periods were examined by multidimensional scaling analysis. Especially the change in the positions of the recently-opened universities and their proximity or distance to the established universities constitute the primary focus of this study. The universities in Turkey were analyzed through multidimensional scaling analysis by using the variables of the number of students at associate and undergraduate level, the number of academic staff, the number of doctoral students, the total number of publications, and the number of graduate students. Co-authored publications are a result of voluntary research collaboration among academics. This study aims to investigate the reasons for research collaboration, the factors affecting the success of research collaboration, and the disadvantages of the collaboration perceived by researchers. For this purpose, qualitative research was conducted, and interviews were conducted with ten academics with different titles working in different disciplines. Among the reasons for collaboration, the most frequently reported reasons were increasing the quality of publications, ensuring learning and development, improving social relations, expertise, and access to resources. Factors such as being honest and trustworthy of the research partner, fulfilling the responsibilities of the parties, interpersonal harmony, complying with the business plan and calendar are among the factors considered to affect the success of the collaboration. Over time, with the effect of the American campus model, they have become independent settlements that can grow and develop in large areas outside of cities. Today, however, many university campuses are functionally, economically, and socially obsolete and in need of restructuring. This study aims to develop a systematic decision-making process for the evaluation of urban settlement of universities in accordance with some parameters. Thus, based on the national and international research on the location selection of universities, ‘25 subparameters under four main parameter groups affecting the urban location selection’ were identified. The analysis of these parameters was performed by applying the AHP method, the evaluation of alternative decisions was carried out by applying the TOPSIS method, and a decision-making methodology was developed for the location selection of universities within the city. To test this methodology, ‘Selçuk University’ was determined as the sampling site. With the method developed in the study, it was determined that the interaction between the university and the city and the accessibility of the university were critical in the urban settlement of the universities. Although the establishment of a university campus has become easier with the growth and development of higher education today, the fact that universities exist for the society and cannot be isolated from it should not be forgotten. Using a cross-cultural survey design, data were collected from 5052 students. Based on the collected data, 58.5% of the students have asynchronous distance learning classes in their universities. Access to distance learning classes is one of the problems, and it is attributed to computers, internet, and connectivity issues as well as with starting the lessons too early or late. A majority of participants (73.7%) found class materials uploaded by lecturers to distance learning systems to be sufficient or partially sufficient, and 36.7% stated that they had problems accessing resources regarding their homework. Students' satisfaction level with the distance learning system scored 4.4 out of 10. Due to its contribution to the development of academic staff, the creation of a common culture in line with the interests and needs of stakeholders and the vision of the institution, and the distribution of workload, performance evaluation and management of resource use, academic leadership is associated with the concepts of professional development, higher education culture, and higher education management. The 50-item draft scale prepared by reviewing the related literature was given to 57 faculty members in the piloting stage, 490 faculty members in the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) stage, and 200 faculty members in the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) stage. The sample of the study was chosen by using the maximum variation sampling method. The three sub-dimensions (professional development, higher education culture and higher education administration) obtained as a result of the EFA applied to reveal the construct validity of the scale were also confirmed by the CFA. The reliability of the scale was found by calculating the Cronbach's alpha coefficient and each of its three sub-dimensions was found to be highly reliable. A total of 23 articles meeting the predetermined criteria were included in the study. These articles were analyzed by using the thematic synthesis approach, one of the meta-synthesis methods. The meta-synthesis process developed by Walsh and Downe (2005) was followed in the analysis. Established codes and themes were presented in frequency tables and interpreted. The distance education problems experienced in higher education were discussed under five categories as the \"problems relevant to students\", \"problems relevant to instructors\", \"systemic and administrative problems\", \"problems relevant to curriculum\", and \"infrastructure and financial problems\". Academic synergy can be defined as the process by which two or more academics work together to achieve more than what they can individually. This study focuses on how academics can combine their knowledge and experience to achieve more efficiency/work (publications, articles, papers, projects, etc.) with the same effort they would spend alone. It is designed as a case study, applying a qualitative research method. The interviews were conducted with 21 academic staff members working at a public university. The results indicate that having a higher or lower academic title does not have a significant effect on the willingness to work together. Most of the participants stated that, for joint studies, they prefer to work with colleagues who have \"academic background in the field of study\". The results also revealed that academics' positive personal characteristics such as being open to cooperation, acting responsibly, and being sincere are considered as some important criteria for joint studies. The results also show that the majority prefer to collaborate with other academics rather than conducting individual studies. The academics prefer to collaborate to increase productivity and to compensate for their shortcomings. Most of them further stated that the academic incentive program introduced by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) has increased the number of collaborative studies and the motivation to work together, but at the same time, decreased the research quality and led to some unethical behaviors. In line with this general purpose, it was determined whether the perceptions of academics' intellectual leadership affect their perceptions of perceived organizational support and organizational citizenship. The causal design was used in the study. The sample population of the study is composed of 731 academics working in 13 universities selected by convenience sampling from the Central Anatolia, Aegean, Black Sea and East Anatolia regions of Turkey. The data were collected with Academic Intellectual Leadership Scale, Perceived Organizational Support Scale, and Organizational Citizenship Scale in the 2018-2019 academic year. Mean, standard deviance, and correlation analysis were used for the analysis of the descriptive data, and path analysis was used to test the theoretical model. The findings show that academics' academic intellectual leadership perceptions positively effect their perceptions of perceived organizational support (γ=.24) and organizational citizenship (γ=.38). A total of 161 university students from a public university participated voluntarily in the study. The Scientific Epistemological Beliefs Survey and The Nature of Science View Scale (NOSVS) were used as the data collection tools. The data analysis revealed that 88.2% of the students hold a traditional conception of science and 11.8% of them have a non-traditional conception of science. Also, the analysis of their nature of science views showed that 49.7% of them have a contemporary, while 50.3% have a transitional view of the nature of science. In addition, it was found that factor and total scores of students' nature of science views have a statically significant difference, depending on their traditional and non-traditional conception of science.
